형상에 따른 주름강판의 탄성전단좌굴 특성 및 경향성 분석 연구 (Analysis on the Elastic Shear Buckling Characteristics of Corrugated Steel Plate in Accordance with Corrugation Shape)

  • 본 연구는 정현형 주름과 마름모형 주름 형상의 전단좌굴 특성을 비교, 분석하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해서 동일한 길이의 마름모꼴 주름과 정현파주름을 해석대상모델로 채택하였으며, 선형좌굴해석을 통한 전단좌굴특성과 이론식에 의한 특성을 분석하였다. 일반적으로 주름강판의 전단좌굴 형태는 국부좌굴, 전체좌굴 및 두 좌굴에 의한 연성좌굴로 분류된다. 그러나 마름모꼴주름과는 달리 정현파주름형상은 평평한 면이 없기 때문에 전단좌굴의 양상에 대한 경향이 달라진다. 특히 국부좌굴과 전체좌굴의 경계에서 나타나는 전단응력변화와 양상은 주름형태에 의해 차이가 난다. 분석 결과에서 볼 때, 제형 (마름모꼴)의 경우는 이론식내의 전체좌굴과 국부좌굴의 경계에서 연성좌굴모드가 발생했다. 그러나 정현파형의 경우 전체좌굴이 발생하는 구간에서 연성좌굴모드가 발생하는 양상을 보였다. 또한 국부좌굴 구간에는 제형형상이 그리고 전체좌굴 구간에서는 정현파형상이 전단좌굴에 저항하는데 유리하게 작용하였다.

Geometrical imperfection and thermal effects on nonlinear stability of microbeams made of graphene-reinforced nano-composites

  • This research is related to nonlinear stability analysis of advanced microbeams reinforced by Graphene Platelets (GPLs) considering generic geometrical imperfections and thermal loading effect. Uniform, linear and nonlinear distributions of GPLs in transverse direction have been considered. Imperfection sensitivity of post-bucking behaviors of the microbeam to different kinds of geometric imperfections have been examined. Geometric imperfection is first considered to be identical as the first buckling mode, then a generic function is employed to consider sine-type, local-type and global-type imperfectness. Modified couple stress theory is adopted to incorporate size-dependent behaviors of the beam at micro scale. The post-buckling problem is solved analytically to derive load-amplitude curves. It is shown that post-buckling behavior of microbeam is dependent on the type geometric imperfection and its magnitude. Also, post-buckling load can be enhanced by adding more GPLs or selecting a suitable distribution for GPLs.

  • The focused topic according to be slender and longer of cable stayed bridge's main span is as follows (1) Aerodynamic stability (2) Lateral movement of stiffening girder caused by wind force during and after construction (3) Global bucking of stiffening girder caused by axial force Among this, the number 3 has not received much attention in the past due to high buckling safety factor of stiffening girder. However, according to be slender of stiffening girder, the topic of buckling stability of girder is not any more unconcerned subject. The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of stay cable's nonlinear behavior on the buckling stability of cable-stayed bridge.

  • The structural behavior of welded steel box columns subjected to axial compression and combined load of axial and horizontal load is described. The nonlinear stress-strain relation of the material and residual stress resulted from welds were included in the analysis. Inelastic buckling analysis of hollow rectangular sections of various width-thickness and slenderness ratios was carried out using the semi-analytical and spline finite strip method to investigate the local and global bucking stress and mode interaction. The buckling stress was compared with test results and design curves. Post-buckling behavior was traced by the finite element program(ADINA) and compared with experimental results. The comparison showed that the ultimate stress can be used for the design purpose.

콘크리트 충전 각형강관 기둥의 폭두께비 제한에 관한 연구 (Limitations on the Width-to-Thickness Ratio of Rectangular Concrete-Filled Tubular (CFT) Columns)

  • 구조적 우수성이 입증된 콘크리트 충전 강관 (CFT) 시스템은 폭두께비가 큰 강관을 사용할 때 더욱 경제적인 설계가 될 수 있다. 하지만, 현재 국내외의 규준에서는 CFT에 사용할 수 있는 강관의 폭두께비를 제한하고 있어 건설 재료를 보다 더 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 미리 차단하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 폭두께비 60, 70, 80, 90, 100를 갖는 각형 단주 CFT에 대해 압축실험을 실시하여 CFT에서의 좌굴 후 내력을 확인하였고 기존의 규준에서 제시한 폭두께비 제한치를 완화한 식을 제시하였다.

Minimum stiffness of bracing for multi-column framed structures

  • A method that determines the minimum stiffness of baracing to achieve non-sway buckling conditions at a given story level of a multi-column elastic frame is proposed. Condensed equations that evaluate the required minimum stiffness of the lateral and torsional bracing are derived using the classical stability functions. The proposed method is applicable to elastic framed structures with rigid, semirigid, and simple connections. It is shown that the minimum stiffness of the bracing required by a multi-column system depends on: 1) the plan layout of the columns; 2) the variation in height and cross sectional properties among the columns; 3) the applied axial load pattern on the columns; 4) the lack of symmetry in the loading pattern, column layout, column sizes and heights that cause torsion-sway and its effects on the flexural bucking capacity; and 5) the flexural and torsional end restrains of the columns. The proposed method is limited to elastic framed structures with columns of doubly symmetrical cross section with their principal axes parallel to the global axes. However, it can be applied to inelastic structures when the nonlinear behavior is concentrated at the end connections. The effects of axial deformations in beams and columns are neglected. Three examples are presented in detail to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
