  • This study explores the divergence of grounded theory focused on the differences of Glaser and Strauss. Grounded theory has been divided into two versions, Glaser version and Strauss version. Two versions are different in research methodology. Therefore, it is important for us to choose one of these two version. There are many grounded theory researches or qualitative researches by grounded theory approach in Korea. But Theses researches has been studied only Strauss version. Therefore this article introduces the differences of Glaser method and Strauss method in various aspects of research methods: basic logic of research process, core category and basic social process, and coding methods - especially axial coding, selective coding and theoretical coding. Glaser and Strauss argued differently in many aspects of grounded theory method.

  • Recently, many researchers have developed various service robots, in which the position estimation and path following of mobile objects have been raised an important problem. We should know where a mobile robot so that there are many introduced localization and path following schemes. In this paper, we propose an efficient localization algorithm for the precise localization of a mobile robot with the glaser stream sensor. We use the glaser stream sensor for following a given path in indoor environments. Since the glaser stream sensor utilizes precise optical motion estimation technology, we can achieve high speed motion detection and high resolution. The experimental results show that the glaser stream sensor may be a good sensor for many indoor service robots.

  • Oligodeoxyribonucleotide bearing the di-acetylenic linkage has been prepared. Staring from 5-Iodo-2'-deoxyuridine(1), a four-step sequence, consisting of the Pd(0)-catalyzed Heck-type C-C coupling with acetylenic group, protection of 5'-hydroxy group, generation of acetylenic hydrogen, and Glaser oxidative coupling reaction leads to the dimeric oligodeoxyribonucleotide(5).

  • The purpose of this paper was to identify and compare the underlying design theory of contemporary European and Japanese fashion designers by using the qualitative research method of grounded theory developed by Glaser and Strauss (1967) and Glaser (1978). In this research, four fashion sites-Paris, Milan, London and Tokyo-were selected. The researcher stayed in each site for a period of two to three weeks for the purpose of data collection. A total of 60 fashion designers, educators, students and journalists were interviewed. 53 open-ended design questionnaires were returned by fashion designers and students. 19 on-site observations of fashion designers and educators were done. Grounded theories of fashion designers were synthesized from in-depth interviews, participant observations and questionnaire surveys of fashion designers, students and educators. The results of theory-building research suggested that there were significant differences between the grounded design theories of European and Japanese fashion designers due to their various cultural contexts.

  • The main purpose of this study is to classify types of class using computer in the school mathematics classroom. For this purpose, we will first survey the Tyle's theory relate to the curriculum model and its details. Then we will investigate the crucial points using computer in the school mathematics classroom in the viewpoint of Glaser's teaching model. From this, we will device several types of mathematics class using computer.

  • This paper assesses the stmpage value of Korean white pine (Pinus koraiensis) stands in the Research Forest of Kangwon National University. Assessment was done by means of the cost value method (Faustmann formula) for age class I, Glaser method for age class II-V, and inversion market method for age class over VI. Generally the value of stumpage is calculated by the inversion market method in the market. However, immature trees and middle age class trees are not assessed in market, and the Korean forest is not old enough to harvest. So, when forests are damaged by attacks from forest fire, blight and harmful insects, the forest cannot be compensated for the loss from the government or insurance company. For this reason, the value of all-age class trees are calculated by using appropriate methods. As a result, the value of age I class stands (0.3 ha) is calculated as 1,786,305 (won), age II-Vclass stands (22.1 ha) 206,677,975 (won) and age VI class and over stands (24.8 ha) 523,789,603 (won).

  • The government is to prevent technology leakage in 2007, the Industrial Technology Protection Act was enacted and encouraging deployment of security equipment. in this study, corporate security equipment for the tried to determine the cause. In contrast to quantitative research, which is an existing research method, Barney G. Glaser & Anselm L. Strauss used a grounded theory as a kind of qualitative methodology in social science. As a result, it was found that the higher the government subsidy, the request from the representative or the client, the higher the efficiency through the prevention of technology leakage, the higher the sales increase, In the United States.

  • We have carried out the Glaser oxidative coupling polymerizations of diethynyldiphenylsilane, diethynylmethylphenylsilane, diethynylmethyloctylsilane, and 1,2-diethynyl-1,1,2,2-tetramethyldisilane to afford polycarbosilanes containing diethynyl and organosilane groups in the main chain, such as poly(diethynyldiphenylsilane), poly(diethynylmethylphenylsilane), poly(diethynylmethyloctylsilane), and poly(1,2-diethynyl-1,1,2,2-tetramethyldisilane), respectively. These obtained materials are almost insoluble in common organic solvents such as $CHCl_3$ and THF probably due to the presence of a rigid rod diacetylene group along the polymer main chain. Therefore, the polymers were characterized using several spectroscopic methods in solid state. FTIR spectra of all the polymeric materials show that the characteristic $C \equiv C$ stretching frequencies appear at 2147-2154 $cm ^{-1}$, in particular. The polymers in the solid state exhibit that the strong maximum excitation peaks appear at 260-283 nm and the strong maximum fluorescence emission bands at 367-412 nm, especially. Thermogravimetric analysis of the materials shows that about 55-68% of the initial polymer weights remain at 400 ${^{\circ}C}$ in nitrogen.
