  • The maximum transmission voltage in our country is going to change 345kV into 765kV owing to the increase of Electrical Power Demand and power System Stability. Our company is developing 800kV GIS and 765kV Transformer which are main equipments in 765kV substation. This paper describs the specification on 800kV GIS which we prepared for 800kV 8,000A 50kA GIS development. This specification is supported by Public Standards and Data. And, we are designing the 800kV GIS on this specification and drawing up the 800kV GIS layout for type test.

  • 1995년부터 시작된 국가GIS 구축사업은 초기에는 공간정보기반을 확충하기 위하여 주로 중앙부처와 공공기관을 중심으로 추진되어 왔으나, 앞으로는 행정업무와 대민서비스를 수행하는 기초자치단체를 중심으로 추진될 것으로 전망된다. 그 이유는 지자체의 행정 업무시스템을 통해서 생산 관리 갱신된 지리정보 데이터가 중앙부처로 연계되어 활용될 것이기 때문이다. 이 연구에서는 향후 중요도가 높아질 것으로 예상되는 지자체 GIS정책 수립을 위해 지자체의 GIS 활용 및 운용실태를 조사하였다. 그 결과 지자체별로 GIS활용의 정도와 수준 차이가 매우 크게 나타났으며, 환경도 아직은 열악한 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 재정자립도가 낮은 지자체의 GIS구축 및 활용수준을 높일 수 있는 대책과 함께 지자체간 정보격차를 줄여갈 방안이 시급한 실정이다.

  • Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) is developing as a tool for environmentally sound and sustainable development in Korea. For more effective implementation of it, we try to apply Environmental Information System (EIS) to EIA process. EIS is composed of geographic and attribute data related to environment and Geographic Information System(GIS), and it will be applied to scoping, prediction, and alternative assessment, etc. in EIA. This study focuses on application of geographic data using GIS in suitability analysis of alternative assessment. We use TIN, buffering, and overlaying in GIS functions.

A Study on the Application of GIS for Analysis of Subsidence Hazard (지반침하 피해도 분석을 위한 GIS 활용에 관한 연구)

  • Subsidence hazard has never been considered seriously until recent yews in Korea, although its socioeconomic impact on Korea becomes more and more enormous. There have been a few studies for the application of GIS analysis technique to the prediction of subsidence hazard. For GIS analysis, several factors, which are represented by coverage, are considered and selected for building a GIS model. Numerical method was used to quantify the importance of each factor in GIS model and the result from numerical modeling using FLAC was compared with that from previous research based on empirical methods. Analysis in 3-D needs more computer resources (i.e. memory). Therefore that in 2.5-D was considered to overcome the problem. Not only maximum vertical subsidence but also maximum horizontal strain and maximum slope have been considered for the assessment of subsidence hazard. The model can be easily modified for the purpose of applications in any subsidence area, especially cavern or abandoned mines under thick soil layer.

  • In this paper, we preset a method for the development of u-GIS outdoor augmented reality(AR) system. The proposed system is consist of three parts. First, sensor acquisition and calibration for AR, Second, camera and sensor based tracking for AR, Third, integration of sensor information and 3D models. We combine spatial information of real and virtual spaces through u-GIS AR system.

  • This paper described some applications using Open GIS Component that was called MapBase. There were 4 applications : KSDI(Korea Spatial Data Infrastructure) funded by MOIC(Ministry of Information and Communication), National Plants Resource Management System supported by Korea Forest Service, 7-Underground Facilities Management System of Cheongju funded by MOCT(Ministry of Construction and Transportation), and National Disaster Management System supported by MOGAHA(Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs. Because they wanted to access heterogeneous spatial database, it was necessary to select MapBase as their base methodology. The main feature of MapBase was component S/W which provided the interoperability and reusability among GIS applications as well as non-GIS information system through common specification. In this paper, we showed some applications' architectures and functions to increase understanding MapBase. That would help you to make application using MapBase.

  • MediaGIS is a concept of tightly integrated multimedia with spatial information. VideoGIS is an example of MediaGIS focused on the interaction or interaction of video and spatial information. Our suggested GeoVideo, a new concept of VideoGIS has its key feature in interactiveness. In GeoVideo, the geographic tasks such as browsing, searching, querying, spatial analysis can be performed based on video itself. GeoVideo can have the meaning of paradigm shift from artificial, static, abstracted and graphical paradigm to natural, dynamic, real, and image-based paradigm. We discuss about the integration of video and geography and also suggest the GeoVideo system design. Several considerations on expanding the functionalities of GeoVideo are explained for the future works.

  • 유역의 수자원 분석을 위해서는 선정된 모형의 입력자료와 이를 바탕으로 추정된 매개변수의 결정이 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 수문모형의 입력자료인 유역의 시간자료와 공간자료를 구축하고 이를 대상유역의 기준자료로 선정하여 HyGIS(Hydrological Geographic Information System)의 시$\cdot$공간DB에 저장하였다. 또한 TOPMODEL을 HyGIS와 연계시킴으로서 저장된 DB로부터 모형 구동에 필요한 시$\cdot$공간자료를 손쉽게 사용할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였으며 이를 HyGIS-TOPMODEL이라고 한다. 연구결과 HyGIS-TOPMODEL은 HyGIS의 시$\cdot$공간DB를 이용하여 효과적으로 입력자료를 구성할 수 있었다. 또한 개발된 HyGIS-TOPMODEL을 시험유역에 적용한 결과 실측유량을 적절히 모의하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이에 따라 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 매개변수의 추정 및 이의 적용 또한 타당한 것으로 나타났다.

  • This paper describes the simulation study, conducted on the propagation characteristics of AE signal in the connection of GIS. In the high voltage and large power system, the equipment with SF$\sub$6/ gas insulation which consists of the component part enclosed in the compressed gas has less affected by the environment than with air insulation. When the breakdown in the electric installation occurs, it takes much time to repair them though. Therefore it is very important to diagnose the propagation characteristics of AE signal in the GIS. So, in this investigation, we make a plane model of 362 kV GIS and modal and harmonic analysis to observe the vibro-acoustic property. Through the result of the analysis, we can make a further understanding on the vibro-acoustic characteristics of AE singnal in the connection of GIS.

  • As the Internet users are growing, GIS researchers that would like to integrate various GIS informations have more interests for information searching technologies based on Web. But, even though these researches is growing a infinite possibility of utilizing the map, there are not yet providing more functionalized GIS services. This paper proposes a searching mechanism for the teacher information based on the SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) format transformed the SHP format. We also implement the home-page link function inserted Web-connection information of the specific locations that could connect specific school web site within SVG file. We also provide the services to interpret requested query with proposed scheme.
