인삼정의 추출 및 열처리 중 유리당의 함량변화 (Change in Sugar Composition of Ginseng Extract During Heat Treatment)

  • 인삼 추출농축액 제조용 생건삼 원료를 에탄올 농도별로 추출한 후 그 추출물들을 각각 보온온도 및 시간을 달리하여 유리당 조성변화를 조사하였다. 1. 생건삼 추출농축액중에는 유리당 함량이 13.82~26.29%이고 에톤올 농도가 높을수록 그 함량이 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 또 sucrose, glucose, xylose는 에탄올 농도가 높을수록 증가한 반면 maltose는 감소하였다. 2. 인삼정중의 sucrose, glucose, xylose 함량은 가열시간이 길거나 처리온도가 높을수록 그 함량은 가열시간이 길거나 처리온도가 높을수록 그 함량이 감소하였으냐 Xylose와 Fructose는 증가하였다.

인삼추출물이 Cyclophosphamide에 손상된 흰쥐 비장조직의 회복에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Panax gineseng on the Side Effects of Cyclophosphamide to the Spleen in the Rat)

  • This study were performed for the effects of Panax ginseng on the side effect of Cyclophosphamide to splenic tissue in the Rats. The experimental animals were divided into control group, test group by the way of the method treatment of the drug. Each group was sacrificed and stained in accordance with the schedule and observed under light microscope. The results of this study were as follows : 1. After the ginseng extract administration rat's weight and volume were similarly increased than normal and control group. 2. The decrease of the numbers of the splenic tissue after treatment of cyclophosphamide(CP) were recovered with prescription of the ginseng extract; the decrease of white pulp, red pulp, marginal zone were recovered. 3. Increased macrophage in red pulp of splenic tissue with administration of CP were disapeared after treatment of ginseng extract.

The Effect of Ginseng on Heart Contraction and Sarcoplasmic Reticulum Function(II) The Effect of Ginseng on $^{45}Ca^{2+}$ Uptake by Sarcoplasmic Reticulum Fragments of Rat Heart

  • It was reported from our laboratory that the rate of deterioration of the force of contraction was slower in heart from Panax ginseng extract treated rats. Present investigation was designed to elucidate the mechanism of the slow deterioration of contractility of ginseng treated hearts. Therefore, $^{45}Ca^{2+}$ Uptake by sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) isolated from ginseng treated rate and control rats was studied. Rate weighing 150-250g were administered orally with ginseng ethanol extract (100mg/kg) for 10 days. Cardiac SR was isolated by differential centrifugation and $^{45}Ca^{2+}$ uptake was assessed by the Millipore method. Freshly isolated SR from treated as well as control animals did not show any differences, but after incubation for 30 and 60 min at 37.deg.C, $^{45}Ca^{2+}$ uptake of control animal SR was found to be greatly depressed. The SR of treated animal possessed a greater degree of resistance to incubation. Thus it can be concluded that ginseng may have an ability to sustain the normal function of the heart by sustaining Ca accumulation by SR involved with the excitationcontraction coupling processes.
