  • Drone can be controlled by the method such as Bluetooth communication for close distance and can be controlled through network communication for long distance. Especially, the coordinate is set using GPS and drone is controlled using network communication and video communication when the activity range is long distance. However, the drone should be controlled by receiving control authority accordingly in response about it appropriately when the drone leaves the control area after arriving at the destination if there is a problem with network communication and video communication. So, this study proposes a method to control a drone with a simple mutually promised simple gesture and the drone can be controlled in the proposed method even if the drone leaves from the control authority in above situation. The reference posture was established for mutually promised simple gesture algorithm and automatically handed over the control authority of drone to a person who takes the reference posture when the drone recognizes it to implement this. And all the movements of the drone could be controlled by starting the beginning of all commands from the reference posture (The hovering posture of the drone). Lastly, the control authority of the drone should be returned after achieving the purpose, and the algorithm was implemented to make the drone can perform next action of its own, and it was confirmed that the drone was operating normally by the mapped instruction.

  • This work presents a design and control method for a flexible robot arm operated by a wire drive that follows human gestures. When moving the robot arm to a desired position, the necessary wire moving length is calculated and the motors are rotated accordingly to the length. A robotic arm is composed of a total of two module-formed mechanism similar to real human motion. Two wires are used as a closed loop in one module, and universal joints are attached to each disk to create up, down, left, and right movements. In order to control the motor, the anti-windup PID was applied to limit the sudden change usually caused by accumulated error in the integral control term. In addition, master/slave communication protocol and operation program for linking 6 motors to MYO sensor and IMU sensor output were developed at the same time. This makes it possible to receive the image information of the camera attached to the robot arm and simultaneously send the control command to the robot at high speed.

  • This paper discusses a skeleton feature extraction method for ubiquitous robot system. The skeleton features are used to analyze human motion and pose estimation. In different conventional feature extraction environment, the ubiquitous robot system requires more robust feature extraction method because it has internal vibration and low image quality. The new hybrid silhouette extraction method and adaptive skeleton model are proposed to overcome this constrained environment. The skin color is used to extract more sophisticated feature points. Finally, the experimental results show the superiority of the proposed method.

  • Today multimedia technologies are playing an increasingly important role in games, movies, and live performances. In this paper, we design a flexible interactive system integrated with gesture recognition, skeleton tracking, internet communication, and content edition using multi-sensors to direct and control the performance on stage. In this system, the performer can control the elements showed on stage through corresponding gestures and body movements during the performance. The system provides an easier way for users to change the content of the performance if they intent to do.

  • Human motion analysis is researched as a new method for human-robot interaction (HRI) because it concerns with the key techniques of HRI such as motion tracking and pose recognition. To analysis human motion, extracting features of human body from sequential images plays an important role. After finding the silhouette of human body from the sequential images obtained by CCD color camera, the skeleton model is frequently used in order to represent the human motion. In this paper, using the silhouette of human body, we propose the feature extraction method based on hybrid skeleton for detecting human motion. Finally, we show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through some experiments.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the existing control methods of the legacy wearable-based CE devices and identified the requirements for improvements. In the conventional system, users waste their time configuring the initial network and registering their devices with the management server. To overcome these hurdles, we implemented the Easy-Setup framework for smart phones to personalized cloud devices.

  • Technologies that are considered to be a part of the fourth industrial revolution include holograms, augmented reality, and virtual reality. As technology advances, the industry's scale is growing quickly as well. While the development of technology for direct use is moving slowly, awareness of floating holograms-which are considered realistic content-is growing as the industry's scale and rate of technological advancement continue to accelerate. Specifically, holograms that have been incorporated into museums and exhibition spaces are static forms of content that viewers gaze at inertly. Additionally, their use in educational fields is very passive and has a low rate of utilization. Therefore, in order to improve usability from the viewpoint of viewers of realistic content, such as exhibition halls or museums, we introduce realistic content control technology in this study using a machine learning framework to recognize hands. It is anticipated that using the study's findings, manipulating realistic content independently will enhance comprehension of objects presented as realistic content and boost its applicability in the industrial and educational domains.

  • This paper proposes a single control strategy to solve the problem of trans-media vehicle difficult control. The proposed control strategy is just to control the vehicle's air navigation, but not to control the underwater navigation. The hydrodynamic model of a vehicle when entering water obliquely at low speed has been founded to analyze the motion characteristics. Two methods have been used to simulate the vehicle entering water in the same condition: numerical simulation method and theoretical model solving method. And the results of the two methods can validate the hydrodynamic model founded in this paper. The entering water motion in the conditions of different velocity, different angle, and different attack angle has been simulated by this hydrodynamic model and the simulation has been analyzed. And the change rule of the vehicle's gestures and position when entering water has been obtained by analysis. This entering water rule will guide the follow-up of a series of research, such as the underwater navigation, the exiting water process and so on.
