양산단층 중남부 구간의 지형 발달과 단층 운동 (I): 제4기 지형의 발달 특성 및 분포 (Geomorphological Development and Fault Activity of the Central-Southern Yangsan Fault (I): Developmental Characteristics and Distribution of the Quaternary Landforms)

  • Geomorphological development and distribution at the macro scale provide a clue to the geotectonic characteristics that have affected the geomorphological system. This is because the developmental characteristics and distribution of the landform at the macro scale remain spatial characteristics due to tectonic processes, such as fault activity. From the perspective of tectonic geomorphology, this study identified the developmental characteristics and distribution of the Quaternary landforms in central-southern Yangsan fault and discussed its relevance to fault activity. In this paper, we presented examples and results of morphotectonic analysis of the Yangsan fault, and will present the results of age dating, stratigraphic relationship of the Quaternary landforms, and calculation of cumulative slip rate in the next paper.

MGIS를 이용한 광양만의 지형변화 분석 (Geomorphologic Changes in Gwangyang Bay Using Marine Geographic Information System)

  • This study discusses the spatiotemporal characteristics of the geomorphological changes in Gwangyang Bay. In this study, we analyzed four aerial photos and nautical charts. The geomorphological changes that have occurred over time were identified using an MGIS (Marine geographic information system) overlay analysis. As a result, we were able to identify the geomorphological changes that have resulted from the coastal development and fairway dredging of Gwangyang Bay. This paper demonstrates that the marine geographic information system can be effective in monitoring the geomorphological changes in coastal zones.

산악지역을 위한 한국형 지형수문단위도 개발 (Development of Korean Geomorphological Unit Hydrograph for Mountain Basins)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국 산악유역에서의 지형 상사를 규명하여 보고, 이를 이용하여 한국형 지형수문단위도를 유도하고 검증하는 데 있다. 실제로 실무에서는 홍수분석을 위하여 가장 일반적으로 단위도법이 사용되어 왔으나, 한국 유역에의 적합성, 조절 매개변수 산정의 불확실성 등에 있어서 많은 어려운 점을 내포하고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 한국의 40여개의 산악 소유역의 지형자료를 수집하고 분석하여 다양한 한국 지형상사를 규명하여 보았다. 다음에는 기존의 지형수문곡선 이론에 이를 적용하여 한국형 지형수문단위도 기법을 개발하고 검증하여 보았다. 개발된 공식은 각각 한국형 지형형태학적 순간단위도, 한국형 지형형태-기후학적 순간단위도, 그리고 한국형 지형형태-기후학적 단위도로 구분할 수 있다. 이들 기법은 한국형 단위도법, 강우-유출 관계의 비선형성, 기상자료의 사용, 그리고 적용의 간편성 등의 장점을 가지고 있으며, 앞으로 한국 산악 미계측 유역의 홍수 분석을 위하여 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

대구 혁신도시 개발예정지의 지형자원 조사 (Survey of Geomorphological Resources of 'Daegu Innovation Town' Development Plan Area)

  • 본 보고서는 도시개발에 따른 지형변화를 비교 분석하기 위하여, 팔공산지 등단의 산록에 위치한 대구 혁신도시 개발예정지의 지형자원의 분포를 조사한 것이다. 조사 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 배후산지의 소규모 하곡 전면에는 소규모 선상지들이 분포하며, 하곡 측면에는 배후의 산지로부터 이어지는 구릉지가 분포한다. 둘째, 소규모 하곡이 구릉지를 측방침식 한 경우에는 수직의 하식애와 평탄한 기반암 하상이 잘 드러나며, 셰일 하상에는 건열과 연흔 화석이 나타나기도 한다. 일부 하곡에서는 절리를 따라 암괴가 제거되어 감입곡류가 형성되는 과정을 보여주기도 한다. 셋째, 신서지구의 선상지는 약 7m의 층후를 보인다. 선상지를 관류하는 신서천 하곡 내에는 2m 내외의 하안단구가 형성되어 있다. 이 하안단구는 후빙기 선상지가 개석되는 과정에서 형성된 것으로, 하안단구 형성과정의 새로운 가능성을 제시해 준다.

동래 단층 중부 지역 웅촌-웅상 일대의 단층 지형과 지형 발달 (Fault-related Landforms and Geomorphological Processes Around Ungchon-Ungsang Areas in the Middle Part of the Dongrae Fault)

  • This study analyzed the distribution of fluvial landforms, fault-related geomorphic features and lineaments around the area of Ungchon-Ungsang in the Dongrae Fault, and discusses the charateristics of geomorphic development based on those. As a result, the NE-SW lineaments are predominantly developed in many numbers within the study area, and the NW-SE or N-S secondary lineaments are developed induced by multiple deformation with the Yangsan Fault. Geomorphologically, the early tectonic history of the Ungchon-Ungsang basin is largely divided into three stages ; 1) the Tertiary fault activity and formation of fracture zone, 2) development of erosional basin, 3) local crustal movements and development of fault-related topography. It is assumed that alluvial fans, deflected channel and stream piracy were formed by local tectonic movements related to faultings during the Quaternary.

부여 능산리 충적평야 퇴적상과 지형발달 (Sedimentary Facies and Geomorphological Development of Alluvial Plain at Neungsan-ri, Buyeo, Korea)

  • 부여 능산리 왕포천 유역 충적평야에서 지형면 분류, 퇴적상분석, 연대측정 등을 행하여 충적평야의 지형발달을 밝히고 식생환경과 농경활동에 대해 고찰하였다. 왕포천 충적평야는 홀로세 해면상승과 함께 대하천인 금강의 영향을 크게 받아 형성되었으며, 자연제방, 배후습지성 범람원, 곡저평야, 구릉지로 구성되어 있다. 왕포천이 금강에 합류하는 곳에 금강의 자연제방이 폭넓게 나타나고, 중, 하류부 충적평야는 금강의 배후습지가 된다. 또한 왕포천 연안이 배후지역보다 조립질 함량이 높고 토탄층이 얇았다. 왕포천 충적층의 가장 하부 모래층은 해면하강기에 청동기인의 영향을 받아 퇴적되었고, 초기철기시대의 해면상승기에 왕포천의 수위가 높아지면서 토탄층이 형성되었다.

A study on geomorphological sketch of middle part of Korea

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the geomorphological characteristics of middle part of Korea. The purpose of this study is to clarify the fault structures in the Chukaryong Rift Valley. The Rift Valley has very significant meaning to interprete the development of Korean structural landforms. But till now the mechanism and processes of the formation of the Rift Valley are not clearly proved IMAGEM is very useful in this study. IMAGEM is developed by the Electromagnetic Instrument, Inc. and it covers $0.001{\sim}20,000Hz.$ Form the field survey data, it is certain that the faulted structures exist in the two points of the Rift Valley. But the Rift Valley is too long and braod to check the an evidences of the faulted structures.

한국 남동해안 감포 연대산 지역 해안단구 상고위면과 고고위면 지형발달 (The Geomorphological Development of Marine Terraces UHS (upper higher surface) and HHS (high higher surface) around Yeondae-san, Gampo-Eup, Southeastern Coast of Korea)

  • In this study, the distribution and topographic development of marine terraces, UHS (Upper Higher Surface) and HHS (High Higher Surface) at Yeondae-san area, Gampo-eup were discussed. We critically examined on the substance of the Yeongdong-myeon (a low-lying erosion surface) in the east coast of Korea. In study area, UHS including UHS-246m, UHS-241m, UHS-235m, UHS-220m, UHS-210m and UHS-220 is found on the highest altitude among the marine terraces in Korea. The existence of UHS requires new interpretation on topographical surface like Yeongdong-myeon, which has been commonly accepted as a theory in the society of Korean Geography. Since UHS is distributed continuously ascending on the altitude of HHS, the period of formation should be understood in the same context. And UHS of paleo-shoreline 246m has been estimated to be formed about 1.5 million years ago.

우리나라 해안사구의 현황과 사회·경제적 특성 고찰 (Study on the Status and Socio-Economic Characteristics of Coastal Sand Dune in South Korea)

  • Coastal dunes have many environmental and ecological socio-economic importances; various human activities, however, have impaired their structures and functions over the years. In 2016, environmental survey on coastal sand dune was carried out to report the present status and update the coastal sand dune list in 2001. This research analyzed the survey data in terms of geomorphological and socio-economic aspects. A list of the 189 coastal sand dune and information was updated by province. A 36.5% reduction in coastal sand dune area have been identified for using agricultural land, development area since the approximately 1940-50s. Development area in coastal sand dune covered small area as 5%, the use intensity was relatively hard. Furthermore, the difference by province also showed. Approximately 80% of the development area was concentrated in 20% of total sand dune several sand dune. It is generally accepted that coastal sand dunes were exposed high development pressure. However the result means that the general brief dose not apply for all sand dune. Therefore, characteristics of each sand dune should be analyzed and concerned the diverse management plans.

충남 연안의 경관생태적 지역발전 전략 (Landscape Ecological Approach and the Strategies of Regional Development on South Chung-Chong Coastal Environment)

  • This article is written in the viewpoint of landscape ecological geography. The coast of South Chung-chong Province will make new characters of region in the development strategies program. This study is to describe geomorphological landscapes of South Chung-chong Province relating with it's environment based on the coast. Although landforms constitute prominent landscape features as tidal flats and rock cliff do, it is nonetheless the features such as beaches, sanddunes, and coastal plains that have various ramifications for human communities. Tidal flats, beaches and coastal sanddunes are special in that their formation is attributable to the combined action of tidal flows, waves and winds. To some extent, the erosion of sand has been a global phenomenon. Human impact are involved. The influence of globalization and expansion of liberal trade appears in regions variously. Individual regions need to secure its competitiveness in the world market. Regions are not value-neutral abstract conception, but must be informal commercialized characters of region. The coast of South Chung-chong Province has experienced rapid and dramatic changes. In industrial times, the middle of west coast Korea turned into a major reclamation at larger scale. Reclaimed land was based on location of industry and mechanized agriculture. The west coast highway and bridges between island and land contributed to the development of west coast transportation. As information society matured, trend and value are changing. Environment and ecology emphasize and rediscover the value of tidal flats and sanddunes. The west coast region now receives attention as eco-tour and sustainable course.
