Recently we have discovered that sediments should be separated from lithosphere, and soil should be separated from biosphere, both sediment and soil will be mixed sediments-soil-sphere (Seso-sphere), which is using particulate mechanics to be solved. Erosion and sediment both are moving by particulate matter with water or wind. But ancient sediments will be erosion same to soil. Nowadays, real soil has already reduced much more. Many places have only remained sediments that have ploughed artificial farming layer. Thus it means sediments-soil-sphere. This paper discusses sediments-soil-sphere erosion modeling. In fact sediments-soil-sphere erosion is including water erosion, wind erosion, melt-water erosion, gravitational water erosion, and mixed erosion. We have established geographical remote sensing information modeling (RSIM) for different erosion that was using remote sensing digital images with geographical ground truth water stations and meteorological observatories data by remote sensing digital images processing and geographical information system (GIS). All of those RSIM will be a geographical multidimensional gray non-linear equation using mathematics equation (non-dimension analysis) and mathematics statistics. The mixed erosion equation is more complex that is a geographical polynomial gray non-linear equation that must use time-space fuzzy condition equations to be solved. RSIM is digital image modeling that has separated physical factors and geographical parameters. There are a lot of geographical analogous criterions that are non-dimensional factor groups. The geographical RSIM could be automatic to change them analogous criterions to be fixed difference scale maps. For example, if smaller scale maps (1:1000 000) that then will be one or two analogous criterions and if larger scale map (1:10 000) that then will be four or five analogous criterions. And the geographical parameters that are including coefficient and indexes will change too with images. The geographical RSIM has higher precision more than mathematics modeling even mathematical equation or mathematical statistics modeling.

This study is to consider the geographical images of Nakdong River region represented in the Modern Poetry. The findings are as follows. First, the change aspect of the poetry around Nakdong River area shows the social phenomenon of population movement, economic deprivation symptoms, the Korean War, economic development plans, the industrialization and spatial inequalities, environmental problems and environmental poetry, and various environmental issues, etc. Second, the poetry about Nakdong River can be classified by geographical area, showing a humanistic geographical image of the sense of place, natural geographical images about geomorphology and climate, and regional development and environmental pollution. Finally, the large number of poetry describes the beautiful terrain and the sense of place of poet, among ones targeting the upsteam of Nakdong River. The one in middle and downstream areas, however, reflected the reality and was social criticism mostly. This is because that, compares to the upstream, many large cities are distributed in the downstream area and the river becomes increasingly contaminated as it flows to the downstream.
Purpose: This study aims to propose a method for fast geographical origin discrimination between domestic and imported rice using a visible/near-infrared (VNIR) hyperspectral imaging technique. Methods: Hyperspectral reflectance images of South Korean and Chinese rice samples were obtained in the range of 400 nm to 1000 nm. Partial least square discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) models were developed and applied to the acquired images to determine the geographical origin of the rice samples. Results: The optimal pixel dimensions and spectral pretreatment conditions for the hyperspectral images were identified to improve the discrimination accuracy. The results revealed that the highest accuracy was achieved when the hyperspectral image's pixel dimension was $3.0mm{\times}3.0mm$. Furthermore, the geographical origin discrimination models achieved a discrimination accuracy of over 99.99% upon application of a first-order derivative, second-order derivative, maximum normalization, or baseline pretreatment. Conclusions: The results demonstrated that the VNIR hyperspectral imaging technique can be used to discriminate geographical origins of rice.
Airborne imagery must be precisely orthorectified to be used as geographical information data. GPS/INS (Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System) and LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging) data were employed to automatically orthorectify airborne images. In this study, 154 frame airborne images and LIDAR vector data were acquired. LIDAR vector data were converted to raster image for employing as reference data. To derive images with constant brightness, flat field correction was applied to the whole images. The airborne images were geometrically corrected by calculating internal orientation and external orientation using GPS/INS data and then orthorectified using LIDAR digital elevation model image. The precision of orthorectified images was validated using 50 ground control points collected in arbitrary selected five images and LIDAR intensity image. In validation results, RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) was 0.365 smaller then two times of pixel spatial resolution at the surface. It is possible that the derived mosaicked airborne image by this automatic orthorectification method is employed as geographical information data.
It is not easy to identify a ground control point (GCP) or even locate its vicinity from a SAR image. Although simulated SAR images may be useful to interpret mountain areas, they are not useful in flat areas because they do not show ground coverage or key features such as rivers, lakes and roads. In this study, we developed a method to simulate SAR images integrating geographical features to DEM to facilitate to locate ground control features from SAR images.
An elliptical basis function (EBF) network is proposed in this study for the classification of remotely sensed images. Though similar in structure, the EBF network differs from the well-known radial basis function (RBF) network by incorporating full covariance matrices and uses the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm to estimate the basis functions. Since remotely sensed data often take on mixture -density distributions in the feature space, the proposed network not only possesses the advantage of the RBF mechanism but also utilizes the EM algorithm to compute the maximum likelihood estimates of the mean vectors and covariance matrices of a Gaussian mixture distribution in the training phase. Experimental results show that the EM-based EBF network is faster in training, more accurate, and simpler in structure.
As to many conventional segmentation approaches , spatial autocorrelation, perhaps being the first law of geography, is always overlooked. Thus, the corresponding segmentation results are always not so satisfying, which will further affect the subsequent image processing or analyses. In order to improve segmentation results, a geostatistic based segmentation approach with the consideration of spatial autocorrelation hidden in remote-sensing images is proposed in this article. First, by calculating the mean variance between each pair of pixels at given different lag distances, information like the size of typical targets in the scene can be obtained, and segmentation thresholds are calculated accordingly. Second, an initial region growing segmentation approach is implemented. Finally, based on the segmentation thresholds obtained at the first step and the initial segmentation results, the final segmentation results are obtained using the same region growing approach by taking the local mutual best fitting strategy. From the experiment results, we found the approach is rather promising. However, there still exists some problems to be settled, and further researches should be conducted in the future.
There is a growing demand on remotely sensed and GIS data services in modern society. However, conventional WEB applications based on client/server pattern can not meet the criteria in the future . Grid computing provides a promising resolution for establishing spatial information system toward future applications. Here, a new architecture of the distributed environment for remotely sensed data processing based on the middleware technology was proposed. In addition, in order to utilize the new environment, a problem had to be algorithmically expressed as comprising a set of concurrently executing sub-problems or tasks. Experiment of the algorithm was implemented, and the results show that the new environmental can achieve high speedups for applications compared with conventional implementation.

This study is aimed to reflect the current status survey, analysis and response of 10 railway stations using geographical names in one of 19 stations located on Gyeongbu, Honam and Chungbuk line. Most railway stations in the study have shown normal images that are close to the standard type by selecting similar building materials rather than reflecting geographical features. Aside from the shape of the traditional Korean house in Cheongju, almost all newly constructed stations tend to incorporate light gray plating material on their modern exterior to produce Family look design as a railroad station. According to a survey of the sensitivity of the station's name, Osong Station was 73.6 percent, Gyeryong Station 67.3 percent, Heukseok-ri Station was 64.5 percent, Shintan-jin 62.6 percent, and Yeonsan Station 57 percent, more than half. Therefore, the results of the five stations were presented as a calculation and proposed design release focusing on the facades of each station. Each of these stations suggested a way to express the facade design image, considering the railway operation status of Korea Railroad, the area of the station and other surroundings.
