For a given ideal I of a Noetherian ring R and an arbitrary integer ${\kappa}{\geq}-1$, we apply the concept of ${\kappa}$-regular sequences and the notion of ${\kappa}$-depth to give some results on modules called ${\kappa}$-Cohen Macaulay modules, which in local case, is exactly the ${\kappa}$-modules (as a generalization of f-modules). Meanwhile, we give an expression of local cohomology with respect to any ${\kappa}$-regular sequence in I, in a particular case. We prove that the dimension of homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any ${\kappa}$-regular sequence is at most ${\kappa}$. Therefore homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any filter regular sequence has finite length.

In this paper, we investigate the topology of complex Finsler manifolds. For a complex Finsler manifold (M, F), we introduce a certain condition on the Finsler metric F on M. This is a generalization of Kahler condition for the Hermitian metric. Under this condition, we can produce a Kahler metric on M. This enables us to use the usual techniques in the Kahler and Riemannian geometry. We show that if the holomorphic sectional curvature of $ M is\geqC^2>0\; for\; some\; c>o,\; then\; diam(M)\leq\frac{\pi}{c}$ and hence M is compact. This is a generalization of the Bonnet\`s theorem in the Riemannian geometry.

The main objective of this paper is to show how one can obtain eleven new and interesting hypergeometric identities in the form of a single result from the old ones by mainly employing the known beta integral method which was recently introduced and used in a systematic manner by Krattenthaler and Rao [6]. The results are derived with the help of a generalization of a well-known hypergeometric transformation formula due to Kummer. Several identities including one obtained earlier by Krattenthaler and Rao [6] follow as special cases of our main results.

In very large databases, the problem of searching for interesting information effectively is very important in terms of efficiency and flexibility. A multiple layered database approach based on AOG(attribute-oriented generalization) method is one of the useful approaches for knowledge discovery under various situations. In this paper, we propose a multiple layered database design methodology based on AOG method in object-oriented databases. In addition, we propose a dynamic schema evolution model and implementation strategy in order to continue providing information effectively in multiple layered databases.

Price`s theorem is generalized for general zero memory nonlinear function when input are drawn from a sum, called the constrained non-Gaussian, of two or more mutually independent processes of which the first is the Gaussian. An example is given to illustrate the applicability of the generalization.

In [6] Schensted constructed the Schensted algorithm, which gives a bijection between permutations and pairs of standard tableaux of the same shape. Stanton and White [8] gave analog of the Schensted algorithm for rim hook tableaux. In this paper we give a generalization of Stanton and White's Schensted algorithm for rim hook tableaux. If k is a fixed positive integer, it shows a one-to-one correspondence between all generalized hook permutations $\mathcal{H}$ of size k and all pairs (P, Q), where P and Q are semistandard k-rim hook tableaux and k-rim hook tableaux of the same shape, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to investigate /l/-deletion in lC clusters which are composed of a lateral followed by consonants at syllable-final position in English. For this, I have analyzed /l/-deletion in words depending on conditions and theoretical analyses such as Sonority Sequencing Generalization, Cluster Simplification, Complex sounds and merger, and Feature Geometry, but they didn't offer a very satisfactory explanation to the phenomenon. Therefore, I adopted a historical approach in order to determine the cause and origin of /l/-deletion in lC clusters, and then as a phonological analysis tool, I relied on the constraints and their ranking in Optimal Theory framework for explaining /l/-deletion in the clusters more consistently. As a result, I can explain the phenomenon more explicitly than from the above mentioned analyses.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and the value of the cultural collage expressed in men's fashion. As for the research methodology, literary research was under taken to study psychoanalytical and socioeconomic contexts in which cultural collage has been formed. In addition, demonstrative studies in men's fashion were undertaken through the analysis of pictures. The cultural collage is defined as a phenomena of making creativity by combining cultures which have no relevance. In psychological and sociological aspects, the rise of the cultural collage is caused by multinational corporation, pluralization of identity, information society, consumer oriented production, consumer society and inundation of kitsch. On the basis of the characteristics and social backgrounds of cultural collage, the aesthetic values of men's fashion can be explained by pluralism de-generalization and relativity.

Recent progress on software engineering especially in object-oriented design concepts has enabled the development of the simulation models of satellite components in view of reliability and reusability. This paper proposes an useful satellite simulator framework using simulation service and generalized model design. The proposed method is verified by a prototyping in .NET/C# environment.

In this article, we present the Stancu generalization of (p, q)-$Sz{\acute{a}}sz$-Mirakyan Kantorovich type linear positive operators. Using Korovkin's result, approximation properties are investigated. First, we evaluate moments and direct results. By choosing p and q, the convergence rate have been estimated for better approximation. For the particular case ${\alpha}=0$, ${\beta}=0$ we obtain results for (p, q)-$Sz{\acute{a}}sz$-Mirakyan Kantorovich type operators.
