운전 조건을 고려한 승용차용 요소첨가 선택적 촉매환원장치의 내부 유동 해석에 관한 연구 (Internal Flow Analysis of Urea-SCR System for Passenger Cars Considering Actual Driving Conditions)

  • 디젤 차량의 유해배출가스인 질소산화물 저감을 위해서는 정화성능이 우수한 요소첨가 선택적 촉매환원장치가 장착되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 3차원 오일러리안-라그랑지안 전산유체해석을 통해 요소첨가 선택적 촉매환원장치의 수송현상에 따른 화학반응과 다상유동 특성을 수치적으로 예측한다. 이때, 수치적인 분무형상은 가시화실험에서 측정된 분사속도, 분무관통길이, 분무반경, 평균액적지름과 비교를 통해 보정되었다. 그리고 해석 결과는 실제 엔진 및 차량 시험에서 측정한 질소산화물 저감효율과 비교를 통해 검증되었으며, 상대오차 5% 이하의 정확도를 보여준다. 검증된 전산모델은 요소첨가 선택적 촉매환원장치의 내부유동해석에 사용되었으며, 이를 통해 압력강하와 속도증가 특성을 분석하고, 암모니아의 농도균일도와 과잉분포 위치를 예측한다.

  • 발전용 가스터빈에 사용되는 이중 콘형 예혼합 연소기의 성능 개선 및 검증을 위하여 기존 노즐에서 연료 분사 특성을 개선한 노즐(분사구 직경 증가, 분사구 수 감소, 총 분사면적 유지)을 이용하여 고압 및 다중화염 조건에서 실험 연구를 수행하였으며 배기가스 특성을 기존 노즐과 비교하였다. 실험 결과로는 노즐의 연료 직경을 크게 한 경우 연소용 공기로 연료의 침투 거리가 증가하기 때문에 콘 내부에서 연료와 공기의 혼합특성이 개선되어 상압뿐만 아니라 압력 상승 시 NOx 배출 농도는 감소하며 다중 화염의 경우 화염간 연소영역의 중첩이 감소하게 되어 NOx 배출은 감소하지만 화염 안정성은 저하된다. 연료 분사구를 개선한 노즐의 발전 플랜트 실증 결과는 실험 결과와 같이 기존 노즐에 비하여 NOx 농도가 낮게 배출되었다.

소형 4행정사이클 무과급 디이젤 기관의 성능 시뮤레이션 전산프로그램의 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of simulation program for the small naturally aspirated four-stroke diesel engine)

  • Since 1973, the competition on the development of fuel saving type internal combustion engines has become severe by the two times oil shock, and new type engines are reported every several months. Whenever these new type engines are developed, new designs are required and they will be offered in the market after performing the endurance test for a long time. But the engine market is faced with a heavy burden of finance, as the developing of a new engine requires tremendous expenses. For this reason, the computer simulation method has been lately developed to cope with it. The computer simulation method can be available to perform the reasonable research works by the theoretical analysis before carrying out practical experiments. With these processes, the developing expenses are cut down and the period of development is curtailed. The object of this study is the development of simulation computer program for the small naturally aspirated four-stroke diesel engine which is intended to product by the original design of our country. The process of simulation is firstly investigated for the ideal engine cycle, and secondly for the real engine cycle. In the ideal engine cycle, each step of the cycle is simulated by the energy balance according to the first law of thermodynamics, and then the engine performance is calculated. In the real cycle imulation program, the injection rate, the preparation rate and the combustion rate of fuel and the heat transfer through the wall of combustion chamber are considered. In this case, the injection rate is supposed as constant through the crank angle interval of injection and the combustion rate is calculated by the Whitehouse-Way equation and the heat transfer is calculated by the Annand's equation. The simulated values are compared with measured values of the YANMAR NS90(C) engine and Mitsubishi 4D30 engine, and the following conclusions are drawn. 1. The heat loss by the exhaust gas is well agree with each other in the lower load, but the measured value is greater than the calculated value in the higher load. The maximum error rate is about 15% in the full load. 2. The calculated quantity of heat transfer to the cooling water is greater than the measured value. The maximum error rate is about 11.8%. 3. The mean effective pressure, the fuel consumption, the power and the torque are well agree with each other. The maximum error is occurred in the fuel consumption, and its error rate is about 7%. From the above remarks, it may be concluded that the prediction of the engine performance is possibly by using the developed program, although the program needs to reform by adding the simulation of intake and exhaust process and assumping more reliable mechanical efficiency, volumetric efficiency, preparation rate and combustion rate.

선박추진용 기계적 캠 구동식 및 전자제어식 연료분사 시스템을 가진 저속 2행정 디젤엔진의 배기특성 비교 (Comparison of emission characteristics between fuel injection systems with echanical cam and electric control type on low speed 2 stroke diesel engine for ship propulsion)

  • 선박운항의 경제성, 효율성 및 편리성을 높이면서 친환경적인 선박에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 추진되고 있는데, 그 중 한 예로 전자제어식 디젤엔진의 개발을 들 수 있다. 그러나 전자제어식 엔진으로 추진되는 선박은 안전성과 신뢰성이 우려되고 있어 이들을 선박에 널리 보급하는데 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 전자제어식과 캠구동식 연료분사시스템을 탑재하고 있는 선박의 주기관을 이용하여 시스템별 배기성능을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 전자제어식의 경제적 운항 모드에서는 캠구동식과 비슷한 배기특성을 나타내었지만, 유해가스 저배출 모드의 100% 부하상태에서는 NOx를 100ppm 이상, HC의 경우 50% 부하상태에서는 10~20ppm을, 25% 부하상태에서는 35~40ppm을 캠구동식에 비해 저감시킨다. 연료소비율에 있어서는 25% 부하상태에서 압축압력을 캠 구동식에 비해 200bar 이상 증가시킨 700bar로 유지할 때 7g/kWh 정도 저감되었다.

Development of Hard-wired Instrumentation and Control for the Neutral Beam Test Facility at KAERI

  • Since the start of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) project, Instrumentation and Control (I&C) of the Neutral Beam Test Facility (NB-TF) has been striving to answer diverse requests arising from various facets during the project's development and construction phases. Hard-wired electrical circuits have been designed, tested, fabricated, and finally installed to the relevant parts of the system. In relation to the vacuum system I&C, controlling functions for the rotary pumps, a Roots pump, two turbomolecular pumps, and four cryosorption pumps have been constructed. I&C for the ion source operation are the temperature and flow rate signal monitoring, Langmuir probe signal measurements, gradient grid current measurements, and arc detector circuit. For the huge power system to be monitored or safely operated, many temperature measurement functions have also been implemented for the beam line components like the neutralizer, bending magnet, ion dump, and calorimeter. Nearly all of the control and probe signals between the NB test stand and the control room were made to be transmitted through the optical cables. Failures of coolant flow or beam line vacuum pressure were made to be safely blocked from influencing the system by an appropriate interlock circuit that will shut down the extraction voltage application to the system or prevent damages to the vacuum components. Preliminary estimation of the beam power through the calorimetric measurement shows that 87.9% of the total power of the 60kV/18A beam with 200 seconds duration is absorbed by the calorimeter surface. Most of these I&C results would be highly appropriate for the construction of the main NBI facility for the KSTAR national fusion research project.

Laser CVD SiN막의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of Laser CVD Silicon Nitride Film)

  • Silicon nitride film was deposited on a silicon wafer using a laser CVD(LCVD) technique, which is based on direct photolysis of $SiH_4/NH_3$ gas mixture by ArF laser beam(${\lambda}=193\;nm$). The refractive index of deposited SiN film is 1.9 at the temperature of $300^{\circ}C$, pressure of 5 torr. The breakdown field strength of LCVD SiN film was 10MV/cm. In IR spectrum, the absorption peak of Si-H, N-H, and Si-N is detected and it is shown that hydrogen is included in SiN film. From analysis of absorption band. it is calculated that density of Si-H, N-H bond is higher than $5{\times}10^{22}cm^{-3}$. LCVD MIS capacitor and PECVD MIS capacitor have injection-type hysteresis but it is known that hysteresis loss of LCVD MIS capacitor is smaller than that of PECVD MIS capacitor. It means that Interface state density of LCVD capacitor is smaller than that of PECVD capacitor. In addition, the flatband voltage($V_{FB}$) of LCVD is smaller than that of PECVD capacitor. And it means that fixed charged density($Q_{FIX}$) of LCVD capacitor is smaller than that of PECVD MIS capacitor.

4실린더 커먼레일 디젤엔진에서 바이오디젤 혼합연료와 EGR율에 따른 연소 및 배기특성 (Combustion and Emission Characteristics of Biodiesel Blended Fuel by EGR Rate in a 4-cylinder CRDI Diesel Engine)

  • This study describes the effect of EGR rate on the combustion and emissions characteristics of a four cylinder CRDI diesel engine using biodiesel (soybean oil) blended diesel fuel. The test fuel is composed of 30% biodiesel and 70% ULSD (ultra low sulfur diesel) by volumetric ratio. The experiment of engine emissions and performance characteristics were performed under the various EGR rates. The experimental results showed that ignition delay was extended, the maximum combustion pressure and heat release gradually were decreased with increasing EGR rate. Comparing biodiesel blended fuel to ULSD, the injection quantity of biodiesel blended fuel was further increased than ULSD. The emission results showed that $NO_x$ emission of biodiesel blended fuel becomes higher according to the increase of EGR rate. However, in the case of biodiesel blended fuel, HC, CO and soot emissions were decreased compared to ULSD.

2층 질하막 MNOS구조의 비휘발성 기억특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the nonvolatile memory characteristics of MNOS structures with double nitride layer)

  • The double nitride layer Metal Nitride Oxide Semiconductor(MNOS) structures were fabricated by variating both gas ratio and nitride thickness, and by duplicating nitride deposited and one nitride layer MNOS structure to improve nonvolatile memory characteristics of MNOS structures by Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition(LPCVD) method. The nonvolatile memory characteristics of write-in, erase, memory retention and degradation of Bias Temperature Stress(BTS) were investigated by the homemade automatic .DELTA. $V_{FB}$ measuring system. In the trap density double nitride layer structures were higher by 0.85*10$^{16}$ $m^{-2}$ than one nitride layer structure, and the AVFB with oxide field was linearly increased. However, one nitride layer structure was linearly increased and saturated above 9.07*10$^{8}$ V/m in oxide field. In the erase behavior, the hole injection from silicon instead of the trapped electron emission was observed, and also it was highly dependent upon the pulse amplitude and the pulse width. In the memory retentivity, double nitrite layer structures were superior to one nitride layer structure, and the decay rate of the trapped electron with increasing temperature was low. At increasing the number on BTS, the variance of AVFB of the double nitride layer structures was smaller than that of one nitride layer structure, and the trapped electron retention rate was high. In this paper, the double nitride layer structures were turned out to be useful in improving the nonvolatile memory characteristics.

팩시밀리용 비정질 실리콘 광도전막의 제작 및 특성 (Fabrication and Characteristics of Photoconductive Amorphous Silicon Film for Facsimile)

  • 밀착형 1차원 영상감지소자로서 팩시밀리에 사용될 광도전막을 사일랜듸 글로방전 분해법으로 제작하였다. 우선 rf전력, 사일랜유량, 분위기 가스압, $H_2/SiH_4$비 및 기판온도의 증착조건에 따른 단층광전도막의 전기적 및 광학적특성을 조사하였다. 이 단층구조 영상감지막은 광전감도 0.85와 100lux 조도하에서 $I_{ph}/I_d=100$을 나타내었다. 그러나 이러한 단층박막은 양 전극으로 부터의 캐리어주입으로 인해 큰 암전류도 0.2nA 이하를 나타내었다. 또한 다층막은 단층막에 비해 단파장 가시광영역이 보상되어 팩시밀리용 1차원 영상감지소자에 사용될 만한 결과를 나타내었다.

주류유동에서 단일 및 이중 수직분사 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of Single and Double Liquid Jets in Crossflow)

  • 연소실 내의 주류 공기유동에 미치는 영향을 최소화하면서 미립화 및 혼합특성을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로 주류공기 유동에 대해 수직방향의 연료분사 방식이 실용 엔진에서 많이 사용되고 있고, 관련 연구도 활발히 보고되고 있다. 본 연구는 가스터빈이나 램젯 엔진에서 사용되고 있는 수직분사의 분무특성은 실험적으로 조사하고, 단일 및 이중 수직분사에 따른 침투길이를 측정함으로써 선행연구에 의해 보고된 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 압력과 모멘텀 플럭스비 변화에 따른 침투길이, 분무입경 등의 분무 특성을 연구하였다. 특히, 이중 수직분사의 침투길이는 단일 수직분사의 침투길이에 비해 전단의 수직분사의 영향으로 후단의 수직분사 길이가 약 20% ($L_h$=4mm) 증가함을 확인할 수 있었다.
