유/무기 하이브리드 코팅액에 의한 냉간압연강판의 내식특성 (Improving the Corrosion Resistance of Cold-Rolled Carbon Steel by Treatment with a Hybrid Organic/Inorganic Coating Solution)

  • 종래 아연의 부식 속도를 줄이는 가장 일반적인 방법은 $Cr^{+6}$를 도포하여 화학적으로 개조하는 것이었다. 그러나 $Cr^{+6}$는 현재 환경 보호법 때문에 사용이 제한되어 있다. 따라서 자자들은 Si를 가지는 유/무기 용액에 대한 아연도금강판의 최적 조건을 연구하였다. 최적 내식성은 $190^{\circ}C$에서 5분간 열처리한 조건으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 내식성 평가를 위하여 우레탄 용액(Urethane 20 wt.% ; S-700), Si를 가지는 유/무기 용액(Si polysilicate 10 wt.% + Urethane 10 wt.% LR-0317) 및 Si와 Ti를 가지는 2종류의 유/무기 용액(Si polysilicate 7 wt.% + Urethane 13 wt.% + Ti amorphous 0.5 wt.% ; LR-0727(1), Si polysilicate 7 wt.% + Urethane 7 wt.% + Ti amorphous 0.5 wt.% + epoxy 6wt.% ; LR-0727(2))을 사용하였다. 내식성 평가는 냉간압연 강판을 사용하여 염수분무 시험으로 실시하였다. 7시간의 염수 분무 시험에서 LR-0727(1)과 LR-0727(2) 용액이 냉간 압연 강판에 대하여 우수한 내식성을 나타내었다.

Regional Cathodic Protection Design of a Natural Gas Distribution Station

  • Regional cathodic protection has significant impact on pipeline integrity management. After risk analyses of a newly built gas distribution station constructed in an area with large dwelling density, risk score was high because of potential threat caused by galvanic corrosion. Except reinforced steel in concrete, there are four kinds of metal buried under earth: carbon steel, galvanized flat steel, zinc rod and graphite module. To protect buried pipeline from external corrosion, design and construction of regional cathodic protection was proposed. Current density was measured with potential using potential dynamic test and boundary element method (BEM) was used to calculate current requirement and optimize best anode placement during design. From our calculation on the potential, optimized conditions for this area were that an applied current was 3A and anode was placed at 40 meters deep from the soil surface. It results in potential range between $-1.128V_{CSE}$ and $-0.863V_{CSE}$, meeting the $-0.85V_{CSE}$ criterion and the $-1.2V_{CSE}$ criterion that no potential was more negative than $-1.2V_{CSE}$ to cause hydrogen evolution at defects in coating of the pipeline.

서해대교 시공 공법 소개 (Construction Method of Seohae Grand Bridge)

  • Since 1993, Seohae grand bridge has been continued construction for 7 years and will be completed late this year. The bridge is a part of west sea castal highway and consists of 3 types of bridge including precast segmental method, free cantilever method and cable stayed bridge. A cable stayed bridge is the core of this bridge and it consists of 5 span, symetrical cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 990 m. The main span between two H-shaped pylons extending approximately 180 M above massive foundation of a cable stayed bridge is 470 m long and an approach span of that is 260 m long respectively. The circular cofferdam with 16 ea of 25 m diameter flat type sheet pile had been applied to construct foundation. The slipform method had been applied for forming of con'c of two H-shaped pylons with 3 cross beams respectively which is varied horizontally and vertically. The deck has been erected with balanced cantilever method using movable derrick crane. The stay cables is a bundle of parallel individually protected, 7 wire high tensile strands. The strands is hot deep galvanized and sheathed with a tight high density polyethylene coating. A petroleum wax fills all the inter-wire voids. The bundle of strands to prevent from deterioration due to the ambient problem covered with high density polyethylene pipe. The Isotension method has been applied for the stressing of cable strands to ensure uniformity of force in all the strands of a syay and such works has been performed on the stay specially provided in the pylon.

36개월간 국내 옥외폭로시험에 따른 갈바륨 강판의 대기부식거동 및 표면외관 변화 (Atmospheric Corrosion and Surface Appearance of Galvalume Steel following Outdoor Exposure for 36 Months: A Korean Study)

  • Galvalume steel (GL) is widely used in marine and industrial environments. It is characterized by better corrosion resistance than carbon steel. However, corrosion and economic losses may occur as the usage time is increased. Therefore, in this study, an outdoor exposure test of GL for 36 months was conducted across six regions of Korea. Parameters such as corrosion rate, chrominance (color, chroma, and brightness), glossiness, and surface appearance were analyzed. The results showed no significant change in appearance, and the initial corrosion rate was large, but a tendency to decrease with time was observed. Increased outdoor exposure time led to increase in the level of corrosion products. In the case of coastal areas where S, Cl, and other elements were detected, a relatively high decrease in Zn content was observed. Al forms a protective oxide film and exists in the coating layer, but Zn dissolves due to its chemical activity and low potential.

  • 韓國煙草硏究所, 大邱試驗場(北緯35$^{\circ}$49')에서 1979年 透明한 fiber glass로 지은 円柱型 greenhouse(4.50$\times$3.83$\times$2.80m)內에 乾燥室의 外壁 및 天井을 Polyurethan에 함석을 입혀 黑色 paint로 coating한 板을 heat absorber겸 斷熱板으로, 乾燥室 양편에 各各 4.5㎥의 자갈을 넣은 gravel heat storage system 그리고 greenhouse內의 加熱된 空氣를 練燒室로 誘導할 수 있는 air duct를 설치한 8.25㎥의 太陽熱 直接利用 方式의 Bulk 乾燥材와 同一한 크기의 Bulk 乾燥材를 比較 試驗하였다. 乾燥期間中 外溫 30.5~35.5$^{\circ}C$, 總日射量 1004.2~1436.2 cal/$\textrm{cm}^2$의 條件下에서 3回 乾燥 試驗한 結果, 天井 heat absorber의 最高溫度는 89$^{\circ}C$이였으며, 練燒室로 吸入되는 空氣의 最高溫度는 64$^{\circ}C$이며 평균 46$^{\circ}C$로서 外溫에 비하여 18$^{\circ}C$가 높았고, 慣行Bulk乾燥材에 비하여 25%의 燃料가 節減되였다.

플랜트팜용 3원계 (Zn-Al-Mg) 합금도금 강판의 국부손상에 따른 부식 메커니즘 (Corrosion Mechanism According to Localized Damage of Zn-Al-Mg Alloy Coated Steel Sheet Used in Plant Farm)

  • This study aimed to evaluate corrosion resistance of steel coated with GI and Zn-Al-Mg alloy using cyclic corrosion test (CCT) with electrochemical polarization and impedance measurements. Results showed that the Zn-Al-Mg alloy coated steel had a much higher corrosion rate than GI coated steel in early stages of corrosion. With prolonged immersion, however, the corrosion rate of the Zn-Al-Mg alloy coated steel greatly decreased, mainly owing to a significant decrease in the cathodic reduction reaction and an increase in polarization resistance at the surface. This was closely associated with the formation of protective corrosion products including Zn5(OH)8Cl2·H2O and Zn6Al2(OH)16CO3. Moreover, when the steel substrate was locally exposed due to mechanical damage, the kinetics of anodic dissolution from the coating layer and the formation of protective corrosion products on the surface of the Zn-Al-Mg alloy coated steel became much faster compared to the case of GI coated steel. This could provide a longer-lasting corrosion inhibition function for Zn-Al-Mg alloy coated steel used in plant farms.
