WCDMA LCR-TDD 시스템에서 다중 레벨 제어 시그날링이 적용된 ARQ 기반 하향링크 TSTD의 성능 (Performance of ARQ-aided Downlink Time Switched Transmit Diversity with multi-level Control Signaling in the WCDMA LCR-TDD System)

  • 본 논문에서는 WCDMA LCR-TDD 시스템에서 멀티레벨 제어 신호 방식을 적용한 하향 링크 ARQ-TSTD (ARQ-aided Time Switched Transmit Diversity)의 성능을 계산한다. 제안된 ARQ-TSTD는 멀티레벨 제어 선호 방식을 적용하여 수신측이 에러체크를 수행한 후 송신측으로 기존의 응답신호 (ACK or NACK or 신호) 이외에 NACK2 선호를 정의하고 이를 피드백한다. 송신측은 NACK2 신호를 본 논문에서 제안한 전송지연과 다중사용자 스케줄링 방식을 적용하는데 활용한다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 3km/h의 이동국 속도에서 프레임 오류 확률 (Frame Error Rate)이 10%일 때 5개 서브프레임 전송지연 방식, 2명의 사용자 스케줄링 방식이 각각 약 1.3dB, 약1.4dB의 성능향상이 있었다. 그리고 Eb/N0=-3dB에서 각각 약 14% 11.5%의 수율 성능 이득이 있었다.

  • Ubiquitous 핵심에 위치한 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification)는 관련 H/W 및 S/W 기술의 발전에 따라 RFID 데이터를 수집하고 분석하여 이를 필요로 하는 응용 서비스에게 제공하거나 연동할 수 있는 RFID 데이터 처리 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문은 EPCglobal의 표준을 따른 EPC-IS(Electronic Product Code Information Service)를 위한 성능 향상 방안을 제안한다. 제안을 바탕으로 구현한 EPC-IS는 Rule 기반의 Connection Point를 지원함으로써 Legacy Enterprise 시스템과 원활히 연동할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 Policy 기반의 Backup Scheduling을 제공하여 RFID 시스템의 저장소 관리를 효율적으로 할 수 있는 RFID 데이터처리 시스템이다.

  • In this study, we proposed a fuzzy gain scheduler with intelligent learning algorithm for a reactor control. In the proposed algorithm, we used the gradient descent method to learn the rule bases of a fuzzy algorithm. These rule bases are learned toward minimizing an objective function, which is called a performance cost function. The objective of fuzzy gain scheduler with intelligent learning algorithm is the generation of adequate gains, which minimize the error of system. The condition of every plant is generally changed as time gose. That is, the initial gains obtained through the analysis of system are no longer suitable for the changed plant. And we need to set new gains, which minimize the error stemmed from changing the condition of a plant. In this paper, we applied this strategy for reactor control of nuclear power plant (NPP), and the results were compared with those of a simple PI controller, which has fixed gains. As a result, it was shown that the proposed algorithm was superior to the simple PI controller.

  • As the tasks of robots become more diverse, some complicated tasks have come to require force and position hybrid control. A compliant device can be used to control force and position simultaneously by separating the twist of the robot's end effector from the twist of compliance and freedom by using stiffness mapping of the compliant device. The development of a fuzzy gain scheduling scheme of control for a robot with a compliant device is described in this paper. Fuzzy rules and reasoning are performed on-line to determine the gain of twists based on wrench error and twist error and twist of compliance and twist of freedom ratio. Simulation results demonstrate that better control performance can be achieved in comparison with constant gain control.

  • This paper proposes a gain scheduled control technique using time-delay for the nonlinear system with plant uncertainties and unexpected disturbances. The time delay-based gain scheduled control depends on a direct estimation of a function representing the effect of uncertainties. The information from the estimation is used to cancel the unknown dynamics and the unexpected disturbances simultaneously. The proposed estimation scheme with a finite convergence time is formulated in order to estimate the unknown scheduling variable variation. In other words, the time delay-based gain scheduled control uses the past observation of the system's response and the control input to directly modify the control actions rather than to adjust the controller gains or to identify system parameters. It has a simple structure so as to minimize the computational burden. The benefits of this proposed scheme are demonstrated in the simulation of an electromagnetic suspension system with plant uncertainties and external disturbances, and the proposed controller is compared with the conventional state feedback controller.

  • 무선 ATM의 매체 접근 제어 프로토콜에서의 통계적 다중화를 실현하기 위해서는 중앙의 무선 ATM 액세스점(Wireless ATM Access Point)에 의해 동적 슬롯 할당을 수행할 수 있는 스케쥴링 기능이 제공되어야 한다. 그러므로 AP에서는 이동국으로부터 전송된 동적 파라미터(Dynamic Parameter)를 이용해 중앙 집중식 스케쥴링 기법을 적용하는 동적 대역 할당 매체 접근 제어 프로토콜이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 묵시적인 방법에 의한 간접적인 동적 파라미터의 전송을 통해 동적 슬롯 할당이 가능한 새로운 스케쥴링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 방식을 알고리즘의 적시성과 정확성 측면에서 우수한 성능을 보이는 것을 확인함으로써 동적 파라미터에 전적으로 의존하지 않고 효율적인 스케쥴링이 수행될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 셀룰러 시스템을 위한 사용자들 간 다중 포인트 협력 통신 (CoMP; Coordinated Multi-Point) 기법에 대하여 설계하고 이를 바탕으로 성능 분석이 이루어졌다. LTE-Advanced (Long Term Evolution-Advanced) 시스템에서 몬테카를로 모의실험이 이루어졌으며, CDF (Cumulative Distribution Function) 그래프를 통해 그 성능을 확인한다. CoMP를 사용하였을 때 성능이 향상되는 것을 확인하였으며, 스케줄링과 프리코딩 등 여러 기법을 추가로 적용하였을 때 더 좋은 결과를 얻는 것을 확인한다.

Energy-Efficient Scheduling with Delay Constraints in Time-Varying Uplink Channels

  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of minimizing the average transmission power of users while guaranteeing the average delay constraints in time-varying uplink channels. We design a scheduler that selects a user for transmission and determines the transmission rate of the selected user based on the channel and backlog information of users. Since it requires prohibitively high computation complexity to determine an optimal scheduler for multi-user systems, we propose a low-complexity scheduling scheme that can achieve near-optimal performance. In this scheme, we reduce the complexity by decomposing the multiuser problem into multiple individual user problems. We arrange the probability of selecting each user such that it can be determined only by the information of the corresponding user and then optimize the transmission rate of each user independently. We solve the user problem by using a dynamic programming approach and analyze the upper and lower bounds of average transmission power and average delay, respectively. In addition, we investigate the effects of the user selection algorithm on the performance for different channel models. We show that a channel-adaptive user selection algorithm can improve the energy efficiency under uncorrelated channels but the gain is obtainable only for loose delay requirements in the case of correlated channels. Based on this, we propose a user selection algorithm that adapts itself to both the channel condition and the backlog level, which turns out to be energy-efficient over wide range of delay requirement regardless of the channel model.

풍력터빈 타워 하중 저감을 위한 타워 댐퍼 게인 스케줄링 알고리즘 설계 (Design of Tower Damper Gain Scheduling Algorithm for Wind Turbine Tower Load Reduction)

  • This paper deals with the NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) 5-MW reference wind turbine. The controller which include MPPT (Maximum power point tracking) control algorithm and tower load reduction control algorithm was designed by MATLAB Simulink. This paper propose a tower damper algorithm to improve the existing tower damper algorithm. To improve the existing tower damper algorithm, proposed tower damper algorithm were applied the thrust sensitivity scheduling and PI control method. The thrust sensitivity scheduling was calculated by thrust force formula which include thrust coefficient table. Power and Tower root moment DEL (Damage Equivalent Load) was set as a performance index to verify the load reduction algorithm. The simulation were performed 600 seconds under the wind conditions of the NTM (Normal Turbulence Model), TI (Turbulence Intensity)16% and 12~25m/s average wind speed. The effect of the proposed tower damper algorithm is confirmed through PSD (Power Spectral Density). The proposed tower damper algorithm reduces the fore-aft moment DEL of the tower up to 6% than the existing tower damper algorithm.

  • Single Carrier Frequency Domain Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) has proven to be the best long term evolution for uplink multiple access because of its low Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR), a feature that leads to low power consumption. This is achievable only if the resource allocation is performed in a contiguous manner. This paper proposes a new approach with an improvement in the global resources allocation. The new approach presented utilizes the gain function, which adopts some of the procedures deduced from the older Recursive Maximum Expansion (RME) algorithm. The experiment proved that the new approach is better than the original RME algorithms and in most cases, is closer to the optimal solution.
