Identifiers Extraction of Container Image using Fuzzy Reasoning Rule (퍼지 추론 규칙을 이용한 컨테이너 영상의 식별자 추출)

  • 운송 컨테이너의 식별자를 추출하는 것은 컨테이너 식별자들의 크기나 위치가 정형화되어 있지 않고 외부의 잡음으로 인하여 식별자의 형태가 훼손되어 있기 때문에 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 특성을 고려하여 컨테이너 영상에 대해 Canny 마스크를 이용하여 에지를 검출하고, 검출된 에지 정보에서 영상획득 시 외부 광원에 의해 수직으로 길게 발생하는 잡음들을 퍼지추론 방법을 적용하여 제거한 후에 수직 블록과 수평 블록을 검출하여 컨테이너의 식별자 영역을 추출한다. 추출된 컨테이너의 식별자 영역에서 히스토그램 방법과 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 각각 이용하여 개별 식별자를 추출한다. 실제 컨테이너 영상을 대상으로 실험 결과, 제안된 컨테이너 식별자 추출 방법이 다양한 컨테이너 영상에 대해 효율적인 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 상태변화에 대한 자율적 의사결정을 하는 퍼지논리를 이용한 에이전트를 구현하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 제한적인 조건을 설정하여 부분적인 실험을 하였다. 에이전트를 구성하기 위한 추론방식으로는 max-product 기법을 사용하였으며, n개 퍼지 규칙들 또는 연관들 $(A_1,\;B_1),\;{\ldots},\;(A_n,\;B_n)$을 가지는 상황을 고려하여 비퍼지화 작업을 수행하여 중심값을 추출하여 추론 작업을 실행하였다.

  • In fuzzy inferencing, most of conventional fuzzy controllers have problems of speed down in floating point operations of fuzzy membership functions in (0,1) as compared with integer operations. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a high-speed fuzzy controller with only integer operations. In this, for fast fuzzy computations, we use a scan line conversion algorithm to convert lines of each fuzzy linguistic term to the set of the closest integer pixels. We also implement a GUI (Graphic User Interface) application program for the convenient environments to modify and input fuzzy membership functions.

Fuzzy Inference-based Replication Scheme for Result Verification in Desktop Grids (데스크톱 그리드에서 결과 검증을 위한 퍼지 추론 기반 복제 기법)

  • The result verification is necessary to support a guarantee for the correctness of the task results be executed by any unspecified resources in desktop grid environments. Typically, voting-based and trust-based result verification schemes have been used in the environments. However, these suffer from two potential problems: waste of resources due to redundant replicas of each task and increase in turnaround time due to the inability to deal with a dynamic changeable execution environment. To overcome these problems, we propose a fuzzy inference-based replication scheme which can adaptively determine the number of replicas per task by using both trusty degree and result return probability of resources. Therefore our proposal can reduce waste of resources by determining the number of replicas meeting with a dynamic execution environment of desktop grids, not to mention an enhancement of turnaround time for entire asks. Simulation results show that our scheme is superior to other ones in terms of turnaround time, the waste of resources, and the number of re-replications per task.

  • The rule based system is inference engine which can correspond quickly to new business model change and improvement requirement by dealing with the business know-how and expert knowledge as well as business process of enterprise and has been trying to apply to the various industries. As a part of application cases for rule-based system, we develop and implement the rule-based insurance product recommend and design system for the efficient decision making of insurance product in insurance industry which is sensitively affected by needs of customers, various kinds of product, and environment changes. The process of fuzzy inference of the developed system helps to recommend and design the proper Insurance product using the information of the present customer and the previous members. This approach is expected that it will be the core technology for the recommendation and design of the tailored insurance product by deciding and corresponding needs of various kinds of customer quickly in future insurance industry.

  • In this paper, we suggest a motion analysis method using ART-I1 competitive learning neural network and fuzzy reasoning by matching the same objects through the consecutive image sequence. we use the size and mean intensity of the region obtained from image segmentation for the region matching by the region and use a ART-I1 competitive learning neural network wh~ch has a learning ability to reflect the topology of the input patterns in order to select characteristic points to describe the shape of a region. Motion vectors for each regions are obtained by matching selected characteristic points. However, the two dimensional image, the projection of the the three dimensional real world, produces fuzziness in motion analysis due to its incompleteness by nature and the error from image segmentation used for extracting information about objects. Therefore, the belief degrees for each regions are calculated using fuzzy reasoning to l-nanipulate uncertainty in motion estimation.

  • When PPG signal is used in mobile healthcare devices, the accuracy of the measured heartbeat decreases from the influence by the movement of the user. The reason is that the frequency band of the noise overlaps the frequency band of the PPG signal. In order to remove these same noises, the methods using frequency analysis method or application of acceleration sensor have been investigated and showed excellent performance. However, in applying these methods to low-cost healthcare devices, it is difficult to apply these methods because of much processing time and sensor's cost. In order to solve these problems, this study proposed the filter design method using an adaptive notch filter and the fuzzy inference system to extract more accurate heart rate in real time and evaluated its performance. As results, it showed better results than the other methods. Based on the results, when applying the proposed method to design the mobile healthcare device, it is possible to measure the heartbeat more accurately in real time.

  • In this paper, a hierarchical fuzzy controller for stabilization of the inverted pendulum system is proposed. The facility of this hierarchical fuzzy controller which has a swing-up control mode and a stabilization one, moves a pendulum in an initial natural stable equilibrium point and a cart in arbitrary position to an unstable equilibrium point and a center of rail. Specially, the virtual equilibrium point (.PHI.$_{VEq}$ ) which describes functionally considers the interactive dynamics between a position of cart and a angle of inverted pendulum is introduced. And comparing with the convention optimal controller, the proposed hierarchical fuzzy inference made substantially the inverted pendulum system robust and stable.e.

  • In this paper, a an algorithm that detects the endocardial boundary, expanding the region from endocardial cavity using fuzzy inference, is proposed. This algorithm decides the ventricular cavity by fuzzy inference in process of searching each pixel from the inside of left ventricle in echocardial image and expands it. Uncertainty and fuzziness exists in decision of endocardial boundary. Therefore, we convert the lingustic representation of mean, standard deviation, and threshold value that are characteristic variables of endocardial boundary to fuzzy input and output variables. And, we extract proposed method is robuster to noise than radial searching method that is highly dependent on center position. To prove the similarity of detected boundary by fuzzy nference, we used the measures of SIZE, correlation coefficient, MSD, and RMSE and had acquired reasonable results.

  • The objective of this paper is to show how the fuzzy sets theory can be applied to the reservoir operation guidelines for agricultural purposes. The concepts of the theory has been resented as a new tool for the decision problems which contains fuzziness and it's application can be found in operations research, expert systems, robotics, fuzzy computers, and pattern recognition. The fuzzy control system for the reservoir operation composed of a set of reservoir operation rules and a fuzzy inference engine was built. Water demand for paddy fields, water availability, and inflow to a reservoir were selected as main factors which determine the magnitude of reservoir release. The behavior of the control system was evaluated for different level of water demand and the results seemed to be reasonable.
