Promotional Strategies of Local Drugstores

  • The retail business of drugstore was introduced to Korea for the first time 10 years ago. Since Olive Young introduced a retail store in the name of drugstore in 1999 for the first time in Korea, new distribution channel combining drugstore, cosmetic products and dairy products, etc has been made. At initial stage, the new distribution channel grew up slowly because of low specialty and economic stagnation. However, the three big distribution channels, that is to say, Olive Young (CJ), Watsons (GS) and W Store (Kolon Well Care), etc, were established to produce new distribution system following large-scaled discount stores as well as convenience stores. The purpose of the study is to investigate ways making Korean style drugstore be new retail business in addition to traditional markets, department stores, E-Mart and other general super markets and to examine problems preventing the drugstore from being promoted and to find out solutions. The speciality retailers that is called a category killer attacking department stores as well as marts is expanding market quickly. New consumption trend that gives priority to wellbeing is being expanded in accordance with high level of standards of living life: The drugstore is thought to be new alternative of distribution because it keeps special products. Young ladies who are main customers of drugstores respond to the trend sensitively to have more buying power that is thought to be promising. And, consumers' desire has become concrete and special. This is because consumers want not only convenient shopping but also special shopping system that is current trend. These days, so called Multi-shop and Total shop and other special shops have been recently opened. Special multi-shop has been concentrated on fashion product and miscellaneous goods so far: Health total wellbeing shop shall be popular in accordance with wellbeing trends. Drugstores can play an important role. Drugstores were opened for the first time ten years ago. In particular, Olive Young succeeded in going into the black after making efforts for a long time by many persons. Drugstores could succeed in the business owing to many persons in the past as well as customers who liked drugstores. However, drugstores once lost ways and recorded poor business results. The three drugstores, that is to say, Olive Young, Watsons making efforts to go into the black and W-Store pursuing traditional drugstore shall compete each other and make effort to satisfy customers' desire. In that way, the three drugstores can be assured of present business as well as future business. The consumers' demand trend has become special at sub-division so that drugstores that can satisfy the demand can succeed in the business. Large businesses may be more interested in the 4th generation retail business to produce good income and to have bright future. Drugstore business and market are likely to expand and develop owing to large business' participation in drugstore business. Drugstores expanded shop at Seoul and Gyeonggi-do until middle of 2000. Drugstore business at station sphere in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do that have high ratio of temporary population has low customer loyalty to have limitation on continuous growth. Since 2009, drugstores have opened new shops at local towns: From the year of 2010, drugstores need to establish multiple shop strategy by accelerating business speed and to allow customers to drop in the shop anywhere in the nation and to enter consumers' life deeply, so that they can strengthen business base definitely. Drugstores need to have price competitiveness to have multiple shop opening strategy and to satisfy consumers and to supply high quality services that is future subject to solve. And, Olive Young and Watsons that are Korean style drugstore need to keep system in order and to strengthen substance as Korean style drugstore and to expand marketing, so that they can get business outcome within 5 years that was done 10 years before and they become the 4th generation retail business. The study had difficulties at collecting material from the three drugstore because of poor cooperation. And, the author had great difficulty at collecting statistical material that was made in disorder. Further effort is needed considering such problems.

정치적 요인에 의한 복식문화교류에 관한 연구 (A Study on Costume Culture Interchange Resulting from Political Factors)

  • 복식문화교류의 사례분석을 통해 교류가 복식변화의 한 요인임을 밝히고, 나아가 현재와 미래의 복식 변화에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하는 목적을 가지고 본 연구에서는 정치적 요인에 의한 교류를 중심으로 사례분석 하였다. 복식문화교류를 분석할 수 있는 이론을 제시하기 위해 문화교류, 복식문화에 대해 고찰하고, 이를 근거로 전파, 선택, 재해석의 세 단계로 구성된 복식문화교류 과정의 모델을 제시하였다. 제시한 복식문화교류 과정 모델에 근거해 정치적 요인에 의한 복식문화교류 사례 4가지를 분석하였다. 복식이 기호로 표현 가능하다는 것을 정치적으로 이용한 교류는 강제적이거나 반강제적인 경우가 대부분이었다. 침략자들은 자신들의 우위성을 강조하기 위해 자국의 복식을 피전파지에 강제 수용시켰다. 단순한 물질로서의 복식을 이입시킨 것이 아니라 자신들의 가치관과 삶의 방식을 이입시키고자 한 것이다. 결과를 통해 얻을 수 있는 결론은 교류가 복식문화를 변화시키는 중요한 원동력이라는 것이다. 모든 교류가 전파와 수용 방식에 크게 영향 받지 않고 융합이라는 수용의 결과를 얻었으며, 융합은 기존의 복식과 외래의 복식이 서로 건설적인 방향으로 혼합되어 새로운 복식문화를 만들어 나아갔다.

국제 발기능측정설문지(IIEF)를 이용한 발기부전 환자에서의 홍삼 효능 평가 (Evaluation of Clinical Efficacy of Korea Red Ginseng for Erectile Dysfunction by International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF))

  • 발기부전 환자에서 홍삼의 치료효능을 평가하기 위하여 발기 능력을 측정하고 발기부전의 치료효과를 평가하기 위하여 개발되어 국제적으로 발기부전의 평가지표로 인정되고 있는 IIEF를 이용하여 시행한 연구 결과에서 발기력 강도와 유지의 일차 유효성 평가에서 위약군에 비하여 치료효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 5개의 범주로 나누어 분석한 이차 유효성평가에서는 성적 욕구의 범주의 성욕의 빈도 및 성욕의 정도 항목과 성교 시도 횟수 항목을 제외한 모든 항목에서 홍삼 투여군에서 위약 투여군에 비해 통계학적으로 유의하게 높은 치료 효과를 나타내었다. 8주간 투약종료시범에서 치료가 대상환자에게 도움이 되었는가를 알아보는 유효성 평가 문항에서 홍삼 투여군은 58.3%(14/24)에서 도움이 되었다고 답변을 하여 위약 투여군의 26.1%(6/23)에 비하여 유의하게 높은 치료효과를 나타내었으며, 약물의 안정성 평가에서는 약물관련 특이 반응이나 특별한 부작용은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이상으로 발기부전 환자에서 홍삼의 투여가 특별한 독성이나 부작용 없이 위약군에 비하여 좋은 치료효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 단독 투여뿐만 아니라 다른 발기부전 치료제와의 병용 요법에 따른 상승효과(synergic effect) 등에 대하여도 임상 연구가 필요하리라 생각된다.

정상산모의 질식분만 및 제왕절개술에 대한 표준진료지침서의 개발과 임상 적용 (Development and Clinical Application of Critical Pathways for Vaginal Delivery and Cesarean Section)

  • Background : Critical pathway is an optional sequencing and timing of interventions by physicians, nurses, and other staff for a particular diagnosis or procedure, designed to minimize delays and resource utilization, and to maximize quality of care; abbreviated versions of case management plans that show critical outcome and key incidents that occur in a predictable and timely fashion to achieve an appropriate length of stay. This study is to develop a critical pathway for vaginal delivery and cesarean section to assess the degree of contentment of the patients and medical personnel and to implement clinical application to see how we could meet the need to guide patients to achieve continuum of care. Method : Critical pathways were developed for normal vaginal delivery and casarean section. LOS(length of stay) target for vaginal delivery was 1 day after delivery & 5 days after C-section. It was distributed to the mother at the OPD and explained thoroughly. It was applied when patients got into the Labor & Delivery Floor. We applied total of 42 patients (30 normal deliveries & 12 C-sections) from February to March, 2000. We performed patient satisfaction survey to all 42 patients, 24 nurses, and 7 residents for internal customer satisfaction. Results : Twenty six patients out of 42 responded to the survey. Twenty one patients out of 26 answered satisfactory. Eighty four percent of 21 respondents replied Critical pathway worked very well. Treatment column got the most compliance. Eleven out of 31 employees thought critical pathway is very helpful for the patient care. Eighteen people didn't see any difference. In their opinion, treatment got the least compliance, which is the contrary to patients opinion. Fifty eight percent of respondents thought that critical pathway can expedite early discharge. Conclusion : Patient satisfaction was higher than we expected but we still need to revise the form. It is recommended to analyze the cost and variance check in the future.

한국기업의 지식경영 구축과 인적자원 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study in the construction of the system of knowledge management and human resources management in the Korean firm)

  • Recently, most enterprises are having a knowlege management boom. A number of books associated with the knowlege management are being published, countless public seminars are held, and many research councils have been organized studying it formally or informally as if not importing the system is like falling behind a fashion. However, there are not many cases that achieved success by constructing the system of knowledge management. Then, why the knowledge management is not so much effective despite so many voices wanting the change of management system and a lot of public lectures about it? I guess the reason is that most companies do not have concrete methodology. Seeing a result of a survey which reported that with spread of venture boom and successful examples being known widely, the outflow of precious human resources is accelerated and a large number of employees of conglomerates have already resigned or are considering separation from their positions, we can realize that are occurring a change which can be nearly called severance in an occupational view and an organization culture. The preference to a large enterprise or a public institution of labor is low today and the notion about a lifelong job is regarded as past remains. As for this, it could be said that the social atmosphere that pursued the stability of a job has been changed to the practical one that attaches importance to ability and pay. The way of thinking of employees has been changed while established organizations cannot satisfy their desire and this explains why important members of a company are flown out. The reason why superior human resources move to venture businesses is that they can do their likable work and also prove their ability as well as unconventional rewards. Although existing companies are trying to preserve important human resources through performance compensating stock option, temporary patching up of personnel management cannot retard the rushing wind of foundation and the outflow of labor. On the contrary, clumsy import of performance-based reward system not only fails to hire superior labor power but also can bring about a sense of incompatibility and conflicts among the remaining employees. Therefore, this thesis, focusing on how to choose, develop, and maintain the human resources, will suggest a future-aiming human resources management model of Korean enterprises after comparing and analyzing the actual condition of domestic companies and the trends of advanced corportaions.

노년소비자의 가치와 라이프스타일이 외식업체 선택속성에 미치는 영향 (Potential Effects of Restaurant Selection Preferences by Elderly Consumers' Values and Lifestyle)

  • 본 연구는 서울과 경기지역에 거주하며 외식경험이 있는 55세 이상의 노년소비자의 개인가치와 라이프스타일이 외식업체 선택속성에 미치는 영향관계를 파악함으로써 고령화 사회를 목전에 두고 있는 시점에서 외식기업의 경영활동과 그 성과를 극대화 할 수 있는 방안을 마련함에 있어 그 기초적인 자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 기존의 연구논문을 바탕으로 관련 변수를 추출하고 모형과 가설을 설정하여 설문조사를 통해 본 연구의 결과는 노년소비자가 라이프스타일 활동지향형 요인 즉, 최신의 경향과 유행을 따르며 새로운 일에 도전하는 것을 즐겨하는 편이며, 때로는 열정적인 즐거움을 경험하고 싶어 하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 외적가치를 지향하는 노년소비자는 라이프스타일에 있어서 비교적 다양한 형태를 나타내는 것으로 나타났으며, 원칙지향형은 편안하게 이야기할 수 있으면서 조용하고 휴식을 취할 수 있는 주변사람들로부터 평판이 좋은 곳을 주로 선택하며 활동지향형은 부대시설이나 노인 특가 할인된 메뉴와 서비스가 친절하며 가격이 저렴하다면 다소 멀어도 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 노년소비자의 개인가치와 라이프스타일에 따라 외식업체 선택속성 기준이 달라질 수 있다는 것을 의미하는 것으로 보다 전국적인 범위로 외식업체를 직접 방문하여 노년소비자를 대상으로 한 보완적인 연구를 바탕으로 노년외식소비자가 지향하는 가치와 외식업체 선택속성을 파악함으로써 향후 외식 기업의 활성화와 노년소비자 시장의 마켓팅 전략 수립에 긍정적인 영향을 가져올 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

p53 Nuclear Accumulation as a Possible Biomarker for Biological Radio-dosimetry in Oral Mucosal Epithelial Cells

  • Cellular response to ionizing radiation is affected by cell types, radiation doses, and post-irradiation time. Based on the trypan blue dye exclusion assay in normal oral mucosal cells (OM cells), a 48 h post-irradiation was sufffcient and an adequate time point for the evaluation of radiation sensitivity Its $LD_{50}$ was approximately 1.83 Gy To investigate possible biomarkers useful for the biological radiodosimetry of normal epithelial cells (p53, c-fos, cyclin D1, cdc-2, pRb) EGF receptor phosphorylation and Erk activation were evaluated at different radiation doses and different post-irradiation times. From 0.5 Gy, p53 was accumulated in the nucleus of basal cells of the OM raft culture at 4 h post-irradiation and sustained up to 24 h post-irradiation, which suggests that radiation-induced apoptosis or damage repair was not yet completed. The number of p53 positive cells and biosynthesis of p53 were correlated with radiation doses. Both cyclin D1 and c-fos were only transiently induced within 1 h post-irradiation. Cyclin D1 was induced at all radiation doses. However, cfos induction was highest at 0.1 Gy, approximately 7.3 fold more induction than the control, whose induction was reduced in a reverse correlation with radiation dose. The phosphorylation pattern of cdc-2 and pRb were unaffected by radiation. In contrast to A431 tails overexpressing the EGF receptor approximately 8.5 fold higher than normal epithelial, the OM cells reduced the basal level of the EGF receptor phosphorylation in a radiation dose dependent fashion. In conclusion, among radiation-induced biomolecules, the p53 nuclear accumulation may be considered for the future development of a useful marker far biological radiodosimetry in normal epithelial tissue since it was sustained for a longer period and showed a dose response relationship. Specific c-fos induction at a low dose may also be an important finding in this study It needs to be studied further for the elucidation of its possible connection with the low dose radio-adaptive response.

변화된 노인의 라이프스타일에 따른 노인복지관 여가프로그램 및 공간구성 연구 - 광주광역시 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Leisure Programs and Programs Organization of Space in Senior Welfare Center according to Senior Citizens' Changed Life Style - Focused on the case of Gwangju Metropolitan City -)

  • Senior citizens' new life style has appeared according to the massive retirement of the baby boom generation since 2010. Consequently, Senior Welfare Centers, the provider of elderly leisure programs, has been asked for the programs and spaces which are able to meet the changing life style of the elderly. This study focuses on the survey for current status of leisure programs in accordance with the changing life style and on the investigation for sensible usage of space in senior welfare centers in Gwangju Metropolitan city. The result shows the portion of the programs which every center provides is quite different according to the life style. The program types for challenge and utility are provided 192 times a week and the program types for health and sociality 133 times a week. Both types shows high frequency of supply and use of the program especially 85 times of information-oriented education, 64 times of musical instruments, and 42 times of foreign language are supplied vividly. On the contrary, the program types for fashion and self-management and the program types for volunteer work and achievement are insufficient, so It should be reconsidered to establish the programs and to supply the space for the program from now on. The current status for spatial usage shows that most of the centers share a space for several programs. It means that the space of the Senior Welfare Center is limited and various programs should be run in the narrow space. High frequency programs like the program types for challenge and utility secure sufficient spaces not to miscarry the use for the programs. The center of case B has well equipped and large space and provides proper space for each programs to meet the demand of the senior citizens. Like these, Senior Welfare Centers in Gwangju Metropolitan city have supported Senior citizens' Life Style by supplying various leisure programs to meet the demand for it. This research could be used as the basis for the programs about the spatial utilization in accordance with various future life style of Senior citizens'.

3D 발 스캐너와 3D 프린터를 이용한 남성화 라스트 설계 (Last Design for Men's Shoes using 3D Foot Scanner and 3D Printer)

  • 구두를 제작하는 기본 틀인 라스트는 3차원 형상과 관련된 정보와 기술이 총체적으로 집약된 결과물이다. 해외에서는 이미 3D 프틴팅 기술을 이용한 구두 제작이 상용화 단계에 도달하였으나, 국내에서는 아직 도입 초기 단계이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 제화산업의 경쟁력 확대를 위해, 3D 스캐닝, 3D 모델링, 3D 프린팅의 첨단 기술로 구성된 3D 제작 프로세스를 라스트 제작에 도입하였다. 이를 위해, 2010년도 SizeKorea에서 3D 스캔한 30대 남성 200명의 3D 발 형상을 사용하여, 요인분석, 군집분석을 실시하고, 3개의 발 유형을 분류한 후, 각 유형별 대표모델을 선정하였다. 대표모델들의 3D 스캐닝 형상에서 XY, YZ, XZ평면의 단면도들을 추출하고, 라스트 모델링의 스케치 단면으로 사용하였다. Solidworks CAD를 사용하여 라스트를 3D 모델링하였으며, 보급형 3D 프린터인 MakerBot Replicator2로 3D 프린팅 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 국내 제화산업에서 3D 프린팅 기술의 상용 가능성을 보여주었다. 3D 스캐닝, 3D 모델링, 3D 프린팅의 3단계 생산설계 방식은 향후 의류패션산업 전 분야에서 폭넓게 사용될 것으로 기대된다.
