유리 용해로 축열실 상재 하중 증가에 따른 Rider Arch의 안전성 검토 (A Stability Study of Rider Arch under the Increased Load of Checker Brick in Regernerator of the Reformed Glass Melting Furnace)

  • 유리용해로의 축열실은 폐연소가스로 열을저장하며, 유리용해로에 유입되는 흡입공기를 예열시키는 역할을 한다. 유리용해산업에서 연료소비를 줄이기 위하여 절연법, 단열벽돌, 공기누출등이 오래 연구되었다. 또한 새로운 형태의 단열벽돌과 Rider arch가 유리용해로의 수명연장을 위하여 연구되고 있다. 본 연구는 연구대상공장의 이전설치시 유리용해로의 축열실이 5.64m에서 7.89m로 높이가 높아졌고 이에 따른 축열실 하중증가에 의하여 Rider arch가 더 높은 응력을 받게 되었다. 이런 조건에서 Rider arch의 기계적 안정성을 본 연구에서 검토하였다. 계산식에 의하면 하중증가에 따른 Rider arch의 응력은 안정한 것으로 평가되었고 Rider arch가 견딜수 있는 최대 압축응력은 163kg/$cm^2$이고, 최대전단응력은 6.37kg/$cm^2$이다.

저심도 철도시스템 구축을 위한 저탄소 친환경 PC 박스용 콘크리트의 성능 평가 (A Performance Evaluation of Concrete for Low-carbon Eco-friendly PC Box for Near-surface Transit System)

  • 본 연구에서는 저비용의 저심도 도시철도시스템을 구축하기 위하여 산업부산물인 고로슬래그 미분말, 플라이애시 및 급냉 전기로 산화슬래그를 사용하여 개발된 저탄소 친환경 PC 박스용 콘크리트의 역학적 성능 및 내구성을 평가 하였다. 역학적 특성을 평가한 결과, 재령 1일 압축강도는 모든 조건에서 설계기준강도($f_{ck}$) 35MPa의 90% 이상 강도 발현 하는 것으로 나타나 공기단축 가능으로 건설비용을 절감할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 소요의 물성 및 설계기준강도($f_{ck}$) 35MPa를 만족하는 범위에서 시멘트 단독 사용 조건보다 염소이온침투성 및 확산계수가 낮게 나타나 내염성능이 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 동결융해 저항성 및 화학저항성의 경우에도 내구성능이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 저탄소 친환경 PC 박스용 콘크리트를 사용할 경우, 시멘트 제조 시 발생되는 이산화탄소 및 환경부하를 저감할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

슬래그부산물을 자극제로 활용한 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말 모르타르의 압축강도 발현 특성 (Properties of Compressive Strength of Mortar Based on High-activated Blast Furnace Slag using the Slag by-product as an Activator)

  • 건설산업에서는 탄산가스 저감을 위해 산업부산물을 다량 활용하는 기술개발을 위한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 산업부산물 중 특히 고로슬래그 미분말은 잠재수경성에 기인하여 장기강도는 우수하나 초기강도가 낮기 때문에 많은 양을 대체하는데 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 철강공정 중 용선예비처리 공정에서 발생하는 슬래그부산물을 활용하여 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말을 시험 제조후 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말의 모르타르 압축강도 강도발현 특성을 검토하였다. 또한, 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말 단독으로도 경화가 가능한 특징을 고려해서 2차 콘크리트 제품용 결합재로서 활용 가능성을 검토하고자 배합조건에 따른 콘크리트 제조 및 압축강도 발현특성을 검토하였다. 실험변수로써 슬래그부산물의 분말도, 치환율, 양생조건 및 W/B를 설정하였다. 그 결과 슬래그부산물을 자극제로 활용한 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말 모르타르의 압축강도 향상을 확인하였으며 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말이 단독으로도 경화가 가능하기 때문에 양생 및 배합조건을 고려하면 고활성 고로슬래그 미분말을 콘크리트 2차 제품용 결합재로서 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

다항식 뉴럴 네트워크의 최적화: 진화론적 방법 (Optimization of Polynomial Neural Networks: An Evolutionary Approach)

  • Evolutionary design related to the optimal design of Polynomial Neural Networks (PNNs) structure for model identification of complex and nonlinear system is studied in this paper. The PNN structure is consisted of layers and nodes like conventional neural networks but is not fixed and can be changable according to the system environments. three types of polynomials such as linear, quadratic, and modified quadratic is used in each node that is connected with various kinds of multi-variable inputs. Inputs and order of polynomials in each node are very important element for the performance of model. In most cases these factors are decided by the background information and trial and error of designer. For the high reliability and good performance of the PNN, the factors must be decided according to a logical and systematic way. In the paper evolutionary algorithm is applied to choose the optimal input variables and order. Evolutionary (genetic) algorithm is a random search optimization technique. The evolved PNN with optimally chosen input variables and order is not fixed in advance but becomes fully optimized automatically during the identification process. Gas furnace and pH neutralization processes are used in conventional PNN version are modeled. It shows that the designed PNN architecture with evolutionary structure optimization can produce the model with higher accuracy than previous PNN and other works.

Application of Modified Rapid Thermal Annealing to Doped Polycrystalline Si Thin Films Towards Low Temperature Si Transistors

  • Modified thermal annealing was applied to the activation of the polycrystalline silicon films doped as p-type through implantation of $B_2H_6$. The statistical design of experiments was successfully employed to investigate the effect of rapid thermal annealing on activation of polycrystalline Si doped as p-type. In this design, the input variables are furnace temperature, power of halogen lamps, and alternating magnetic field. The degree of ion activation was evaluated as a function of processing variables, using Hall effect measurements and Raman spectroscopy. The main effects were estimated to be furnace temperature and RTA power in increasing conductivity, explained by recrystallization of doped ions and change of an amorphous Si into a crystalline Si lattice. The ion activation using rapid thermal annealing is proven to be a highly efficient process in low temperature polycrystalline Si technology.

  • It is important to produce the high-temperature and high-pressure air for the concentrated solar power system using the combined cycle. In this paper, we designed two types of tubular receivers to heat up the compressed air and provided their preliminary experimental results for performance evaluation and further improvements. The developed receivers are in a square cavity shape surrounded by flow conduits for easy scale-up and radiation loss reduction. The two receivers were tested with 5 bar air in the KIER solar furnace and evaluated in terms of the outlet temperature and the efficiency.

  • The cost of producing ready mixed concrete(remicon) has increased due to the rising cost of raw materials for concrete and transportation caused by the upturn of oil price. In contrast, its orders have also decreased due to the recession of the construction industry. In addition, the cost of delivery has decreased owing to the excessive competition among manufacturing companies, so manufacturing companies began mixing ground granulated blast-furnace slag or fly ash to lower the cost. However, there is no way to determine whether the strength of the concrete using the admixture is satisfied or dissatisfied with design strength at the early age. The purpose of this study is dedicated to early strength estimation of concrete mixed with an admixture, ground granulated blast-furnace slag.

  • This research goes into the field application cases about Flat slab concrete divide placing construction for the Multi-purpose Apartment. It is important to investigate sufficiently when mass concrete is applied to the substituted divide placing and admixture(blast furnace slag and fly ash). In addition, it is improved on the concrete quality by the job mix design which can decrease cracks caused by the heat of hydration, by the good compactability and the substitution of admixture that can prevent segregation when concrete is poured, and by the good conditioned fluidity which makes the efficiency of building construction. After considering the stated above, the sufficient prior consideration is important for a quality Improvement plan at the field use concrete of the Mass Concrete when divide placing and admixture are substituted and applied.

결합재의 종류 및 치환율에 따른 구속수비의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Properties of the Confined water ratio for Binder type and Replacement ratio)

  • This research investigates the rheological behavior and the confined water ratio of the cement paste and binder condition in order to predict mix design proportion of the high flowing concrete. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum replacement ratio of binders including fly ash, and lime stone powder by the cement weight. For this purpose, belite cement, blast furnace slag cement and ordinary portland cement are selected. As test results, the confined water ratio shows the following range ; OPC>blast furnace slag cement>belite cement. Therefore, belite cement is proved very excellent cementitious materials in a view point of the flowability. The optimum replacement ratio of lime stone powder is shown over $30\%$ in case of belite cement and about $10\%$ in case of slag cement type. Also, the optimum replacement ratio of fly ash is shown $30\%$ by the cement weight considering the confined water ratio and deformable coefficient of the paste condition.
