This study highlights some very important future directions for the revision of language forms in the 2007 Korean English Curriculum, expected to be made public in the summer of 2011. A critical review of the 2007 National English Curriculum shows that language forms exemplified in that curriculum are not well-chosen or well-sequenced from the viewpoint of grammar selection and gradation, and that no mention of structural labels or grammatical terminologies makes it hard for teachers to recognize their formal properties. To fulfill the original purpose that languages should be listed in the curriculum so that functional-notional syllabuses can be complemented by form-focused instruction, the study presents partial inventories of grammatical items with well-chosen and well-sequenced examples. Minimal descriptions are given to these inventories that are based on general notions or well-known grammatical notions. Occasional suggestions are also made for which language forms should be taught in which schools.

본 논문에서는 스칼라 언어의 함수형 프로그래밍 기능의 타당성에 대해서 검토한다. 주된 관심사는 스칼라가 어느 정도까지 람다 식, 고차 함수, 제너릭 타입, 대수적 타입, 모나드 등 함수형 프로그래밍의 주요 특성을 표현할 수 있는 가에 있다. 이 목적을 위하여 명령형 프로그래밍 언어의 인터프리터를 구현한다. 동일한 함수형 프로그래밍 기법을 적용하여 인터프리터를 하스켈과 스칼라로 구현한 다음, 이 두 버전의 구현을 비교 분석한다. 명령형 프로그래밍 언어의 추상 구문트리는 스칼라의 제너릭스를 갖는 대수적 타입과 enum 클래스로서 표현되고, 명령형 프로그래밍의 상태 변환은 상태 모나드를 이용하여 구현된다. 또한 스칼라의 새로운 기능인 extension과 given도 사용된다.

일반적으로 게임 프로그램을 구현할 때 C언어와 같은 명령형 프로그래밍 언어가 주로 사용된다. 하지만 복잡하고 다양한 그림의 모습 및 동작을 표현하기에는 프로그래머의 많은 노력이 요구된다. 복잡한 게임 프로그램을 보다 간결하고 명확하게 표현하는 방법으로 순수 함수형 언어인 Haskell을 이용하는 방법을 시도한다. Haksell과 같은 순수 함수형 프로그래밍은 기술적인 우수성을 가지고 있으며, 현재 많은 분야에서 특화된 언어로 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 동일한 게임을 Haskell과 C로 직접 구현함으로서, 게임 개발 측면에서 두 언어의 차이점과 장단점에 대해서 논의한다. 또한 향후 Haskell의 실용화 가능성에 대해서도 논의한다.

함수형 반응적 프로그래밍(FRP: Functional Reactive Programming)은 하스켈(Haskell)에 내장된 언어로서 두 핵심 고차 타입인 행위(Behavior)와 이벤트(Event)를 기반으로 반응적 시스템을 선언적으로 프로그래밍 한다. 이 논문은 다양한 제약사항을 가진 임비디드 시스템에 FRP를 이용하기 위해 실시간 함수형 반응적 프로그래밍(RT-FRP: Real-time Functional Reactive Programming) 변환기를 설계하고 구현한다. RT-FRP 변환기는 RT-FRP 언어의 기능적 의미론을 기반으로 RT-FRP 프로그램에서 C 프로그램을 생성한다. RT-FRP 변환기의 효과적인 변환을 입증하기 위해, 변환기에서 생성된 테스트 프로그램을 실제 임베디드 시스템, 레고 마인드스톰(LEGO Mindstorm)에 탑재하고 수행하였다. 실험 결과, RT-FRP를 이용할 경우 목적파일의 크기가 조금 증가하였으나 명령형 언어를 이용한 프로그램 보다 간결하게 반응적 시스템 소프트웨어를 프로그래밍 할 수 있었다.

Purpose： The activation of the Brocas and the Wernickes area in the language functional MR (fMR) well-known phenomena. We want to evaluate correlation of that activation with langua lateralization. So we evaluate the lateralization using the activation of the Brocas and t Wernickes area comparing with total cortical activation amount of cerebral hemisphere in t functional MR for measuring language lateralization based on Wada test.

The interests in Machine Translation(MT) have gotten revitalized lately with the rapid expansion of internet users. MT technology has gone through several different stages of development, but the longest surviving methods usually maintains the following characteristics: the expand ability and flexibility based on proved linguistic formalism, the transfer method of translation, the continued efforts of systematic updates being made into the system. This paper introduces one such system, L&H Korean-English bidirectional MT system. This system uses Lexical-Functional Grammar as its linguistic framework. It also adopts the transfer method of MT and has been around on the market for over 10 years for other language pairs. Currently, the system covers over 10 different languages including Chinese, Japanese and Arabic, in addition to European languages. This paper will review the system in its core and discuss related tools and resources be ing used to enhance the quality of translation.

Functional aphonia is a disease in which normal vocal ability is suddenly lost. When voice therapy is started at an early stage, the prognosis is good. However, if the functional aphonia persists for a long time, there is a possibility that the voice disorder may become fixed, though reports of these characteristics are rare. The authors experienced a patient with functional aphonia that occurred in adolescence and lasted for 7 months and reported the result of treatment.
