Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide를 코팅한 폴리프로필렌필름의 항균 및 항진균 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Antibacterial and Antifungal Properties of Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide Coated Polypropylene Film)

  • 본 연구는 기능성 항균 포장재를 신선식품에 적용하기 위한 연구로서 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide를 식품용 포장재 중 하나인 PP 필름에 코팅하여 항균 및 항진균성을 확인하였다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide를 PP 필름에 각각 5%, 10%, 15% 농도로 코팅하였으며, FESEM과 FT-IR 분석을 통해 분산된 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide의 코팅 여부를 확인하였다. 또한 항균 효과를 검증하기 위하여 대조군과 코팅 물질의 농도에 따른 필름의 항균 및 항진균성을 분석하였다. 코팅 필름의 표면 분석 결과 PP 필름의 표면에서 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide의 농도에 따라 코팅 액의 분포 크기가 불규칙하지만 넓게 나타났다. 또한 항균 효과에 따른 분석 결과 박테리아 균 중 하나인 E. coli에서 99.9%의 항균 효과를 확인하였으며, R. oryzae의 성장을 약 70% 억제하여 PP 필름 코팅 적용 후에도 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide가 E. coli와 R. oryzae에 대하여 항균 및 항진균 특성을 갖고 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 따라 Zeolite/Zinc-polypeptide 코팅 필름은 기능성 포장재로서 신선식품의 부패 방지와 보관수명 향상에 효과적일 것으로 보이며, 향후 다양한 신선식품에 적용하기 위한 저장 실험이 요구되어진다.

상온 진공 분말 분사법에 의한 NiMn2O4계 NTC Thermistor 후막제작 및 특성평가 (Fabrication and Characterization of NiMn2O4 NTC Thermistor Thick Films by Aerosol Deposition)

  • Negative temperature coefficient (NTC) materials have been widely studied for industrial applications, such as sensors and temperature compensation devices. NTC thermistor thick films of $Ni_{1+x}Mn_{2-x}O_{4+{\delta}}$ (x = 0.05, 0, -0.05) were fabricated on a glass substrate using the aerosol deposition method at room temperature. Resistance verse temperature (R-T) characteristics of the as-deposited films showed that the B constant ranged from 3900 to 4200 K between $25^{\circ}C$ and $85^{\circ}C$ without heat treatment. When the film was annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ 1h, the resistivity of the film gradually decreased due to crystallization and grain growth. The resistivity and the activation energy of films annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 1 h were 5.203, 5.95, and 4.772 $K{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ and 351, 326, and 299 meV for $Ni_{0.95}Mn_{2.05}O_{4+{\delta}}$, $NiMn_2O_4$, and $Ni_{1.05}Mn_{1.95}O_{4+{\delta}}$, respectively. The annealing process induced insulating $Mn_2O_3$ in the Ni deficient $Ni_{0.95}Mn_{2.05}O_{4+{\delta}}$ composition resulting in large resistivity and activation energy. Meanwhile, excess Ni in $Ni_{1.05}Mn_{1.95}O_{4+{\delta}}$ suppressed the abnormal grain growth and changed $Mn^{3+}$ to $Mn^{4+}$, giving lower resistivity and activation energy.

  • Recently, Aerosol Deposition method has attracted considerable attention because of its advantages to produce ceramic coatings on various substrates at room temperature. This method is strongly dependent on the raw powder, which should have high mobility with carrier gas and moderate mechanical strength to be crushed onto the substrate. In this report, the effects of the ceramic granules' compressive strength on the ceramic coating formation are discussed. The ceramic granules were prepared by spray-drying method and heat treated at various temperatures. It was found that at the moderate mechanical strength of ceramic granules gave more effective film formation behavior during Aerosol Deposition method.

Physical, Mechanical, and Antimicrobial Properties of Edible Film Produced from Defatted Soybean Meal Fermented by Bacillus subtilis

  • In order to extend the shelf-life of packaged or coated foods, an antibacterial edible film was developed from soybean meal that had been fermented with Bacillus subtilis under the optimum condition of pH 7.0-7.5 and $33^{\circ}C$ for 33 h. The water vapor permeability of the fermented film ($86.0 mg/cm^2{\cdot}h$) was higher than those of normal soybean films ($66.9 mg/cm^2{\cdot}h$). Protein solubility of the fermented film was also higher than ordinary soy protein film at the pH range of 3 -10. The fermented soybean film had higher tensile strength and lower $\%$ elongation (elongation rate) than the ordinary soybean film, mainly because partial hydrolysis of proteins in the soybean film occurred during fermentation. Antimicrobial properties of the fermented film on foodstuffs were measured by placing the films on surime, jerked beef, and mashed sausage media; containing $10^2-10^3$ CFU/plate of foodborne pathogenic bacteria, and showed significantly higher inhibitory effects on the growths of all the indicating bacteria. The film could be used as a packaging material in the food industry. However, before direct application of the fermented film to the commercial food industry, its poor mechanical and antibacterial properties need to be improved.

다이아몬드 분말상에 무전해 Ni-B 도금을 위한 계면활성제의 영향 (Effect of Surfactant in Electroless Ni-B Plating for Coating on the Diamond Powder)

  • The properties of electroless Ni-B thin film on diamond powder with different parameters (temperature, pH, surfactant etc.) were studied. The surface morphology, structure and composition distribution of the Ni-B film were observed by field effect scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The growth rate of Ni-B film was increased with increase of bath temperature. The B content in Ni-B film was reduced with increase of bath pH. As a result the structure of Ni-B film was changed from amorphous to crystalline structure. The PVP in solution plays multi-functional roles as a dispersant and a stabilizer. The Ni-B film deposited with adding 0.1 mM-PVP was strongly introduced an amorphous structure with higher B content (25 at.%). Also the crystallite size of Ni-B film was reduced from 12.7 nm to 5.4 nm.

건식법에 의해 제조된 내열성 폴리이미드박막의 열적특성 및 습도감지특성 (Thermal and Humidity Sensing Properties of Heat Resistant Polyimide Thin Film Manufactured by Dry Process)

  • The aim of this paper is to establish the optimum fabrication condition of specimens, using the Vapor Deposition Polymerization Method(VDPM), which is one of modesto prepare functional organic thin films using a dry process, and to develop a thin film type humidity sensor which has good humidity sensitive characteristics. The inner part of the film became denser and roughness of the film surface eased as curing temperature increased so that thickness of the film could be made uniform. This also shows the appropriate curing temperature was $250^{\circ}C$. The basic structure of the humidity sensor is a parallel capacitor which consists of three layers of Aluminum/Polyimide/Aluminum. The result of SEM and AFM measurement shows that the thickness of PI thin films decreased and the refraction increased as curing temperature increased, which indicates that a capacitance-type humidity sensor utilizing polyimide thin film is fabricated on a glass substrate. The characteristics of fabricated samples were measured under various conditions, and the samples had linear characteristics in the range of 20-80 %RH, independent of temperature change, and low hysteresis characteristic.

Development of Antimicrobial Edible Film Incorporated with Green Tea Extract

  • This study investigated the antimicrobial activity of soy protein isolate (SPI) film containing green tea extract (GTE, 1-4%, w/w) on dental caries-inducing bacterium (Streptococcus mutans), food pathogenic (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli 0157, Salmonella typhimurium), and spoilage (Pseudomonas aeruginosa) bacteria. The physical and mechanical properties of the SPI film containing GTE were also studied. The SPI film containing GTE (4%, w/w) exhibited good antimicrobial activity against S. mutans and S. aureus. The antimicrobial activity of the SPI film containing GTE increased against S. mutans as the concentration of GTE increased up to 4%(w/w). SPI films containing GTE showed lower tensile strength and elongation, and higher total soluble matter than those of control SPI film. Therefore, GTE can be used as one of antimicrobial agents for anti-dental caries and food packaging films.

  • In the present study, we investigated the formation of self-organized nanostructure oxide layers on CP Ti and Ti-10Ta-10Nb alloy in an electrolyte of 1M phosphoric acid and 1.5 wt% Hydrofluoric acid. The morphology of oxide film on substrate was observed using scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy The surface roughness of titanium oxide film was analyzed by atomic force microscopy and the crystalline of specimen was investigated using X-ray diffractometer. The results of this study showed that well-aligned titanium oxide nanotubes are formed with diameter of approx. 100nm and length of approx. 500nm with CP Ti. However, it is clear that TiTaNb alloy highly irregular structure with various diameters. Transmission electron microscope investigations show that the specimens were confirmed as amorphous. Such titanium oxide nanotubes are expected a well-adhered bioacitive surface layer on titanium substrate for orthopedics and dental implants.

  • 본 연구에서는 습식 코팅 방식 중 하나인 다층박막적층법의 자동화 시스템을 제작하였다. 특히, 본 연구에서 제안한 자동화 시스템은 다층박막적층법의 공정 변수(예를 들어, 증착 재료, 코팅 깊이, 코팅 및 헹굼 시간)를 제어함으로써 손으로 작업하는 것과 동일한 변수 조작이 가능하게 설계되었다. 자동화 시스템을 통해 기판을 완벽하게 용액 안으로 침액시킬 수 있으며, 이를 통해 특별한 분자간 결합(예를 들어, 정전기적 인력, 공유 및 수소 결합)을 통해 기판 위에 균일한 다층의 박막 형성이 가능하다. 두 종류 이상의 용액으로 기판이 침액될 때, 이 기판은 다른 용액으로 이동되기 전에 청소 구역에서 헹굼과 건조 과정을 거친다. 이러한 담금, 헹굼, 건조 과정은 모두 컴퓨터 프로그램에 의해 제어 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 자동화 시스템을 통해 그래핀을 기반으로 하는 다층박막 샘플을 제작하였고, 균일한 그래핀의 적층 여부를 분석하기 위해 제작된 샘플의 흡광도와 두께를 측정하였다. 기판 위에 그래핀과 고분자 층의 적층이 진행될수록 흡광도와 두께가 균일하게 증가하는 결과를 통해, 본 연구에서 제작한 자동화 시스템이 수작업을 통한 다층박막의 적층을 완벽하게 대체 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

기능성 필름이 부착된 골판지상자에 포장한 애호박의 신선도에 미치는 효과 (Paperboard Box Laminated with Functional MA Film for Freshness Extension of Squash(Cucurbita moschata))

  • 기능성 MA필름을 생산하여 이를 골판지 상자의 내부에 첩합시킨 FC상자의 활용가능성을 조사하고자 골판지 상자와 기능성 MA필름대를 골판지 상자 내부의 1면당 4곳씩 첩합시킨 FC포장구와 0.03, 0.05mm 두께의 LDPE 필름(30LD, 50LD)으로 애호박을 포장하여 2$0^{\circ}C$에 저장하여 품질변화를 조사한 결과, FC 상자와 30LD와 50LD 포장구는 대조구 보다는 중량 감소율이 현저히 낮았으며 Vitamin C의 함량도 대조구 보다 FC 포장구가 26% 높게 유지되고 있고, 클로로필도 대조구 보다 16% 정도 더 높게 유지되고 있었다. 소비자 측면에서 살펴본 시장성도 FC 포장구는 대조구 보다는 2-3일, LD포장구 보다는 1-2일정도 더 시장성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
