함수 개념은 그 자체만으로 이루어진 단일한 개념이 아니라 산술, 기하와 같은 수학의 여러 주제가 통합된 개념이다. 따라서 함수는 수학의 밑바탕에 폭넓게 스며 있는 기본적인 개념일 뿐 아니라 변화하는 현실 세계를 이해하기 위한 개념적인 수단으로서 다양한 변화 현상을 '보기' 위해서 생각하지 않을 수 없다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 역사적인 고찰을 통해 통합개념으로서 함수 개념에 대해 고찰하였다. 특히 함수 개념과 관련된 표현이 보다 명백히 드러난 중세에서부터 19세기까지 함수 개념의 변화를 통해 통합개념으로서 함수의 모습을 살펴보았다.

The evolution of the function concept was delineated in terms of the 17th and 18th Centuries' dependent nature of function, and the 19th and 20th Centuries' arbitrary and univalent nature of function. According to mathematics educators' beliefs about the value of the function concept in school mathematics, certain definitions of the concept tend to be emphasized. This study discusses three types - genetical (dependence), logical (settheoretical), analogical (machine/equations) - of definition of function and their values.

함수 개념을 실제로 사용되고 있는 측면에서 분석하면 인과, 명명, 연산, 변화, 도형, 형태, 변수, 범함수, 작용소 등 적어도 9가지의 양상이 존재한다. 이러한 분석을 통하여 함수 개념은 현재 3단계로 성장해 왔다는 것이 밝혀졌다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the concept of physical activity. The method was based on the steps of concept analysis by Walker and Avant(1988). The result of this study were as follows； Upon the concept analysis, physical activity is defined as a series of bodily movements which is performed voluntarily by individual. The defining attributes of physical activity were a series of bodily movements, energy expenditure, goal-directedness, and self-control of the body. The antecedents of physical activity were neuromusculoskeletal function, cardiopulmonary function and cognitive function. And the consequences of physical activity were improvement of physical function, induction of fatigue, and need(physiopsychosocial) satisfaction. Further studies are needed to develop the concept of physical activity using the Hybrid model. In addition, considering personal characteristics it is important to study the facilitating factors of physical activity.

As a researcher engaged in the mathematical education, mathematics teachers are interested in instructional methods. While it is unlikely that the viewpoints of individual mathematics teachers are reflected in making decisions on instructional purposes and instructional contents, a good many parts of instructional methods on mathematical facts are decided by individual teachers. This means that the role of mathematics teachers is given much weight in the mathematical education. Therefore, the mathematics teachers must not be excluded in all parts of the study of mathematical education. We studied the instructional methods of function concept, a central topic in school mathematics from the following perspectives. First, we examined the characteristics of the three(correspondence-centered, middle, dependence centered) viewpoints about the essence of function concept. And we should that which of them should be the viewpoint of instruction of function concept in school mathematics. Second, we investigated the questions regarding the process of function instruction in school mathematics and presented alternative instruction methods of function concept to solve the questions. Third, we postulated the importance of polynomial function, relating college mathematics in order to present the reason why the polynomial function is importantly treated in functional instruction of school mathematics.

The purpose of this study is to estimate teachers' knowledge of mathematics via the concept of function. For the purpose, a survey was done to measure their knowledge of mathematics. The result obtained from the survey was as follows With respect to the knowledge on concept of friction, they understood the function as ordered pairs and graph rather than as relation and expression. This study reached the following conclusions from the result : They have the more static cognition than the dynamic one on the concept of unction.

This article aimed at broadening the view on 'the concept of function' in furniture design. In this context, we argued that the established concept of furniture function has confined itself to the rational perspective, so that the emotional action and influence of furniture hardly regarded as an important issue in furniture design, and this has been a hinderance to multidirectional discussions on the meaning of furniture in our life. Starting from the investigation on the basis that forms the different dimensions of our experience of furniture, we clarified that we should view the meaning of furniture within a wider sphere where the actions of furniture on our perceptional, behavioral, and emotional levels are inclusively considered. In this light, 'emotional function' of furniture was defined as a concept that explains a multidimensional action of furniture, which leads creative aesthetic experience which enrich the interplays between designer, furniture, and user. The feasibility of the concept has been examined by an analysis on the characteristics of contemporary Art Furniture, which is experimental approaches towards various aesthetic values of art and design. In order to realize emotional function of furniture, furniture should become an experiment for the new perception and emotion; invite more of the user's interplay and action in the meaning-making process; and arouse emotional echoes and reflections within user's mind.

The purpose of this study is to develop learning materials for functional concept on variable and to verify the effect of how well students could learn functional concept after they studied with those materials. To accomplish the purpose of this study, I developed learning materials and after teaching students with them. I have concluded the followings : First, there was little effect in teaching functional concept on variable between two experimental groups, whereas teaching functional concept had greater effect on forming functional concept in high level groups in those two experimental groups. Second, teaching functional concept on variable had little effect on students' understanding of functional concept and perfecting tables in Black box, graph, and mathematical problems, whereas there was much effect in students' understanding functional concept and solving relation formula, image, and range problems related to everyday life or general things. On the basis of the problems which appeared in the process of this study, the following can be suggested : First, we should develop learning materials fit for low level students so that they could understand functional concept. Second, we should continue to teach the basic problems like solving relation formula, image, and range, and understanding functional concept in graph until students are able to understand them exactly. Third, since the goals of Unit Function in a middle school textbook is to solve problems related to everyday life through functional thinking, there should be change in constructing systematic contents of Unit Function in a middle school textbook.

본 논문에서는 세 가지 관련된 분야의 연구를 통하여 우리나 대학 신입생들의 함수 개념을 조사하였다. 대학 신입생들은 함수를 어떻게 이해하고 있는가?; 인식론적 장애를 포함한 오 개념에는 어떤 것들이 있는가?; 함수 개념은 어떤 경로를 거쳐서 획득되는가? 등이다. 이와 함께 대학의 여러 분야에서 함수가 어떻게 정의되고 쓰이는지를 살펴보고, 미국의 교과서들에 나타난 함수 정의와 도입을 살펴보았다. 설문조사와 이들을 토대로 함수를 대응의 관점에서 도입하는 새로운 교육과정에 대하여 수직선 테스트의 도입을 포함한 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

Purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between Sung-Jung' concept of Sasang Constitutional Medicine and Brain. So, After studying the meaning of Sung-Jung' concept of Sasang Constitutional Medicine, I made a comparative study through the structure, function, development of Brain. The conclusions were as follows. 1. Human's brain acts a rational, control his actions. and It manage human body's physiology and pathology. and It perceive his surroundings, express his emotion through comprehension, synthesis, judgement about information from various fields. and It's abnormality bring about a spiritual, bodily injury. Therefore, human's brain have many correlation with Sung-Jung' concept of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Neocortex' function have many correlation with Sung' concept of Hearing-Sight-Smell-Taste (聽視嗅味=sensation=a highly mental capacity) through Ear-Eye-Nose-Mouse(耳目鼻?). 3. Limbic-system'function have many correlation with Jung' concept of Sorrow-Anger-Pleasure-Joy(哀怒喜榮=emotion) through Lung-Spleen-Liver-Kidney(肺脾肝腎) 4. Brain-stem' function have many correlation with vitalistic concept through Qui of Sorrow - Anger - Pleasure - Joy(哀怒喜樂之氣)' rise and fall. 5. Relation of emotions and diseases through Limbic system and Autonomic nervous system have many correlation with relation of Sung-Jung and diseases of Sasang Constitutional Medicine 6. Left-hemisphere' function that has superior power of verbal, analysis, logicality, consideration have many correlation with tendency of Soeumin and Taeumin. and Right-hemisphere' function that has superior power of emotion, non-verbal, imagination, spatial perception have many correlation with tendency of Soyangin and Taeyangin.
