  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the perceived motivations of the corporate social marketing to fashion brand and the process of consumer-brand relationship building. In this study, we proposed the hypotheses on the relationships among six focal variables. The collected data were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and covariance structure analysis with SPSS 12.0 program and AMOS 7.0. 519 complete responses were obtained from core female adults consumers in fashion market. The results were as follows. First, philanthropic motivation significantly affected both benevolence and expert-based trust, but economic motivation significantly affected expert-based trust only. Second, there were significant effects in consumer trust and brand emotion. Third, the brand emotion had a strong influence on brand commitment. The results of this study will help fashion corporations to understand the relative importance of the two different motivations of CSR activities in building consumer-brand relationships.

  • 177-Existing music recommendation systems do not sufficiently consider the discrepancy between the intended emotions conveyed by song lyrics and the actual emotions felt by users. In this study, we generate topic vectors for lyrics and user comments using the LDA model, and construct a user preference model by combining user behavior trajectories reflecting time decay effects and playback frequency, along with statistical characteristics. Empirical analysis shows that our proposed model recommends music with higher accuracy compared to existing models that rely solely on lyrics. This research presents a novel methodology for improving personalized music recommendation systems by integrating emotion recognition and user behavior analysis.

  • The imploded open $\pi$-rays comprise of the space and their diameters are distributed from nearly zero to infinite. The change of the potential energy in the open $\pi$-ray produces an attraction force between them and it is sensible to the geometric shape factor and its frequency. The equivalent principle of general relativity means that in the wave equation its velocity of the force wave is infinite. The change of the state in a open $\pi$-ray(or any force wave) can be transferred to any sensible open $\pi$-ray via space at a finite velocity. Many properties of the light wave can be deduce from the motions of open $\pi$-rays.The nonsteady and steady Schr dinger equations include the dynamics of open $\pi$-rays and closed $\pi$-rays.$\prod$-ray is a tool of entity for constructing physics and metaphysics at the same time.

  • A full-scale driving simulator is being developed as an effective test-bed for reproducing realistic driving situation in a safe and tightly controlled environment and conducting various human sensibility ergonomics studies. The simulator will be equipped with a 6 degree-of-freedom, high frequency motion base and a 4 channel, wide field-of-view visual system. The simulator will be fully interactive, highly realistic, and yet economical, taking advantages of the fast growing PC technology.

  • We examined the psychophysiological effects of navigation in a virtual reality (VR). Subjects were exposed to the VR, and required to detect specific objects. Ten electrophysiological signals were recorded before, during, and after navigation in the VR. Six questionnaires on the VR experience were acquired from 45 healthy subjects. There were significant changes between the VR period and the pre-VR control period in several psychophysiological measurements. During the VR period, eye blink, skin conductance level, and alpha frequency of EEG were decreased but gamma wave were increased. Physiological changes associated with cybersickness included increased heart rate, eye blink, skin conductance response, and gamma wave and decreased photoplethysmogram and skin temperature. These results suggest an attentional change during VR navigation and activation of the autonomic nervous system for cybersickness. These findings would enhance our understanding for the psychophysiological changes during VR navigation and cybersickness.

  • Frictional sound of 13 vapor permeable water repellent fabric by sound generator were recorded and analysed through FFT analysis. The frictional Sounds were quantified by calculating total sound pressure(LPT), the level range ΔL and the frequency difference Δf. Mechanical properties were measured by KES-FB. LPT values of specimens finished wet coating were higher than those of dry coating. Values for bending rigidity, shear stiffness, surface roughness and compressional recovery of polyurethane fabrics increased compared with the cire finished fabrics. Laminated fabrics had high values of frictional coefficient and low values of surface roughness. LPT showed significant correlation with compressional energy, weight and thickness. (ΔL) was highly correlated with compressional linearity, frictional coefficient, compressional recovery, and (Δf) with tensile linearity, compressional energy, thickness, and weight.

  • This paper studied the speech parameters less affected by the human emotion for the development of the robust speech recognition system. For this purpose, the effect of emotion on the speech recognition system and robust speech parameters of speech recognition system were studied using speech database containing various emotions. In this study, mel-cepstral coefficient, delta-cepstral coefficient, RASTA mel-cepstral coefficient and frequency warped mel-cepstral coefficient were used as feature parameters. And CMS (Cepstral Mean Subtraction) method were used as a signal bias removal technique. Experimental results showed that the HMM based speaker independent word recognizer using vocal tract length normalized mel-cepstral coefficient, its derivatives and CMS as a signal bias removal showed the best performance of 0.78% word error rate. This corresponds to about a 50% word error reduction as compare to the performance of baseline system using mel-cepstral coefficient, its derivatives and CMS.

  • We investigated the physiological patterns of cybersickness in a Virtual Reality(VR). Subject were exposed to the VR for 9.5 min, and required to detect specific virtual objects. Sixteen electrophysiological signals were recorded before, during, and after the virtual navigation. five questionnaires on the VR experience were acquired form 61 healthy subjects. During the virtual navigation, subjects with the high cybersickness susceptibility showed significant physiological changes, which included increased gastric tachyarrhythmia, eyeblink frequency, and EEG delta wave and decreased EEG beta wave. These results suggest that cybersickness may induce or accompany the changes in central nervous system and autonomic nervous system. Also, these results suggest that there may be increased sympathetic activation in autonomic drive for cybersickness.

  • This review will summarize EEG studies of learning and memory based on frequency bands including theta waves (4-7 Hz), gamma waves (> 30 Hz) and alpha waves (7-12 Hz). Authors searched and reviewed EEG papers especially focusing on learning and memory from PubMed. Theta waves are associated with acquisition of new information from stimuli. Gamma waves are connected with comparing and binding old information in preexisting memory and new information from stimuli. Alpha waves are linked with attention. Eventually it mediates the learning and memory process. Although EEG studies of learning and memory still have controversial issues, the future EEG studies will facilitate clinical benefits by virtue of more developed and encouraging prospects.

  • This study was carried out to evaluate human subjective sensation for fabric rustling sounds and predict the sensation with quantified sound color measurements and mechanical properties of fabrics. Thirty subjects at Virginia Tech were asked to evaluate seven sound sensation descriptors by semantic differential scale after hearing eight different fabric sounds. Sound measurements were quantified by calculating total sound pressure(LPT), level range(ΔL), and frequency difference (Δf). Mechanical properties of fabrics were measured by KES-FB. Subjective sensation for fabric sound showed significant differences among fabrics except clearness sensation. Subjective sensation predicted by sound measurements showed well fitted regression equation with ΔL and LPT> Sharpness, clearness, and highness were significantly released with mechanical properties of fabrics. All sensation was found to be predicted with sound measurements L:PT and Δf and mechanical properties such as LT, 2HG5, WC, T, and W.
