Effects of the Phase Noise in the Frequency Synthesizer on the SFH/M-NCFSK System (주파수 합성기의 위상 잡음이 SFH/M-NCFSK 시스템에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper newly analyzes the effect of the phase noise in the frequency synthesizer on the performance of SFH/M-NCFSK system by standard frequency deviation(equation omitted) when noncoherent FSK demodulation of the square-law detector is considered. We derive the SER in the SFH system and analyze the effect of phase noise on the SFH/M-NCFSK system performance according to the hopping frequency spacing (1/T$\_$h/) and the variation of the standard frequency deviation (equation omitted). The required SNR is about 13.4 dB to meet Ps=10$\^$-3/ when the standard frequency deviation is about 4.0 Hz and the hopping frequency spacing (1/T$\_$h/) in the SFH/2-NCFSK system is 30. So, there is about 2.4 dB power penalty than the phase noise-free system. If the hopping frequency spacing 1/T$\_$h/ is under 30, the error floor may happen and SER considerably grows up. We show that the analytic results closely match with the simulation results.

The Effect of Price Discount Frequency on Consumer Evaluation of Clothing Brand Equity (가격 할인 빈도가 소비자의 의류 상표자산평가에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • This paper explores the effects of price discount frequency on consumer evaluation of clothing brand equity as well as the impact on consumers who exhibit different consumer characteristics. Following a preliminary investigation, two clothing brand groups were identified according to the frequency of their price discounts, one with a high frequency of price discounts, the other with a low frequency. Each brand group consisted of three women's clothing brands. A questionnaire was developed and administered to 351 females between the ages of nineteen and thirty-four in October 2000. The questionnaire included questions on evaluations on clothing brand equity (i.e., perceived quality, brand image, perceived value, reliability and brand knowledge), on consumer characteristics (i.e., clothing knowledge, clothing evaluative criteria, price perception and demographic characteristics), as well as on price discount frequency. Statistical tests, such as factor analysis. t-test and pearson's correlation, were used to analyze the data. Results of this research showed that price discount frequency negatively impacted consumer perception of clothing brand equity. The negative influence was particularly strong on the perceived quality and brand image dimensions of brand equity. The findings also suggested the effect of price discount frequency on consumer assessment of clothing brand equity was related to consumer characteristics as well. The equity of the clothing brand group with a low frequency of price discounts was positively related to clothing knowledge, price-quality inference, price-prestige inference, sale prone-ness. price mavenism, valuing the fashionable and symbolic uses of clothing and family income. On the other hand, it was negatively related to low price consciousness. The equity of the clothing brand group with a high frequency of price discounts was positively related to utilitarian economic aspects of clothing values as well as to low price consciousness. To establish and maintain high brand equity, marketers must pay attention to the frequency of price discount as it may have a negative impact on clothing brand equity.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of self-actulization and demographic variables upon the selection of clothes among adult women. The Results of this research can be sumerized as follows; 1. Marital status has direct effect on the self-actualizing values, Marital status and houshold type have direct effect on the inner directed and self-regard traits. Marital status and monthly income have direct effect on a capacity for intimate contact. 2. Self-actualizing values and inner directed traits are directly related with individuality of clothing. Frequency of contact with massmedia, household type and employment have direct effect on the individuality of clothing. 3. Self-regard, self-actualizing values, school career and houshold type have direct effect on the conformity of clothing. 4. Self-actualizing values, capacity for intimate contact and frequency of contact with massmedia have direct effect on the fashionability of clothing.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of self-actualization and demographic variables of adult women on the modesty and aethetics in the selection of clothes. The qestionnaire were completed by 647 women in taegu and jinju. The major findings of this research can be summairzed as follows : 1. Marital status has effect on the self-actualizing values. religion, occupation and income have effect on self-acceptance. Marital staus and religion have effect on nature of man. 2. Frequency of contact with mass media has effect on the modesty of clothing. Self-actualization and demographic variables have no direct effect on the modesty of clothing. 3. Self-actualizing values, self-acceptance, nature of man, income, frequency of contact with mass media have direct effect on the aethetics of clothing.

Phonological phrase boundary and word frequency that influence the phonological word recognition (음운구 경계와 단어빈도가 한국어 음운단어 재인에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the interaction between phonological phrase boundary and word frequency variable in Korean speech processing. A word monitoring task was performed to examine the interference caused by the frequency effect of target word depending on whether a phonological phrase is formed within the target word. Frequency of target word (high vs low) and phonological phrase boundary (within target word vs between target words) were applied as between and within subject condition respectively. Our results showed the significant main effect of the phonological phrase boundary and the significant interaction. In the post-hoc analysis, the high-frequency target words were detected significantly faster than the low-frequency target words only in the within phonological phrase boundary condition. Frequency effect in the between phonological phrase boundary condition did not appear. The results indicated that the phonological phrase boundary and word frequency variable played an important role in Korean speech processing. In particular, we discussed the possibility of processing the word frequency at the very early sensory information processing stage based on the interaction of two experimental factors.

  • The interaction of extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELF-MF) on the frequency of micronuclei (MN) induced by benzo(a)pyrene (BP) in human lymphocytes was examined. A 60 Hz ELF-MF of 0.8 mT field strength was applied for 24 hours either alone or with the tumour initiator, BP. The frequency of MN induced by BP increased in a dose-dependent manner.(omitted)

Effect of Acupuncture and High Frequency Electroacupuncture at $ST_{39}$ on Intestinal Motility in Rats (하거허 유침 및 고주파 전침이 흰쥐의 장운동에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to observe the effect of acupuncture and high frequency electroacupuncture at $ST_{39}$ on intestinal motility in rats. Methods: We made over-activated state of intestinal motility with carbachol and suppressed state of intestinal motility with loperamide in rat and carried out needle retention acupuncture and high frequency electroacupuncture at $ST_{39}$ or sham point in rat divided into pre-treatment group and post-treatment group. We fed charcoal to them after the treatment and measured the travel rate of charcoal in the gastrointestinal tract to observe intestinal motility. Results : Examining intestinal motility of normal rat treated with needle retention acupuncture at $ST_{39}$ significantly suppressed intestinal motility. Pre-treatment of needle retention acupuncture significantly suppressed intestinal motility in rat which over-activated with carbachol. Pre-treatment and post-treatment of high frequency electroacupuncture significantly suppressed intestinal motility in rat which over-activated with carbachol. All of the pre-treatment and post-treatment of needle retention acupuncture, high frequency electroacupuncture showed no significant effect than control group on intestinal motility of rat which was suppressed with loperamide. Conclusions : These results suggest that acupuncture and high frequency electroacupuncture at $ST_{39}$ have preventive and therapeutic effects on over-activated intestinal motility, and high frequency electroacupuncture is more effective.

  • We stabilized the frequency and power of a CW radio-frequency-excited $CO_2$ laser on the peak of the Doppler broadened gain curve using the photoacoustic effect generated from the laser itself. The condenser microphone is installed in the radio frequency discharge chamber to detect a photoacoustic signal. The photoacoustic signal is fed to a lock-in stabilizer as a reference signal for stabilization. The frequency stability is estimated to be better then 5.4${\times}$10$^{-8}$ at the P(20) line. The stabilized output variation was reduced 9.3%, compared to 100% for a free running laser.

  • The channel parameters such as RMS delay spread and Doppler frequency have an effect on performance of system. This paper investigates the effect between the Inter-Code Interference (ICI) and the frequency diversity gain in the multi-rate MC-CDMA system. The multi-rate MC-CDMA system has achieved the more variable data rate than the MC-CDMA and moreover it has the better performance than the OFDMA system, because it has achieved the frquency diversity gain. However, the frequency diversity gain and ICI have a trade-off relationship by using the spreading code. Therefore, we have improved the system performance by efficient choice of system parameters. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the frequency diversify gain and the ICI effect, we perform simulations by altering the Doppler frequency and RMS delay spread.

  • Charge sensitivity and its frequency response characteristics were measured in poled and aged lead zirconate titanate(PZT) ceramics prepared by sintering. Aged PZT has lower charge sensitivity and lower mounted resonance frequency than just poled PZT.
