All CCD pixels do not react uniformly even if the light of same radiance enters into the camera. This comes from the different camera optical characteristics, the read-out characteristics, the pixel own characteristics and so on. Usually, the image data of satellite camera can be corrected by the various image-processing methods in the ground. However, sometimes, the in-orbit correction is needed to get the higher quality image. Especially high frequency pixel correction in the middle of in-orbit mission is needed because the in-orbit data compression with the high frequency loss is essential to transmit many data in real time due to the limited RF bandwidth. In this case, this high frequency correction can prevent have to have any unnecessary high frequency loss. This in-orbit correction can be done by the specific correction table, which consists of the gain and the offset correction value for each pixel. So, it is very important to get more accurate correction table for good correction results. This paper shows the new algorithm to get accurate pixel correction table. This algorithm shall be verified theoretically and also verified with the various simulation and the test results.

Usually, propagation attenuation of millimeter wave occurs by rainfall, snowfall, temperature, effect of pressure of air. In 60GHz wave band wireless communication network, temperature change becomes big factor of propagation loss department. Also, temperature change causes disturbance of 60GHz frequency at transceiver. In this study, we used 60GHz transceiver and found propagation loss of wireless path and operating frequency disturbance characteristics. In transceiver that there is no temperature compensated device, operating frequency of TX changed by 60.865GHz at temperature of $-5^{\circ}C$, and appeared by 60.730GHz when is $50^{\circ}C$. Therefore, operating frequency change width by temperature change are about 100MHz, greatly. But, in transceiver that there is temperature compensated device, operating frequency of TX changed by 60.830GHz at temperature of $-5^{\circ}C$, and appeared by 60.710GHz when is $50^{\circ}C$. Therefore, operating frequency change width by temperature change are about 20MHz. According to these result, we constructed between buildings examination wireless site for point to point wireless communication using 60GHz band transceivers who have do temperature compensated device, and investigated data transmission characteristics about ambient temperature change. Therefore, if use transceiver that have temperature compensated device, may overcome the wireless transmission error in 60GHz band wireless communication LAN networks despite of ambient temperature change.

Much numerical and experimental research has been done for the flow around an oscillating airfoil. The main research topics are vortex shedding, dynamic stall phenomenon, MAV's lift and thrust generation. Until now, researches mainly have been concentrated on analyzing the wake flow for the variation of frequency and amplitude at a low angle of attack. In this study, wake structures and acoustic wave propagation characteristics were studied for a plunging airfoil at high angle of attack. The governing equations are the Navier-Stokes equation with LES turbulence model. OHOC (Optimized High-Order Compact) scheme and 4th order Runge-Kutta method were used. The Mach number is 0.3, the Reynolds number is, and the angle of attack is from $20^{\circ}$ to $50^{\circ}$. The plunging frequency and the amplitude are from 0.05 to 0.15, and from 0.1 to 0.2, respectively. Due to the high resolution numerical method, wake vortex shedding and pressure wave propagation process, as well as the propagation characteristics of acoustic waves can be simulated. The results of frequency analysis show that the flow has the mixed characteristics of the forced plunging frequency and the vortex shedding frequency at high angle of attack.

The purpose of this study is to find out the change of statistical characteristics of typhoons affecting the Korean Peninsula. For this purpose, we analyzed the occurrence frequency of typhoon for 50 years (1954-2003) and change of air temperature and sea surface temperature near the Korean Peninsula in the same period. We classified typhoon tracks affecting the Korean Peninsula, and analyzed their trends and the amount of damage by typhoon. While the annual occurrence frequency of typhoon in the western North Pacific gradually decreased, its frequency affecting the Korean Peninsula increased. In addition, the occurrence location migrated northward. This coincides with the increase in air temperature and sea surface temperature around the Korean Peninsula. Typhoon tracks affecting the Korean Peninsula were classified into 7 types. Among them, the occurrence frequency of type 6 and 7 has increased. Although the occurrence frequency is low in type 2, the amount of damage by typhoon and occurrence frequency are increasing recently.

Compact fluorescent lamps are very sensitive to the variation of ambient temperature. This paper investigates the temperature characteristics of a 15[W] compact fluorescent lamp, and compensates the variation of light output by frequency control of its electronic ballast. Circuit parameters for the inverter of the electronic ballast are obtained by analyzing the R-L-C equivalent circuit for the inverter and the lamp. The optimum ratio of the two capacitance($C_1$/$C_2$), which are connected with the lamp in series and in parallel, respectively, is determined which consideration of the temperature variation within a range of 10~35[$^{\circ}C$]. As a result a value of 10 for the ratio is obtained at an operating frequency of 57[kHz], and with this value the frequency control works well for temperature compensation. Its validity is verified by investigating light output stabilization characteristics resulting from frequency control of the lamp at various temperatures.

Recently, various acoustic artifacts that contains speaker have been produced such as cellular phone. Speaker consists of diaphragm generating sound and coil vibrating diaphragm. Generally, good speaker means that it has a wide frequency range, high output power rate to input power and flat sound pressure level in specified frequency range. Acoustic characteristic was estimated through the experiment and computer simulation, or sound power was controlled with acoustic sensitivity in a natural frequency range fer last decade. However, the flatness of sound pressure level has not been considered to enhance the sound quality of a speaker. Tn this study, a method for speaker design is proposed for a good acoustic characteristic, which is flatness of SPL(sound pressure level) and wideness between the first and second natural frequency. SYSNOISE is used fer acoustic analysis and ANSYS is used for harmonic response analysis and modal analysis. Optimization for acoustic characteristics of a speaker diaphragm is performed using ModelCenter. All analyses are done within a frequency domain. And we confirm that the experimental and computational simulations have similar trend.
Wind tunnel testing of a low-rise building with openings (holes) of different sizes and shapes on a roof corner is conducted to measure the internal and external pressures from the building model. Detailed analysis of the testing data is carried out to investigate the characteristics of the internal and external pressures of the building with different openings' configurations. Superimposition of the internal and external pressures makes the emergence of positive net pressures on the roof. The internal pressures demonstrate an overall uniform distribution. The probability density function (PDF) of the internal pressures is close to the Gaussian distribution. Compared with the PDF of the external pressures, the non-Gaussian characteristics of the net pressures weakened. The internal pressures exhibit strong correlation in frequency domain. There appear two humps in the spectra of the internal pressures, which correspond to the Helmholtz frequency and vortex shedding frequency, respectively. But, the peak for the vortex shedding frequency is offset for the net pressures. Furthermore, the internal pressure characteristics indirectly reflect that the length of the front edge enhances the development of the conical vortices. The objective of this study aims to further understanding of the characteristics of internal, external and net pressures for low-rise buildings in an effort to reduce wind damages to residential buildings.
Many SMDs (surface mount device) are mounted and mutually connected on a PCB (printed circuit board). System performance degrades when their transmission characteristics are bad. Pads connecting a PCB and SMDs affects PCB transmission characteristics significantly, so pad should be properly aligned to optimize impedance matching. In this paper, effects on PCB transmission characteristics are simulated by pad alignment. When frequency is relatively low, pad alignment seldom affect PCB transmission characteristics, but it affects more and more when frequency or pad size becomes larger. Therefore, pad alignment should be carefully chosen based on target frequency and pad size. Especially, the proposed edge-aligned pad is generally more advantageous over the conventional centered-aligned pad in 12~16 GHz Ku-band frequency.

In this study, the amount and frequency characteristics of cloud cavitation formed on a navy ship rudder were investigated through cavitation image processing technique and cavitation noise analysis. A high-speed camera with high time resolution was used to observe the cavitation on a full-spade rudder. The deflection angle range of the full-spade rudder was set to 8 to 15 degrees so that cloud cavitation was generated on the rudder surface. For images taken at 104 fps (frame per second), reference values for detecting cavitation were defined and detected in Red, Green, Blue and Hue, Saturation, Lightness color spaces to quantitatively analyze the amount of cavitation. Intrinsic frequency characteristics of cloud cavitation were detected from the time series data of the amount of cavitation. The frequency characteristics of cloud cavitation obtained by using the image processing technique were found to be the same through the analysis of the noise signal measured by the hydrophone installed on the hull above the rudder, and its peak value was in the frequency band of 30~60Hz.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the frequency characteristics of forced vibration considering the vehicle progress. And the vibration characteristics in frequency domain that occur, when vehicle passes the bump, were analyzed. The responses such as displacement, velocity and acceleration were obtained through numerical analysis, and FFT processing was performed to analyze the frequency response function(FRF) characteristics. In particular, the location of vehicle eigenmodes and external excitation modes was clearly shown and analyzed. In the forced vibration model by external force, the behavior of the eigenmode in power spectrum and real and imaginary parts were also analyzed. The mode characteristics were also analyzed in each FRF. It was approximated by assuming total excitation force by considering the exciting frequency using impulse and sine wave forces, which can give the amplitude and frequencies. The response characteristics of forced oscillations having different mass, damping and stiffness have been systematically discussed.
