동결융해작용을 받는 부순모래 콘크리트의 수명예측 (The Service Life Prediction of Concrete with Crushed Sand in Condition of Freezing and Thawing)

  • In this study, we predicted the service life against the freezing and thawing. as a result, we found that in the case of using the low quality crushed sand with high water-cement ratio, there is the possibility of deterioration. but in any other case, we concluded that there is no chance to deteriorate if we have the required air contents by using AE agent. we are going to improve the method to evaluate more exactly the durability of the concrete with crushed sand by acquiring data from the specimen which are exposed to field for long time.

Arduino Sensor based on Traffic Safety System using Intelligence

  • In 2015, 100-car pileup was happened because the safe distance from the car in front did not be kept due to much fog at YoungJong Bridge in South Korea. This is why the road would be benumbed with cold weather in winter. For this weather condition, if the driver of the car in front changed the lane suddenly or suddenly slammed on the brake in fog or freezing area, the braking distance of the real car has to be 2 or 3 times longer than usual. In this paper, we have simulated the function that warns and notice about the fog area or the freezing one in the road using Arduino sensors and Beacon. Also we propose the intelligent traffic system to protect the accidents in winter.

내한촉진제를 사용한 한중콘크리트의 현장적용 (Application of Cold Weather Concrete using Accelerator for Freeze Protection)

  • When fresh concrete is exposed to low temperature, the concrete may suffer frost damage due to freezing at early ages and strength development may be delayed. One of the solution methods to resolve these problems is to lower freezing temperature of concrete by the use of chemical admixture called Accelerators for Freeze Protection. In this study, it was the results of appling cold weather concrete using Accelerator for Freeze Protection in the Daewoo Trump world field. Before the application of the cold weather concrete using accelerator for freeze protection, we executed the some test in the laboratory and mock-up test in the field. We examined the manifestation of compressive strength complying with the amount of Accelerators for Freeze Protection and curing conditions, and then made a selection of most suitable amount of Accelerators for Freeze Protection.

냉동생지 제조를 위한 냉동조건 탐색 (Study on the Freezing Conditions for the Frozen-Dough Preparation of Bread)

  • In order to investigate the optimal factors for frozen dough production, the freezing and thawing condition such as temperature and time, storage period and the effect of ingredient addition were determined. A pre-fermentation of dough at 30℃ for 120 minutes was appeared to be the best for the production of frozen dough. The dough was frozen at -18℃ and then stored for 7 days. The quality of frozen dough was found to be optimal when thawed at 30℃ for 80 minutes. As ingredient of frozen dough, an addition of 3% of yeast and 4% of butter was good as well as the addition of skim milk and sugar in terms of fermentation capacity after thawing.

  • Overhead contact systems (OCS) consist of contact and messenger wires, in which the contact wire supplies electric energy to the railway vehicle by contacting a pantograph. However, this mechanical contact is interrupted during frosts or temperatures below $0^{\circ}C$ in the winter. In these conditions, railway vehicle accidents can occur during operation because of the low energy efficiency that results from the increase in the arcing between the contact wire and pantograph. Therefore, the detection of frost or freezing temperatures is necessary to maintain the stable operation of these trains. In this study, we proposed the development of a frost or freezing condition monitoring system on the OCSs that utilizes wireless communication.

매설 냉각가스관의 동결-융해에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Investigation of Freezing and Thawing Process in Buried Chilled Gas Pipeline)

  • 지반의 동결-융해 과정에 의한 지반구조물의 거동 특성을 이해하기 위해서는 동결에 의한 지반의 상변화와 구조물과의 상호작용에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 동상 팽창 실험결과에 대한 역해석을 수행하여 얼음포화도에 따란 탄성계수 모델식을 제시하였다. 실트지반은 화강풍화토와 모래지반에 비하여 탄성계수가 얼음포화도에 대하여 매우 민감하고, 화강풍화토는 실트에 비하여 초기 포화도가 탄성계수에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 매설 냉각가스관에 대한 수치해석은 가스관 주변의 연중 동결 영역이 외부 동결하중에 대하여 shield 역할을 하여 추가적인 외력의 영향은 상대적으로 작은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 모래로 치환된 지반에 설치된 가스관은 주변 원지반(화강풍화토)과 치환 모래의 상대적인 탄성계수의 차이로 히빙량이 크게 나타나지만, 외부하중을 효과적으로 재분배하여 안정적인 응력상태에 도달함을 알 수 있다.

제주 흑우 동결 정액 제조에 있어 Glycerol의 농도에 따른 생존율 및 정자 첨체 양상의 변화 (Change of Sperm Viability and Acrosome Integrity of Post-thawed Korean Jeju Black Bull Spermatozoa according to Glycerol Concentration)

  • This study was carried out to establish most suitable freezing condition, to evaluate the different glycerol concentration of freezing and thawing rates on motility, viability, membrane integrity and acrosome intecrity of frozen Korean Jeju Black Bull spermatozoa, Semen was collected from a Korean Jeju Black Bull using an artificial vagina and transported to the laboratory. The semen was extended gradually 1:5 then cooled slowly for 2 hrs to 4$^{\circ}C$. The semen was diluted 1:1 with cryoprotectant extenders (3%, 5% and 7% glycerol) and equilibrated for 2 hrs at cold chamber and packed to 0.5 ml straws. The semen straws were located above 3 cm of liquid nitrogen for 5 minutes, above 5 cm for 10 min and above 8 cm for 10 min. And then the frozen straw was plunged into LN$_2$. The presented straws were examined the viability and motility after thawed at 37$^{\circ}C$ water bath. The viability and membrane integrity immediately post-thawing were significantly higher in samples frozen in 7% glycerol than 3% and 5% glycerol (p<0.05). After CTC staining to assess acrosome integrity, F pattern was significantly increased, but B pattern was significantly decreased in 7% glycerol (p<0.05). Freezing distance of 5 cm from liquid nitrogen and pre-cooling for 10 min yield better survival and membrane integrity, but not significant difference. However, AR pattern according to CTC staining was significantly decreased in 3 cm for 5 min.

극지 암석의 역학적 특성 분석에 관한 연구 동향 (Review of the Study on Mechanical Properties of Rock Under the Polar Climate Condition)

  • 극지는 학문적인 가치뿐만 아니라 무한한 자원의 공급처로서 각광받고 있는 추세이다. 극지와 극지 암석의 암석역학적 특성을 이해하기 위하여 남극대륙의 암석을 포함하여 극지 환경 조건에서 진행된 암석의 물성 변화에 관한 연구를 살펴보았다. 남극대륙은 바람이 매우 강하고 지구상에서 가장 기온이 낮으며 건조한 지역이다. 남극 현지 암석의 심도별 온도분포를 조사한 연구에서는 지표면과 가까운 얕은 심도에서는 동결-융해 과정이 반복되는 한편, 특정 깊이 이하에서는 항상 $0^{\circ}C$ 미만의 온도 분포를 나타내는 것으로 보고 하였다. 현지 암석의 온도분포와 대기 온도를 비교해 보았을 경우 상당한 차이를 나타내었다. 남극 사면의 기후에 의한 풍화정도를 알아보기 위하여 슈미트 반발경도와 taffoni의 분포를 조사한 연구가 있다. 그리고 실내 실험을 통해 암석 시료를 동결-융해 과정을 반복하여 풍화시킨 후 쇼어경도, 일축압축강도 등을 측정한 결과 동결-융해 횟수가 증가할수록 암석의 강도가 저하됨을 보고한 사례가 있다. 향후 극지암석에 대한 보다 상세한 암석역학적 물성 시험과 풍화에 관한 실내시험결과를 현장 암석의 물성변화에 적용시키는 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

냉매를 작동유체로 사용하는 태양열 난방시스템에 관한 연구 (A study on the solar assisted heating system with refrigerant as working fluid)

  • An experimental study was conducted to analyze performance of a heating system with variation of control logic of the system. The system uses a solar as heat source and composed with heat pump that uses R-22 as working fluid. The difference between the developed system and the commercially available heating system is working fluid. The solar assisted heating system which was widely distributed in the market uses water as a working fluid. It could be freezing in case of the temperature drops down under freezing point. The anti-freezing fluids such as methyl-alcohol or ethylene-glycol are mixed with the water to protect the freezing phenomena. However, the system developed in this study uses a refrigerant as a working fluid. It makes the system to run under zero degree temperature conditions. Another difference of the developed system compare with commercial available one is auxiliary heating method. The developed system has removed an auxiliary electric heater that has been used in conventional solar assisted heating system. Instead of the auxiliary electric heater, an air source heat exchanger which generally used as an evaporator of a heat pump was adapted as a backup heating device of the developed system. As results, an efficiency of the developed system is higher than a solar assisted heat pump with auxiliary electric heater. The merit of the developed system is on the performance increment when the system operates at a lower solar energy climate conditions. In case of the developed system operates at a normal condition, COP of the solar collector driven heat pump is higher than the air source heat exchanger driven heat pump's.

모듈러 도로시스템의 동결-융해에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on Freezing and Thawing Process in Modular Road System)

  • 지반의 동결-융해 과정에 의한 지반구조물의 거동 특성을 이해하기 위해서는 지반내 간극수의 상변화와 지반과 구조물의 상호작용에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 모듈러 도로시스템의 동결융해의 영향에 대한 수치해석적 연구를 수행하였다. Neumann의 동결-융해 이론식을 이용하여 기본 지반 물성치와 지중과 지표면의 온도조건에 대한 동결심도와 히빙량을 예측할 수 있으나, 지반의 완전포화 및 완전동결의 제한된 경우에만 적용할 수 있다. 동결지수에 따른 모듈러 도로시스템의 수치해석은 다양한 지반조건과 지하수위에 대하여 수행되었다. 동결 히빙량은 화강풍화토이나 모래지반에 비하여 실트질 지반에서 매우 크게 발생하였으며, 지하수위의 저하는 동결 히빙량을 감소시켰다. 실트질 지반에 설치된 도로시스템의 온도이력에 대한 수치해석은 지표면의 동결-융해 과정을 거치면서 지표면에 잔류히빙을 예측하였다. 이는 지반의 강성과 지지력을 급격하게 감소시켜 모듈화 도로시스템의 안정성과 사용성을 저해할 수 있다. 다만, 화강풍화토와 모래지반의 경우는 잔류 히빙량은 미비한 것으로 나타났다. 모듈러 도로시스템은 기존 도로포장 시스템과 달리 지지구조 상부에 설치된 포장 구조물이므로, 포장 구조물의 균등 연직변위와 부등 변형에 대한 엄격한 기준이 적용되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.
