  • Graft copolymerized polycarboxylate(PC)-type superplasticizers(PCs) which have carboxylic acid with $\pi$ bond among the molecular structure and polyethyleneglycol methyl ether methacrylate(PMEM) were synthesized by free radical reaction and investigated the chemical structure, polymerization condition, and physical and chemical properties. Also, the effects of PCs in the dispersion, adsorption and hydration of cement were evaluated. As the molecular weight of graft chain decreases, the adsorption amount on cement particles increased. It was advantageous for the flow to reduce molar ratio, the lower the side bone molecular weight, and increase the molar ratio, the larger the side bone molecular weight. The hydration reaction speed was highly delayed at day 1, due to increase in molar ratio and reduction in side bone molecular weight, but it was recovered in the days after.

  • Theoretical and numerical studies are given to the sink flows within a rotating circular tank driven by the fluid withdrawal from a bottom circular hole. It was found that, when the upper free surface was set with no-slip boundary conditions, the Ekman boundary-layer develops not only above the bottom surface but under the top surface. The sink fluid is coming from the two Ekman layers, and the mass transfer from the bulk, inviscid region is dependent on the rotational speed. It is also remarkable to see that all the fluid gathered along the axis flows in a form of rapidly rotating fluid column haying almost the same diameter as the bottom hole.

  • Automatic automobile has been studied as the alternative energy system and the production flow automation device recently. But this is dependent on the import production, and its position cannot be controlled free from the fixed path. It is difficult to control the automobile position because of the eccentricity of inertia monent, slip and roughness between wheel and road surface. This problems is solved for the controller to be feedbacked the data of the multi-sensor system consisting of the rotary encoder and electronic compass. The proportional Integrated controller in the modified Ziegler-Nichols method is made up with Hitachi 7034 microprocessor. To the real time control the mechanical, electrical and electronic hardware and software device is produced by myself. The RF data of automobile speed and position is supplied to the remote PC to be displayed the automobile condition. By the experinent of the forward, spin, point path planning, it is known for autombile.

  • The propagation of impact wave induced by landslide and debris flow occurred on the slope of lake, reservoir and bays is a three-dimensional natural phenomenon associated with strong interaction of debris flow and water flow in complex geometrical environments. We carried out 3D numerical modeling of such impact wave in a bay using a multiphase turbulence flow model and a rheology model for non-Newtonian debris flow. Numerical results are compared with previous experimental result to evaluate the performance of present numerical approach. The results underscore that the reasonable predictions of both thickness and speed of debris flow head penetrating below the water surface are crucial to accurately reproduce the maximum peak height and free surface profiles of impact wave. Two predictions computed using different initial debris flow thicknesses become different from the instant when the peaks of impact waves fall due to the gravity. Numerical modeling using relatively thick initial debris flow thickness appears to well reproduce the water surface profile of impact wave propagating across the bay as well as wave run-up on the opposite slope. The results show that the maximum run-up height on the opposite slope is not sensitive to the initial thickness of debris flows of same total volume. Meanwhile, appropriate rheology model for debris flow consisting of inviscid particle only should be employed to more accurately reproduce the debris flow propagating along the channel bottom.

  • Helical-coil steam generator (HCSG) technology is a major design candidate for small modular reactors due to its compactness and capability to produce superheated steam with high generation efficiency. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of the passively autonomous power maneuvering by coupling the 3-D transient multi-physics of a soluble-boron-free (SBF) core with a time-dependent HCSG model. The predictor corrector quasi-static method was used to reduce the cost of the transient 3-D neutronic solution. In the numerical system simulations, the feedwater flow rate to the secondary of the HCSGs is adjusted to extract the demanded power from the primary loop. This varies the coolant temperature at the inlet of the SBF core, which governs the passively autonomous power maneuvering due to the strongly negative coolant reactivity feedback. Here, we simulate a 100-50-100 load-follow operation with a 5%/minute power ramping speed to investigate the feasibility of the passively autonomous load-follow in a 450 MWth SBF PWR. In addition, the passively autonomous frequency control operation is investigated. The various system models are coupled, and they are solved by an in-house Fortran-95 code. The results of this work demonstrate constant steam temperature in the secondary side and limited variation of the primary coolant temperature. Meanwhile, the variations of the core axial shape index and the core power peaking are sufficiently small.

  • Motivated by the high-resolution properties of high-order Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory (WENO) and flux limiter (FL) for steep-gradient problems and the robust convergence of Jacobian-free Newton-Krylov (JFNK) methods for nonlinear systems, the preconditioned JFNK fully implicit high-order WENO and FL schemes are proposed to solve the transient two-phase two-fluid models. Specially, the second-order fully-implicit BDF2 is used for the temporal operator and then the third-order WENO schemes and various flux limiters can be adopted to discrete the spatial operator. For the sake of the generalization of the finite-difference-based preconditioning acceleration methods and the excellent convergence to solve the complicated and various operational conditions, the random vector instead of the initial condition is skillfully chosen as the solving variables to obtain better sparsity pattern or more positions of non-zero elements in this paper. Finally, the WENO_JFNK and FL_JFNK codes are developed and then the two-phase steep-gradient problem, phase appearance/disappearance problem, U-tube problem and linear advection problem are tested to analyze the convergence, computational cost and efficiency in detailed. Numerical results show that WENO_JFNK and FL_JFNK can significantly reduce numerical diffusion and obtain better solutions than traditional methods. WENO_JFNK gives more stable and accurate solutions than FL_JFNK for the test problems and the proposed finite-difference-based preconditioning acceleration methods based on the random vector can significantly improve the convergence speed and efficiency.

  • The effects of free surface and a strut on the lifting characteristics on a fin attached at the mid-chord of the strut are investigated experimentally in a circulating water channel. Variation of lift force on the fin is investigated with respect to free stream velocity(V), angle of attack of the fin(${\alpha}$) and ratio of the submergence depth of the fin to the chord of the fin(H/C). Attentions are focused on the lifting characteristics of the fin at shallow depths of submergence. Visualization of the free surface deformation along the strut and of the streamline about the fin is made in order to examine the inflow angle to the fin. Lift force on the fin alone i.e. in absence of the strut is also measured to investigate the difference in lifting characteristics of the fin caused by the strut. The results show that lift forces over the fin are largely affected by a free surface in the case of small submergence ratios(HiC<3.0). For HiC>5.0, the effects of the free surface are negligibly small. The inflow angle to the fin is significantly influenced by the strut and flow speed at the shallow depths of submergence. The deformation of the free surface is largely governed by the waves generated by the strut. However, for small submergence depths, the effects of the fin are found also significant.

  • This study provides a method and data for predicting the flight initiation wind speed of wind-borne debris. From the force equilibrium acting on debris including aerodynamic and inertia forces, the equation for predicting the flight initiation wind speeds are presented. Wind tunnel tests were carried out to provide necessary aerodynamic data in the equation for the debris with various aspect ratios. The proposed equation for flight initiation wind speeds was validated from free flying tests in the wind tunnel. The flights of debris were mostly initiated by slip when width to thickness was less than 10, otherwise overturning were dominant. The actual flight initiation speeds were lower than that of the computed ones. The surface boundary layer flow and the gap between the debris and surface might affect the prediction error.

  • Expressway is the main link in promoting the national economic development, which plays a vital part in improving the regional economy and people's living standards, therefore, it is of great significance to accelerate the construction of expressways. However, because it is difficult for the existing system to identify the information of special vehicles quickly, leading to the cumbersome flow of special vehicles passing through the toll station of expressways [1], which brings a certain burden to the work of expressway administrators. The surge in the number of private cars also increased the traffic pressure of toll stations, especially the free expressways traffic policy implemented by the State during holidays, resulting in more frequent traffic jams at high-speed intersections. According to this situation, a intelligent system was created to ameliorate the difficult situation of special vehicle identification on expressways, reduce the congestion at high-speed intersections, and improve the efficiency of staff by data-based means.
