Lonicera japonica is widely distributed in Southeast Asia and has been traditionally used as an anti - inflammatory, diuretic, abscessic, antipyretic, and antidotic agent. Lonicera japonica was investigated for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects using several in vivo models. SKLJI was purified for i.v. injection from Lonicera japonica as a potent anti-inflammatory and analgesic fraction, after activity-guided fractionation study. (omitted)

This paper deals with modeling and simulation of an industrial benzene-toluene-xylene plant. Because the fractionation unit of benzene-toluene-xylene plant has a narrow range of boiling point and doesn't have any sidecut and side reboiler, we employed boiling point estimation method in the modeling and simulation of the plant. Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation was used in the computation of thermodynamical properties. We solved resulting nonlinear equations by using Newton-Raphson method which is known to show fast convergence. Results of simulation showed good agreement with actual plant operation data.

Lectin from mistletoe(Viscum coloratum) fermented by Lactobacillus plantarum for 1,2,3 days were obtained by salt fractionation, gel filtration, anion exchange chromatography and SDS-PAGE, and compared with the lectin from unfermented mistletoe. The new lectin of molecular weight of about 18,500D from fermented mistletoe was identified.

A stereoselective and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography using fluoresecence deterctor was examined for the determination of R(-) and S(+)-salbutamol in human plasma. Solid phase extraction method using silica as sorbent was used to extract salbutamol racemates from the plasma matrices. After fractionation and freeze-drying of the eluates containing salbutamol racemates, they were separated and quantified on a chirla stationary column. The detection limit of each enantiomer was 2 ng/ml in human plasma (S/N=3).

99.9% 이상의 고순도 산소를 대량으로 생산하기 위하여는 주로 냉동 증류(cryogenic fractionation)가 사용된다[1]. 그러나 의료 분야를 비롯하여 소량의 산소를 필요로 하는 많은 분야에서 요구되는 산소의 순도는 40-90% 범위에 있다[2,3]. 이 정도 등급의 산소의 공급은 PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption)과 MP(Membrane Permeation)의 공정에 의존하게 될 가능성이 크다[4,6]. 이는 이 공정들이 작은 규모의 생산에 적합할 뿐만 아니라 조업이 용이하고, 유지비가 적게 들며 장치의 재배치가 용이하기 때문이다.

Typically, closed production system units are subject to an accumulation of fine suspended solids and dissolved organics (Weeks et at., 1992). Foam fractionation process is believed to be most effective in marine application for solids removal. In present experiment, the performance of foam fractionator for removal of solids, protein, and other dissolved materials was evaluated at different foam overflow heights and air flow rates in a pilot-scale recirculating aquaculture system for culture of Korean rockfish. To evaluate anticaries and antiinflammation of Aloe vera peel, antimicrobial substances were extracted from Aloe vera peel and identified. The antimicrobial active substances of water extract were successfully purified with solvent fractionation, silica gel column chromatography, preparative thin layer chromatography and UV spectrophotometer. Two purified active substances were identified as aloe-emodin and barbaloin by Mass Spectrometer, 1H-NMR and FT-IR.

The main regularities of the process of strain of the leafstalk boimass of the annual and parennial sown grasses (hard phase) with the simulataneous filtration of the vegetable juice (liquid phase) in the working members of the uninterrupted action(screw press) and the periodic action (Briqueting stamp press) were established . The engineering methods of calculation of the basic constructive -technological parameter of the pres equipment of the given types were worked out.
