The shale gas is emerging as one of the oil and gas resources which can replace the traditional oil and gas resources. As the shale layer where the shale gas is deposited has low permeability, the hydrofracturing method is required to improve the productivity. This study is designed to conduct the laboratory hydrofracturing test on the samples which are modeled after the drilling hole having the general drilling hole and spiral groove. And compare the initial fracturing pressure and fluid contact between them in order to the result of the hydrofracturing depending on the shape of the drilling hole. In addition, the results were compared with the numerical modeling values from 3DEC and they were also compared with the data from the advance researches. It was found from the study that rather than the contact area of the high pressures water, the force concentration depending on the form of guide hole was more effective in the hydrofracturing.

Injection visualization of heated mixed simulant droplets based on hydrocarbon fuel was performed under supercritical state environment. Mixed simulant consisted of Decane and Methylcyclohexane with different critical pressure and critical temperature. Flows injected into the supercritical state environment created droplet by Rayleigh breakup mechanism, and the Oh number and Re number were determined to confirm the breakup area. The temperature of the mixed simulant varied from Tr=0.49 to Tr=1.34. The flow rate was maintained at 0.7 to 0.8 g/s. Droplet became shorter in breakup length as heated and into a lumped form. Second droplet was formed and when Tr=1.34, the phase was not visible in the supercritical state with local unsteady flow.

A pivotal mechanical balance of plant for 75kW class molten carbonate fuel cells comprise of a catalytic burner and an ejector which has been designed and tested in KEPRI(Korea Electric Power Research Institute). The catalytic burner, which oxidizes residual fuel in the anode tail gas, was operated at several conditions. Some problems arose due to local overheating or auto-ignition, which could limit the catalyst life. The catalytic burner was designed by considering both gas mixing and gas velocity. Test results showed that the temperature distribution is very uniform. In addition, an ejector is a fluid machinery to be utilized for mixing fluids, maintaining vacuum, and transporting them. The ejector is placed at mixing point between the anode off gas and the cathode off gas or the fresh air Several ejectors were designed and tested to form a suction on the fuel tail gas and balance the differential pressures between anode and cathode over a range of operating conditions. The tests showed that the design of the nozzle and throat played an important role in balancing the anode tail and cathode inlet gas pressures. The 75kW MCFC system built in our ejector and catalytic burner was successfully operated from Novembe, 2008 to April, 2009. It recorded the voltage of 104V at the current of 754A and reached the maximum generating power of 78.5kW DC. The results for both stand-alone and integration into another balance of plant are discussed.
In magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT), a current-injection MR imaging method is adopted to produce a cross-sectional image of an electrical conductivity distribution in addition to MR images. The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of MREIT for differentiating the canine lung parenchyma without and with pneumonia. Three normal healthy beagles and two mixed breed dogs with pneumonia were used. After attaching electrodes around the chest, we placed the dog inside our MR scanner. We injected as much as 30 mA current in a form of short pulses into the chest region. Reconstructed conductivity images of normal canine lungs exhibit a peculiar pattern of a relatively coarse salt and pepper noise. On the contrary, conductivity images of pneumonic canine lungs show significantly enhanced contrast of the lesions while the corresponding MR images show a little bit of contrast in the middle and caudal lung parenchyma due to the accumulation of pleural fluid. This preliminary study indicates that MREIT imaging of the chest may deliver unique new diagnostic information.

Nano composite materials were multi-constituent combinations of nano dimensional phases with distinct differences in structure, chemistry and properties. Nano particles were less likely to create large stress concentrations and thereby can avoid the compromise of the material ductility while improve other mechanical properties. Corona discharge was an electrical discharge. The ionization of a fluid surrounding a conductor was electrically energized. This discharge would occur when the strength of the electric field around the conductor was high enough to form a conductive region, but not high enough to cause electrical breakdown or arcing to nearby objects. This paper shows all the studies done on the preparation of nano fillers. Special attention has given to the ACSR transmission line conductor, TiO2 nano fillers and also to the evaluation of corona resistance on dielectric materials discussed in detail. The measurement of the dielectric properties of the nano fillers and the parameters influencing them were also discussed in the paper. Corona discharge test reveals that in 0%N ACSR sample corona loss was directly proportional to the applied line voltage. No significant change in corona loss between 0%N and 1%N. When TiO2 nano filler concentration was increased up to 10%N fine decrement in corona loss was found when compared to base ACSR conductor, corona loss was decreased by 40.67% in 10%N ACSR sample. It was also found from the surface conditions test that inorganic TiO2 nano filler increases the key parameters like tensile strength and erosion depth.
The development of digital media made the change of architectural paradigm from tectonic to the surface and pattern. This means the transition to the new kind of materiality and the resurrection of ornament. This study started as an aim to apply biological pattern to architectural design from the new perception of pattern. Architectural patterns in the early era appeared as ladders, steps, chains, trees, vortices. But since 21st century, we can find patterns in nature like atoms and molecular structures, fluid forms of dynamics and new geometrical pattern like fractal and first of all biological patterns like viruses and micro-organisms, Voronoi cells, DNA structure, rhizomes and various hybrids and permutations of these. Pattern became one of the most important elements and themes of contemporary architecture through the change of materiality and resurrection of ornament with the new perception of surface in architecture. One of the patterns that give new creative availability to the architectural design is biological pattern which is self-organized as an optimum form through interaction with environment. Biological patterns emerge mostly as self-replicating patterns through morphogenesis, certain geometrical patterns(in particular triangles, pentagons, hexagons and spirals). The architectural application methods of biological patterns are direct figural pattern of organism, circle pattern, polygon pattern, energy-material control pattern, differentiation pattern, parametric pattern, growth principle pattern, evolutionary ecologic pattern. These patterns can be utilized as practical architectural patterns through the use of computer programs as morphogenetic programs like L-system, MoSS program and genetic algorithm programs like Grasshoper, Generative Components with the help of computing technology like mapping and scripting.
An in vitro study was conducted to examine the effect of sources and the addition levels of carbohydrates on fermentation characteristics, bacterial growth, and hydrogenation of linoleic acid ($C_{18:2}$) by mixed ruminal bacteria. Starch and cellobiose were added to the 200 ml non-selective basal media at the levels of 0.20 and 0.35% (w/v), respectively. Linoleic acid (66.8~79.6 mg) in the absorbed form into the pieces of nylon cloth was also added to the media of 5 treatments including control which was not added with carbohydrate. Three mls of rumen fluid strained through 12 layers of cheese cloth were added to each medium, and were incubated anaerobically in the shaking incubator of $39^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. During 24 h incubation the pH in incubation media of all treatments was maintained above 6.6 by the addition of sodium bicarbonate. The pH and ammonia concentration of incubation media were not clearly influenced by the sources and addition levels of carbohydrates while additions of carbohydrates increased (p<0.0001) VFA concentration at the 24 h incubation. Molar proportions of acetate were reduced (p<0.0004) while those of propionate were increased (p<0.0006) by the addition of carbohydrates. But the differences in concentration and molar proportions of the VFA were small between the sources or the addition levels. Bacterial growth was faster (p<0.0004) in the starch added treatments than in the cellobiose added ones and control, but no differences were found between addition levels. Increased (p<0.0487) hydrogenation was observed from the starch added treatments compared to the cellobiose added ones, but there was no difference between addition levels.
1. Objectives This study was performed to find the activities and characteristics of purified thrombolytic enzymes from Holotrichia extracts. 2. Methods In the first time, a coarse enzyme fluid was made by using the freedried Holotrichia extracts. After manufacturing total soluble proteins and purifing enzymes, it was evauluated the activities and characteristics of this enzyme's dissolving capability to fibrin and thrombus. This study was taken using azocasein assay, fibrin-plate method, native-PAGE and fibrin zymography. 3. Results A soluble proteins were efficiently extracted form freezedried Holotrichia extracts. And, this purified enzyme had a ten times fibrinolytic capability compare with ustulation Holotrichia sample. In native PAGE and fibrin zymography, Holotrichia extracts showed the respectable fibrinolytic activity. Also, It had higher thrombolytic activities compared with general thrombolytic enzyme 'plasmin'. In experiment of various protease inhibitors of the purified enzyme from Holotrichia extracts on the azocaseinolytic activity, the enzyme was strongly inhibited by EDTA ${\cdot}$ EGTA, and weakly by APMSF ${\cdot}$ PMSF ${\cdot}$ TPCK. 4. Conclusion Holotrichia extracts has the thrombolytic activities, and it will operate directly th fibrin-clot and thrombus.

Bioactive glass powders were synthesized by hydrothermal chemical route by the use of ultrasonic energy irradiation. We used sodalime, calcium nitrate tetra hydrate and di ammonium hydrogen phosphate as the precursor material to synthesize $SiO_2$ rich bio-active glass materials. The $SiO_2$ content was varied in the precursor mixture to 60, 52 and 45 mole%. Dense compacts were obtained by microwave sintering at $1,100^{\circ}C$. Mechanical properties were characterized for the fabricated dense bioactive glasses and were found to be comparable with conventional CaO-$SiO_2$-$Na_2O$-$P_2O_5$ bioactive glass. Detailed biocompatibility evaluation of the glass composition was investigated by in-vitro culture of MG-63 cell and mesenchyme stem cell. Cell adhesion behavior was investigated for both of the cell by one cell morphology for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Cell proliferation behavior was investigated by culturing both of the cells for 1, 3 and 7 days and was found to be excellent. Both SEM and confocal laser scanning microscopy were used for the investigation. Western blot analysis was performed to evaluate the bimolecular level interaction and extent and rate of specific protein expression. The ability to form biological apatite in physiological condition was observed with simulated body fluid (SBF). In-vivo bone formation behavior was investigated after implanting the materials inside rabbit femur for 1 and 3 month. The bone formation behavior was excellent in all the bioglass compositions, specially the composition with 60% $SiO_2$ content showed most promising trend.
The small type piroplasma which is known to be prevailing in Korean cattle was injected to un-susceptible hosts such as mice, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, fowls and developing chicken eggs by i.v., i.p, and intra C.A.M. routes, and its morphological development in each animal species was observed. 1. The small type piroplasma of cattle did not produce any pathogenicity in the experimental animals such as mice, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, fowls and developing chicken embryos. However, only a partial sign for developing cycle of the organism was observed in the peritoneal fluid. The schizogony of protozoa was not detected in any organs of the inoculated animals. 2. In the animals inoculated, the parasites of I-III types, relative to the process of time in the host, have changed their shapes into IV-VI types and then VI-X types however, the type X was not restored to the type I. In guinea pigs, more grape type was detected then X type in number, and in process of time, the shape was changed from round to elliptic, and the pointed end of the organism appeared in flesh color. 3. None of the organisms were found from the blood stream of inoculated animals excepts only a few piroplasma as were found in the experimental mice shortly after inoculation or i.v. route, No protozoa was also found in the organs of the animals autopsied. 4. The form change of protozoa was more clear in these animals than that in susceptible host. The most piroplasmas have changed their forms into VI-X types 30 hours after inoculation and were dispersed from R.B.C. Tracing of piroplasrna beyond this stage was not attempted. 5. The small type piroplasma comprises in I. X types and it is further believed that VII-X types which were freed from one cell proceeded to invade others. The from of development resembles to the small type of piroplasma which is prevailing in Japan.
