The purpose of this study is to suggest the use of modular construction method in order to promote the dissemination of the Health Life Support Center of the government, and to suggest the modular unitification and modularization plan for the necessary space data in the initial stage. By analyzing the floor plans of the 50 case projects currently in operation, the 28 required spaces and their spatial proximities are determined. Base on spatial proximities, each space is unitificated into a modular unit and modularized into a modular modules were integrated to modular proposals. As a result of this study, 13 unitificated modular unit floor planes and 3 modularized module floor planes including the staircase unit were proposed. However, future study have needed to study how to apply them to different actual sites and how to reduce cost.

In 2020, it was estimated that more than 2.4 million households in South Korea are over 30 years old. That is, more than 40% of all houses in Korea are old and that they require proper rehabilitation. The two options to improve poor living conditions are reconstruction and remodeling. Compared to reconstruction, remodeling has advantages in terms of the construction period, cost, and environmental impact. As such, the current Korean regulations are more favorable for remodeling than reconstruction. Typically, several candidate floor plans are presented in the early stages of an apartment remodeling project. Extracting information about bearing walls and other structural elements from the multiple plans to compare those plans quantitatively is one of the essential tasks during the early stage of a project. To cope with this task, an automated data extraction method for walls and slabs from before and after remodeling plans is developed. Through the developed program, load-bearing walls, non-bearing walls, slabs, and weight changes after remodeling can be analyzed and visualized in a fast and automated manner.

In this paper, the problems and betterment plan in operating district units plan are studied by selecting typal case locations based on the types of district units plan of the city of Busan. According to the types, 4 locations of 'type of maintaining preexisting district' and 3 of 'type of managing preexisting district' are selected as case locations, based on a scale and characteristics of each location. In systematical aspects of the case locations, indiscreet upward adjustment of the locations, insignificant participation of the citizens and patternization were recognized as problems. And setting accurate standards for target and range of alteration in line with usage plan of the locations would be necessarily urgent. So through the analysing process of the problems arisen from the case locations I would suggests necessary solutions to improve the effectiveness of the district units plan. And In planning aspects, the similarity between the basic directions and the object, batch-application of the density plan, inadequacy of the usage plan, allocations and patterns of structures, and color planning were recognized to have problematic points. Consequently distinguished specific operating-guidelines would be necessary to achieve the basic directions and the object of district units plan. Furthermore, the building-to-land ratio and floor space index are needed to be exactly calculated through providing accurate and logical standards for appropriate development density of structures.
Before occupation of an apartment housing, the builders are required to inform the test result of IAQ to the public. However, there is no simplified method to predict IAQ before measurement of pollutant concentration. In this study, a simplified way of predicting IAQ based on the distribution of indoor pollutant concentration is proposed. 7 different cases of air change rate have been simulated through CFD analysis to get the distribution ratio of each pollutant material and then simplified functions were used with CRIAQ1 values derived from CFD simulation to evaluate by comparing the influence of each material in the indoor pollutant concentration. Again, a lot of efforts which can improve the indoor air quality have been performed. Materials used in indoor space are labeled with their pollutant emission level. Installation of ventilation system in residential buildings will be regulated by a building codes sooner or later. But it is important to understand the fact that layout of walls, location or size of openings will influence the indoor air flow and pollutant concentration. And location of emitting material influences to indoor air pollutants distribution. But until now there is few recognition and consideration of these factors. Therefore, in this paper the effects of these factors is proved and some kind of guideline is made for designers after a comparison of typical apartment floor plan and a new type plan with their average pollutant concentration and its distribution of each room. CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) program was used to show the indoor air flow and pollutant concentration distribution. For this purpose, a typical $100m^2$ apartment floor plan was chosen as a case study model and several alternatives were reviewed to improve the IAQ performance. The simulation took place in the condition of natural ventilation through windows.

This study aims to research the characteristics of space composition and location for the rural community center. The phenomenon of urban areas from rural areas by the dismantlement of the community is being increasingly deepened. The current village welfare center in the rural villages of the dismantlement phenomenon of the community in rural areas can not be solved alone. The location of the Community Center in rural villages for the interaction of existing local inhabitants and should be located where possible near existing villages. This thesis studies and analyzes the characteristics of rural villages in the rural new town project districts. The basic function of the community center space analysis model is the Public service space, the Communication space, the Health space, the Amenity space, the Education space(including the childcare). This study analyze the local characterristics, the location type and the floor plan characteristics about the Community Center in rural villages by the rural new town example project.

This study has the purpose a remodeling plan of apartment complexes in residential areas. Based on the analysis on characteristics of circumstance surrounding it and economic gains for the residents who live in the apartments, this study suggests a concrete model to accomplish the purpose. The apartment in Nowon-gu was studied and some apartments which have same characteristics with the target of remodeling plan were interviewed and answered the questionnaire. To grasp the functions required and planning factors of apartment's remodeling, the questionnaire focused on the residents' request in each levels of their own entire hosing complex, just a building in the hosing complex area, and their own household. The conclusion is, (1) The major problems of common apartment complexes were serious aging, insufficient everyday life facilities and high rate of the residents' dissatisfaction. (2) The study suggests remodeling plans of an apartment complexes in each levels of their own entire hosing complex, just a building in the hosing complex area, and their own household, such as, underground parking area, tree-planting of first and top areas, improvement of a housing floor plan, a view of the front side, and so on.
The purpose of this study was (1) to investigate changes in house and kitchen forms and behaviors in the kitchen area of Korean family houses from the Yi-dynasty to the present, and (2) to develop a housing conceptual framework on the basis of the ecosystem approach through analysis of changes in Korean family houses. The documentary research method wad used fro this study. The major findings were that the traditional Korean houses were composed of separate buildings and had various floor levels with the maru(a wooden floor) as the center of the open plan. The introduction of foreign style house forms from the era of enlightenment, in the year 1876 to the Korean war in 1950 changed traditional Korean houses into Korean-western style houses. More recent increased population and urbanization accelerated to change from the traditional Korean house form to an apartment style. At the present time, however, many kinds of house forms, from a highly modernized style with convenient facilities to a primitive style, which cannot even meet the basis needs of daily life, coexist together. The Kitchens in traditional Korean houses had no plumbing, drainage, or work centers. They had simple adobe furnaces which were used for cooking and for heating the ondol, a kind of panel heated floor by which the heat and smoke run under the floor to the chimney. This made the kitchen floor level lower than the floors of other spaces. The residents entered the kitchen through the madang(atrium). The influence of the western style kitchen, the development of technology, and improvements of nation-wide economic status have made today's kitchen space covenient and hygienic. The floor level of the kitchen was raised to the same level of other spaces. Formerly the major function of the kitchen was raised to the same level of other spaces. Formerly the major function of the kitchen space was cooking and heating floors. This had changed, and the kitchen is now, the place for family and social interaction. A housing conceptual framework was developed on the basis of these findings.

The purpose of this paper is to analysis on periodical changes of rural houses of Korean-Chinese people residing in Yanbian area, China focused on periodical changes of floor plans according to Chinese government's policies and regulations influencing on rural houses. Changes of floor plans are classified into four periods; immigrating settled period, 1960-1970s, 1980-1990s, and after 2000. Total number of 67 cases were analyzed that data was collected 48 cases of literature studies and 19 cases of field study in Yanbian, China. The results are as followings. In immigrating settled period, floor plans of the rural houses have tended to be continued the pattern of the Korean traditional rural houses. Nevertheless China was changed socialism system, rarely floor plans were influenced by the system during this period. From 1960s to 1970s, the livestock and rural mechanization are influenced by the "People's Commune" policy. The "Barn" and "Mill" were converted into "warehouse". The residential part consists of one Jeongji (space mixed dinning and kitchen) and one to three of Ondolbang (room). From 1980s to 1990s influenced by the policies of "Cultural Revolution", "Birth Control" and "Chinese Economic Reform", the Korean traditional customs like "elders first" and "distinction between the male and female have been gradually vanished. Meanwhile, spaces of the rural houses have consisted of Jeongji, big Utppang (room), and warehouse. Each space is opened and mutual. Since 2000, influenced by the policy of a "new Socialist Countryside Construction", the bathroom and kitchen are added in interior spaces, the life style in rural houses has been changed as for both the sedentary style and western style.
