  • In general, post tensioned (PT) flat plate slab systems have been used as a Gravity Load Resisting System (GLRS) in buildings. Thus, these systems should be constructed with Lateral Force Resisting Systems (LFRS) such as shear walls and moment resisting frames. When lateral loads such as winds or earthquakes occur, lateral load resisting systems undergo displacement by which connected gravity systems experience lateral displacement. Therefore, GLRS should have some lateral displacement capacity in order to hold gravity loads under severe earthquakes and winds. Since there are the limited number of researches on PT flat plate slab systems, the behavior of the systems have not been well defined. This study investigated the cyclic behavior of post tensioned flat plate slab systems. For this purpose, an experimental test was carried out using 4 interior PT flat plate slab-column specimens. All specimens have bottom reinforcement in the slab around the slab-column connection. Test variables of this experimental study are vertical load level and tendon distribution patterns.

충돌공기제트시스템에서 직삼각형로드에 의한 열전달특성 (Heat Transfer Characteristics by the Right Angled Triangle Rod Array in Impinging Air Jet System)

  • This experimental study was carried out to examine the heat transfer characteristics of impinging air jet on a flat plate with a set of right angled triangle rods. Each right angled triangle rod in the array was positioned normal to the flow direction and parallel to the flat plate surface. The clearances from a right angled triangle rod to flat plate surface (C=1, 2 and 4 mm) and the distance from nozzle exit to flat plate (H=100 and 500 mm) were changed for the pitch between each right angled triangle rods (P=40 mm). As a result, heat transfer shows best performance at the clearance of C=1 mm, in case clearance changed, and the average heat transfer enhancement rate increased up to 47% compared to the result of a flat plate without a right angled triangle rod.

선박 이중판의 보강법 연구 (A Study on the Reinforced Method of Doubler Plate in Ship Hull Structure)

  • A study of the structural strength evaluation on the doubler plate, considering various load cases that were subjected to in-plane and out of plane combined load, has been performed through the systematic evaluation process. In order to estimate the proper static strength of doubler plate for various load cases, elasto-plastic large deflection analysis is introduced, including the contact effect between main plate and doubler. The characteristics of stiffness and strength variation are discussed, based on the results. In order to compare the doubler structure with the original strength of main plate, without doubler, simple formulas for the evaluation of the equivalent flat plate thickness are derived for each load case, respectively, based on the additional series of analysis of flat plate structure. Using these derived equations, the thickness change of an equivalent flat plate is analyzed according to the variation of various design parameters of doubler platesome design guides are suggested in order to maintain the original strength of main plate without doubler reinforcement. Finally, correlation between derived equivalent flat plate formula and the developed buckling strength formulas are discovered, and these relations are formulated for the future development of simple strength evaluation formula of general doubler plate structure.

지속가능한 초고층 건물을 위한 80층 RC 플랫 플레이트 건물의 연쇄붕괴 저항성능 평가 (An Evaluation for Progressive Collapse Resisting Capacity of a 80F RC Flat Plate for Sustainable Super Tall Building)

  • This study is connected with evaluation of the progressive collapse resisting capacity for sustainable RC super tall building design. As the progressive collapse is not considered in current design codes in Korea, differences between linear static and dynamic analysis based on the GSA guidelines was analyzed for better evaluation, and the analysis model of flat plate system was determined. Finally, the progressive collapse resisting capacity was evaluated for structural system of super tall building. According to this study, the results by linear dynamic analysis were underestimated than the results by linear static analysis. Thus, the dynamic coefficient value of 2 provides conservative approach. The Effective Beam Width's model, currently used in field, is useful for the analysis about lateral force, but this model does not consider the effect of load redistribution by the slab. Hence, finite element analysis considering slab element will be needed for progressive collapse resisting capacity of the flat plate system. Finally, analysis model of 80-story building designed based on KBC(Korea Building Code) shows the weakness against progressive collapse because the DCR value is over 2. Thus, the countermeasure for alternative loading path such as installment of spandrel beam and reinforcements around slab is required to prevent the progressive collapse.

  • Induction-heated system is innovative system which applied IH(Induction Heating) magnetic induction heating generated from induction-heated metallic package and high-frequency power circuit technique for thermal converse technique. In this occurs not burning, so that the working environment and deterioration of products can be improved. This technique is used high frequency inverter. By using high frequency inverter high frequency in the range of kHz can be made with conventional alternative current. In this contribution IGBT module is used for high frequency inverter. In this paper are discussed analysis of characteristics according to the each frequency and produced Flat plate induction heating system using 1.5kW-class half-bridge resonant inverter. In addition, operating characteristics of the system to changes in the distance between the coil and the heater, applications of system are also discussed.

  • Generally, curved surfaces of ship hull are deformed by flame bending (line heating), multi-press forming, and die-less forming method. The forming methods generate the required in-plane/bending strain or displacement on the flat plate to make the curved surface. Multi-press forming imposes the forced displacements on the flat plate by controlling the position of each pressing points based upon the shape difference between the unfolded flat plate and the curved object shape. The flat plate has been obtained from the unfolding system that is independent of the ship CAD. Apparently, the curved surface and the unfolded-flat surface are expressed by different coordinate systems. Therefore, one of the issues is to find a registration of the unfolded surface and the curved shape for the purpose of minimum amount of forming works by comparing the two surfaces. This paper presents an efficient algorithm to get an optimized registration of two different surfaces in the multi-press forming of ship hull plate forming. The algorithm is based upon the ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm. The algorithm consists of two iterative procedures including a transformation matrix and the closest points to minimize the distance between the unfolded surface and curved surfaces. Thereby the algorithm allows the minimized forming works in ship-hull forming.

컴퓨터 시물레이션 에 의한 太陽熱 集熱器 의 最適設計 에 관한 硏究 (The Analysis of Optimum Design Parameters for a Flat-Plate solar Collector Through Computer Simulation)

  • In the utilization of solar energy most often a flat solar collector is used for solar heating, system. Since solar energy is absorbed through this solar collector, it is considered to be a most important part in the whole solar heating system. The purpose of the present investigation is to evaluate the influence of varying design parameters for thermal performances of flat-plate solar collector. By analysing these parameters, optimum design of solar collector would become possible. Specification of the existing solar collector are utilized in calculation as a starting point. Analysis is carried out numerically for "Unit Solar Collector" which is composed of fin and tube. Among design parameters. such parameters as mass flow rate per unit area, tube spacing and fin thickness are selected as variables in the computer simulation model. Results are presented for thermal performances of flat-plate solar collector for each important design parameters, so that predictions become possible through numerical analysis without performing experiments whenever it is required. required.

  • This study has been conducted to measure the performance of 5 thermosyphon solar water heaters suitable for Korean climate and to develop the most optimum system. Each system consists of two flat plate collectors of $4'{\times}8'$ (or three flat plate collectors of $3'{\times}6'$) connected in parallel and a storage tank of $300{\ell}$ capacity. Among the tested systems, the configuration that has two flat plate collectors of $4'{\times}8'$ and a horizontal tank-in-tank type storage unit with internal fins (C system) showed the highest performance.

고강도 콘크리트를 사용한 플랫 플레이트 구조의 기둥·슬래브 접합부 구조성능 (Structural Performance of Column-Slab Connection in Flat Plate System Using High Strength Concrete)

  • 플랫 플레이트 구조에서 고강도 콘크리트를 사용함에 따라서 접합부의 전단강도와 같은 구조성능을 향상시켜서 플랫 플레이트 구조의 단점을 보완하여 장점을 극대화시킬 수 있다고 판단된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 70MPa급 고강도 콘크리트를 사용한 플랫 플레이트구조의 기둥 슬래브 접합부 실험체를 제작한 후에 수직하중과 수평하중의 조합하중을 가력하여 플랫 플레이트구조의 기둥 슬래브 접합부에 대한 전단강도를 비롯한 주요한 구조성능을 평가하고자 한다. 본 연구에서의 실험변수는 슬래브의 철근비와 슬래브에 작용하는 수직하중의 비율로 하였다.

보강판시스템에 적용되는 판형보강재의 국부좌굴거동 (Local Buckling Behaviors of Flat-Type Stiffeners in Stiffened Plate System)

  • 판형보강재의 강성 및 세장비의 영향이 보강판시스템의 면내압축강도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 탄성 및 비탄성 극한강도해석이 수행되었다. 탄성좌굴해석에서는 보강재의 국부좌굴현상이 고려될 수 없지만 보강재의 강성이 일정정도 확보되면 역대칭모드 좌굴형상이 발생되면서 보강판의 면내압축강도가 확보되는 것으로 파악되었다. 초기결함 및 잔류응력이 고려된 극한강도해석에서는 초기결함의 모드형상이 극한강도에 민감하게 영향을 미친다는 사실이 확인되었다. 도로교설계기준에서 제시하는 판형보강재의 세장비제한은 해석 결과와 비교하였을 때 보수적인 수치로 평가되었다.
