  • This is the first report of Champsodon longipinnis (Champsodontidae) collected from Korea. The specimen (100.9 mm in standard length) was caught by a bottom trawl in the coastal waters off Busan, Korea. This species is characterized by the following morphological traits: body with small denticulate scales except abdomen around pelvic fin base; posterior end of maxilla extending beyond margin of eye; dark pigmentation on most of the first dorsal fin, upper half of the first to the fourth soft ray of the second dorsal fin, and partial upper lobe of caudal fin. We add C. longipinnis to the Korean fish fauna and suggest a new Korean name, "Jeom-ak-eo-chi," for the species.

  • ICC(International Chamber of Commerce) developed new rule on the presentation of electronic record in L/C transactions. This rule named as the e-UCP. The gists of this article are on the application of e-UCP in practice and it's some problems. The e-UCP is the supplement of current exisiting UCP but is superior to UCP under some circumstances. The e-UCP is only apply to the presentation of electronic record regardless of type of L/C(for example, traditional paper L/C or electronic L/C). The presentation of electronic record has some problems which has not seen in the presentation of paper document. These peblems are Time, Place of presentation, and format of electronic record and so on. The e-UCP provided on the basis of these problems. However, the e-UCP has some obscure provisions on the examination of electronic record and the corruption of electronic record. Who is responsible for the corruption of electronic record by the virus on the system of bank ? The current e-UCP is not clear on this matter. We have to note followings in case of presenting the documents electronically and applying the e-UCP. First, Beneficiary has additional duty to notice of completion of presentation. Second, It will be increasing the clean NEGO through prompt feedback of the descrepancy at the presenting time. Third, It is no use of L/G(Letter of Guarantee).

  • In the course of the survey of indigenous species, a red algal Hypnea species was collected from eastern coast of Korea. This species is distinct from other species of Hypnea in having percurrent and cylindrical axis, linear to lanceolate branchlets in axes except their lower portion and medullary cell walls without lenticular thickenings. This Korean entity is identified as Hypnea chordacea K$\ddot{u}$tzing (Gigartinales, Rhodophyta) based on those features. This is the first record of Hypnea chordacea in Korea.

  • An anisogammarid amphipod, Eogammarus possjeticus (Tzvetkova, 1967), is newly recorded from Jindo Island, Korea, with a detailed description and illustrations. The species belonging to the genus Eogammarus are sharing several plesiomorphic characteristics, so they are similar to each other. However, Eogammarus possjeticus can be discriminated from congeners by the following characters combined: appendages are not fossorial, setations of antennae are weak, and the number and position of robust setae on pleonal epimera, urosomes, and telson are different from its congeners. This is the first record of the genus Eogammarus Birstein, 1933 from Korean waters.

  • Three specimens (23.5~26.9 mm in SL) of Eviota (Gobiidae) were collected from about 13 m depth off Munseom, Jeju Island, Korea. They are identified as Eviota melasma by their having a conspicuous black spot on the occipital region of the head and no spots on the dorsal midline of the body. This represents a first record of the species from Korea and a northernmost occurrence of the species.

  • A new record of the eyeshade sculpin Nautichthys pribilovius is described on the basis of a single specimen collected from the East Sea, Korea. The species has 23 second dorsal fin rays, rounded spines on the occiput, a black band through the eye and across the cheek, branched caudal fin rays and a branchiostegal membrane attached to the isthmus. The new Korean name "Gum-eun-tti-nun-hoet-dae-sok" is proposed for the genus Nautichthys, and "Gum-eun-tti-nun-hoet-dae" is proposed for the species N. pribilovius.

  • Single specimen (68 mm TL) of the Shiho's seahorse Hippocampus sindonis collected from Geomun Island was described as a first record from Korea. The species is characterized by having 15 dorsal fin-rays, 14 pectoral fin-rays, snout length 2.8 in HL, trunk rings 10, and tail rings 37. A new Korean name, "Sin-do-hae-ma" is proposed.

  • Two newly recorded species of melitid amphipod, Abludomelita japonica (Nagata, 1965) and A. okhotensis Labay, 2016 belonging to the family Melitidae Bousfield, 1973 were collected from Korean waters. To date, only two genera, Dulichiella Stout, 1912 and Melita Leach, 1814, of the 28 genera of Melitidae have been recorded in Korea, so this is the first record of the genus Abludomelita from Korea. The genus Abludomelita Karaman, 1981 is morphologically similar to Melita Leach, 1814, however they are distinguished by having oblique row of setae on inner lobe of maxilla 2. Both newly recorded species are fully illustrated and compared with related species.
