ZnO varistor에서의 절연 도포제 및 2차 열처리 효과 (Effect of Insulating Paste and 2nd Firing Process in ZnO Varistor)

  • The electrical properties of ZnO varistors fabricated by the second firing method were investigated. The nonlinear coefficient of ZnO varistor fabricated by this method is similar to that of commercial ZnO varistor. But the breakdown voltage is higher than that of commercial ZnO varistor. These results are attributed to grain boundary diffusion of $Bi_{2}O_{3}$ by second firing.

고탄소질함유 점토벽돌의 내부흑심제거 속도에 대한 연구 (Removal Phenomenon of Black Core in Clay Brick Containing High Carbon Content)

  • There have been some studies on the use of coal waste as a raw material for clay bricks due to the lack of naturally producing minerals. It can help resolving the problems of pollution, forest conservation and flood control by utilizing coal waste. However, high content of carbon materials usually leads to the black core in clay bricks after firing process, and diminishes the mechanical and aesthetical properties of clay brick. In this study, the effect of firing process is investigated for the removal of black core in clay bricks with carbon content. The removal kinetics of black core are also compared and investigated with the firing schedule and black core removal.

  • Dielectric properties and the stability of the perovskite phase in the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 system have been investigated as a function of amount of BaTiO3 and firing temperature. In the specimens fired at 120$0^{\circ}C$, the pyrochlore phase was eliminated by the addition of 10-15m/o BaTiO3 and also the dielectric constant increased. However, the dielectric constant decreased with further addition of BaTiO3 even though no pyrochlore phase was found to be present. The reducing tendency of the pyrochlore phase decreased with lowering the firing temperature in the system of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 with BaTiO3. Dielectric properties in PMN ceramics were affected by the character of the BaTiO3 rather than the pyrochlore phase.

  • This paper presents a ballistic lead-computation method which utilizes automatic video tracking, tracking assistance and roll uncoupling. The method is able to improve the firing accuracy of army fighting vehicles such as main battle tanks. In the experiment, the efficiency of the proposed method is evaluated by an error analysis in real operating environment. The proposed method has been applied to the fire control system of a military vehicle and proved through the development test of the vehicle.

  • We demonstrate a simple $CO_2$ laser by controlling firing angle of a TRIAC switch in ac power line. The power supply for our laser system switches the voltage of the AC power line (60Hz) directly. The power supply does not need elements such as a rectifier bridge, energy-storage capacitors, or a current-limiting resistor in the discharge circuit. In order to control the laser output power, the pulse repetition rate is adjusted up to 60Hz and the firing angle of TRIAC gate is varied from $45^{circ}$ to $135^{circ}$. A ZCS(Zero Crossing Switch) circuit and a PIC one-chip microprocessor are used to control the gate signal of the TRIAC precisely. The maximum laser output of 40W is obtained at a total pressure of 18 Torr, a pulse repetition rate of 60Hz, and a TRAIC gate firing angle of $90^{circ}$.

박용디젤기관의 착화실패가 추진축계종진동에 미치는 영향에 관한 이론적 연구 (A theoretical investigation of mis-firing effects on the crankshaft axial vibration of diesel engine)

  • Since the oil shocks of 1970s, the quality of the fuel oil for marine diesel engines has become more degarded than ever. When the poorer quality fuel is burned, carbon residues of the fuel oil cause blockage of the fuel injection valve nozzle and troubles of fuel injection system. The mis-firing of engine occurs due to the decrease of fuel quantity injected, the decrease of compression pressure in the slow speed range, the increase of fuel leaked and the high ignition temperature of degraded fuel etc. This paper is to investigate theoretically the effects of mis-firing on the crankshaft axial vibration of diesel engine. The cylinder pressure in operation is calculated by the computer aided simulation of closed cycle for a large two-stroke diesel engine and also the exciting force of axial vibration and the resonance amplitudes are calculated. And then, the condition of normal state, misfiring and one-cylinder cut-off operation are analyzed. The results of calculations show good agreements with those of the actual measurements.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate pozzolanic activity according to the firing temperature of the rice straw ash. In order to measure amount of SiO2 of rice straw ash, XRF(X-ray fluorescence) analysis was tested. Also to evaluate properties of mortars using rice straw ash, mortar flow, cement setting time, compressive strength was tested. As a results, as the mortar with a mixture ratio of rice straw ash up to 15% was found to have a compressive strength superior to that of plain mortar.

프릿트 첨가에 따른 저온소성 기판과 Cu와의 접합 거동에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Frit on Bonding Behavior of Low-firing-substate and Cu Conductor)

  • The bond strength between the low-firing-substrate and Cu conductor depended on the softening point and the amount of frit added to the metal paste. The addition of 3 wt% frit (softening point: 68$0^{\circ}C$) to the metal paste resulted in the improvement of bond strength, which was approximately 3 times higher (3kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$) than that of non frit condition. It was also found that fracture surface shifted to the ceramic substrate in the interface region. These phenomena were attributed to the frit migration into the metal-ceramic interface. It was thought that the migration of glass frit occurred extensively when the softening point of glass firt was 68$0^{\circ}C$. The sheet resistance of Cu conductor remained constant by the addition of 4 wt% frit regardless of softening point of frit. For all samples with more than 4 wt% frit, the sheet resistance increased abruptly.

  • This paper describes about the analysis of firing rebounding force exerted on the launching system supporting structure. The measured high pressure data at the launching tube is used as external force. The maximum firing rebounding force was occurred when the snubber of inner structure contacts the surface of wall in launching tube.
