주파수대역 직접확산 통신시스템에서 다중경로 페이딩 보상을 위한 최적 레이크 신호처리에 관한 연구 (Optimum Rake Processing for Multipath Fading in Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Communication Systems)

  • 무선 통신 시스템은 전자파 신호의 전파 특성과 주위 환경/장애물에 의해 다중 경로 페이딩을 겪게 되어 수신 신호의 급격한 전력 감쇄가 생길 수 있음은 잘 알려져 있는 사실이다. 한편으로 송신기에서 생성된 하나의 동일한 송신 신호가 여러 경로를 통해서 해당 수신기에 도달하므로 이점을 적극적으로 활용하면 데이터 수신 성능을 향상 시킬 수 있는데 이것의 한가지 방법이 레이크 신호처리 기법이다. 본 연구는 PN (pseudo noise) 수열을 사용하여 주파수대역 확산을 구현하는 무선통신 수신기에서 레이크 신호처리 기법에 대해서 연구하였다. 기존의 고정 PN 레이크 복조기는 다중 경로 페이딩 채널의 임펄스 응답 계수의 공액 복소수 값을 계수로 하는 유한 길이 디지털 필터에 의해 수신 신호론 처리한 후, PN 복조 과정을 거쳐 데이터 신호를 재생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 PN 복조 과정을 대체하는 최적 복조기의 개념 및 적응 설계 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 최적 레이크 복조기에 대해 이론적인 성능 분석을 수행하였으며, 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통해 유도된 결과들의 타당성을 검증하였다. 결과로 새로운 최적 레이크 신호처리기법을 통해 기존의 고정 PN 레이크 복조기에 비해 심볼평균제곱오차가 10dB 이상의 월등한 성능 향상이 가능함을 보였다. 또한 다중 경로 신호의 결합과 PN 복조를 동시에 한 복조 심볼 구간 안에서 수행하는 통합 복조기에 비해서도 약 10 dB 정도의 성능 향상이 있었다. 그리고 최적 레이크 복조기의 심볼평균제곱오차가 이론적인 한계치인 백색잡음 채널에서 QPSK 복조기의 심볼평균제곱오차에 매우 근접함을 보였다.

경사진 빗살무늬 변환기를 이용한 대역통과 필터 제작 (The fabrication of a slanted IDT Transducer for the passband filter)

  • 대역통과용 표면 탄성파 필터 제작하기 위하여 Langasite 기판위에 빗살무의 변환기를 형성시켜 모의실험을 수행하였으며, 전극재료로는 Al-Cu를 사용하였다 모의실험을 바탕으로 입력단에는 IDT를 직렬형태로 연결시킨 block 형태로 하중을 가하는 전극 방법을 쓰고 출력단은 withdrawal 형태로 하중을 가하는 방법을 써서 제작하였다 이를 바탕으로 광대역의 SAW 필터 전극 설계 방식에 대한 적절한 위상조건도 얻고자 시도하였다. Langasite 기판위에 형성시킨 입출력 빗살무늬 변환기 전극 수는 50쌍, 두께는 5000$\AA$ 으로 하였으며, 반사기 폭은 3.6$mu$m으로 하였다. 제작한 필터의 주파수 특성은 중심주파수가 대략 190MHz정도, 대역폭은 8.2MHz 정도로 측정되었으며, matching 후 return-loss는 -l6dB 이하이고, 리플 특성은 4dB 정도이며, 반사에 의한 잔향은 -l8dB 이하로 측정되었다.

3차원 탐색 레이더용 고속 실시간 신호처리기 개발 (Development of High-Speed Real-Time Signal Processing for 3D Surveillance Radar)

  • 개발된 3차원 탐색 레이더는 저속으로 기동 중인 작은 RCS(Radar Cross Section)를 갖는 다수의 표적을 TWS(Track While Scan) 방식을 활용하여 실시간으로 탐지, 추적하여 표적의 거리, 속도, 각도 정보를 추출하는 펄스도플러(pulsed-doppler) 방식의 레이더이다. 본 논문에서는 고속으로 기동하는 표적을 탐지하기 위한 일반적인 레이더 신호처리 기법과 비교하여 영속도 근처의 저속 표적을 탐지하기 위한 속도 채널 처리 및 클러터맵 생성기법, 생성된 클러터맵을 활용하여 표적 정보를 획득하기 위한 신호처리 기법을 기술하며, 고속 다중 DSP가 탑재된 상용(COTS: Commercial Off-The-Shelf) 보드를 활용하여 개발된 3차원 탐색 레이더용 실시간 신호처리기의 HW/SW 구조 설계 및 탑재 알고리즘, 시험 결과 등을 제시한다.

비정상 음향신호 필터링을 통한 플랜트 가스누출 위치 탐지기법 (Detection of Abnormal Leakage and Its Location by Filtering of Sonic Signals at Petrochemical Plant)

  • 심각한 사고를 초래하는 석유화학 플랜트의 가스 누출 여부와 위치를 실시간으로 탐지하기 위하여 주변의 여러 기계소음 등으로부터 비정상적 누출 음향을 분리할 수 있는 기법을 제시하였다. LMS 알고리즘을 이용하여 FIR구조의 적응필터와 누출 탐지용 상호상관함수를 이용하여, LABVIEW를 통하여 누출예측프로그램을 개발하였고 직접 제작한 장비를 이용하여 잔향실에서 실험을 수행하였다. 홀 사이즈, 압력, 거리, 주파수를 인자로 하여 비정상적 누출소음에 대한 실험에서 얻어진 데이터를 분석한 결과, 암소음은 1kHz 대역 이하에서 주로 발생하고 누출에 의한 소음신호는 고주파 대역, 특히 16kHz의 대역에서 가장 잘 발생한다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이런 음향기법의 가능성을 확인하기 위해서 실제로 정유공장에서 소음을 측정한 결과, 펌프와 압축기에서의 소음신호가 각각 2kHz, 4.5kHz로 측정됨으로써 주변 환경 소음과 누출음이 구별 가능하고 누출 위치(거리)의 탐지가 가능함을 밝혔다.

지역별 중장기 강수량 예측을 위한 신경망 기법 (A Neural Network for Long-Term Forecast of Regional Precipitation)

  • 본 논문에서는 한반도의 지역별 강수량 예측을 위한 신경망 기법을 소개한다. 시계열 패턴 예측 문제에 적용될 수 있는 기존의 다양한 신경망 모델의 특성을 분석하고 이로부터 강수량 예측 문제에 적합한 모델 및 학습 알고리즘을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 모델은 계층적구조의 신경망으로 각 노드의 출력값은 일정기간동안 버퍼에 저장되어 상위계층에 입력으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 제안된 모델에 대하여 이중연결형태의 시냅스 구조를 채택하고, 이에 대한 네트워크의 동작특성과 학습알고리즘 등을 정의한다. 이러한 이중연결구조는 기존의 다층퍼셉트론에서 바이어스 노드의 역할을 담당하며, 노드가 갖는 특징들간의 관계를 효과적으로 반영함으로써 기존의 전형적인 시계열 예측 신경망인 FIR(Finite Impulse Response) 네트워크와 비교할 때 학습의 효율을 개선시킨다. 제시된 이론은 월별 및 계절별 강수량 예측 실험에 적용하였다. 신경망 예측기의 학습자료로서 과거 수십년동안 관측된 강수량 데이터와 해수표면온도 데이터를 사용하며 예측 실험결과로부터 제시된 이론의 타당성을 고찰한다.

벡터양자화된 부대역 코덱에서 최적필터의 구현 (The Design of Optimal Filters in Vector-Quantized Subband Codecs)

  • 부대역 코딩은 데이터의 압축을 위해 신호의 주파수를 부대역 필터로 통과시켜 서로 상관이 없는 주파수대역으로 분할하여 각 대역의 신호의 에너지에 적합한 비트 할당을 사용하여 인코딩한다. 실제로 부대역 신호의 코딩은 PCM, DPCM이 사용되는 데 고압축의 전송속도를 얻기 위해서 벡터양자기를 사용하였다. 대부분의 연구자들은 부호화기의 오차에만 주안점을 두고 전체 필터대역의 회복오차와 이 오차가 필터대역에 의존되는 것에는 연구가 진행되지 않았다. 본 논문은 벡터양자기를 사용한 부대역 코덱의 분석과 최적구현의 새로운 접근방법을 제공하여 준다. 본 논문에서는 부대역 코덱에서 벡터양자기의 코드 북의 크기와 벡터크기 그리고 대역필터계수에 의존되는 전체 시스템의 회복오차인 Mean Squared reconstruction Error(MSE)를 계산하였다. 본 논문에서는 각 대역의 구조에서 이 MSE로 양자화를 모델링하고 주어진 전송속도, 필터길이, 입력신호 상관모델의 함수인 이 MSE를 최소화하는 최적의 Finite Impulse Response(FIR) 필터를 구현하였다. 최적구현의 예로 2-채널의 paraunitary 필터뱅크의 4-tap 필터계수를 구하였다. 이 paraunitary 최적의 필터 계수들을 Monte Carlo 모의시험을 사용하여 구하였다. 이 논문은 벡터양자기를 사용한 부대역 코덱의 분석방법을 제공하여 주어서 그 활용도가 기대된다.

한파에 따른 표층수온의 지연시간 고찰 - 서해, 남해 - (Consideration of Time Lag of Sea Surface Temperature due to Extreme Cold Wave - West Sea, South Sea -)

  • 본 연구에서는 강한 한파가 발생했던 2018년과 온난 한파가 발생했던 2019년의 기온에 따른 수온의 반응 및 지연시간과 북풍계열 바람 빈도와의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 사용된 시간 자료는 국립수산과학원에서 제공하는 7개 지점 해역별 수온자료와 수온관측소 인근 7개 지점 AWS 기온자료를 이용하였다. 관측되지 못한 자료는 내삽법으로 근사값을 계산하였고, FIR Filter를 이용하여 자료의 주기성을 파악하였다. 그 결과, 강한 한파가 발생했던 2018년은 북풍계열 바람을 통해 차가운 공기가 남하하면서 기온을 하강시켜 전 해역에 저수온을 유발한 반면 온난 한파가 발생했던 2019년은 평년 수준의 기온으로 하강하였지만 수온은 크게 변화하지 않았다. 강한 한파가 발생했던 2018년 기온 하강에 따른 수온의 지연시간은 평균 14시간으로 0.7 이상의 높은 상관성을 나타냈고 온난 한파가 발생했던 2019년은 평균 지연시간이 20시간으로 0.44-0.67 사이의 상관성을 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 해역별로 기온 하강에 따른 표층수온의 반응을 해석하였고 지연시간을 파악함으로써 양식생물의 피해를 최소화하고 한파 피해의 신속한 대응에 기여할 수 것으로 기대한다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The model demonstrated the influence of wavelength on the thermal process and proved to be a valuable tool to investigate internal temperature rise. 30536 T00401030536 ^x We investigated the structural geometry of thirty-eight Korean femurs. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer. To use as the structural matrix of the composite, collagen was purified from human umbilical cord. We propose a simple adaptive algorithm to increase capability of noise cancelation in QRS complex detection with two stage adaptive filter.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
