차광처리에 의한 잔대의 생육특성 (Growth Characteristics of Adenophora triphylla var. japonicum by Shading Treatments)

  • 본 연구는 차광처리에 의한 잔대의 지상부 및 지하부 생장특성을 파악하여 잔대의 임간재배기술을 확립하기 위한 기초정보를 제공하기 위함에 있다. 차광처리에 의한 잔대의 발순율 및 개엽율은 25% 처리구에서 가장 높았으며, 75% 처리구에서 가장 낮게 나타났다. 잔대의 지상부 및 지하부의 생장특성을 분석한 결과, 초장, 엽수, 엽장, 엽폭 등 지상부의 생장은 25% 처리구에서 가장 우수하였고, 뿌리의 형태적 특성인 총근장과 뿌리투영면적은 25% 처리구에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 뿌리표면적, 뿌리부피 및 뿌리직경은 대조구에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 0.5 mm이하의 미세근은 75% 처리구에서 72.4%로 가장 높았으며 이어 25% 처리구에서 69.5%로 다른 처리구에 비해 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the canal preparation time, deviation of the apex (Zipping), and debridement effect of the canal of three canal preparation techniques. Thirty extracted 1st and 2nd molars were divided into 3 groups and each group was enlarged by ultrasonic, sonic or hand instrument. The specimens were examined under scanning electron microscope and light microscope. The results were as follows: 1. In the canal preparation time, ultrasonic group was the shortest, followed by sonic, hand group. All pairs of groups were significantly different at the 0.05 level. (P < 0.05) 2. In the deviation of the canal, no two groups were significantly different at the 0.05 level. (P > 0.05) 3. In the evaluation of debris scores, ultrasonic and sonic groups were better debridement effect than hand group in the fine canals. In the large canals, ultrasonic group was the best results, followed by sonic, hand group. 4. In the evaluation of smear layer scores, ultrasonic group was the best and sonic and hand group were same effect in the fine canals. In the large canals, three groups were same effect. 5. In the effect of the removal of predentin and pulpal debris, in the regardless of canal size, three groups were same and pulpal debris was not completely removed by either technique.

Sn-3.5wt%Ag 비납솔더를 이용한 미세피치 솔더접합부의 신뢰성에 관한 연구 (Reliability of Fine Pitch Solder Joint with Sn-3.5wt%Ag Lead-Free Solder)

  • As solder becomes small and fine, the reliability and solderability of solder joint are the critical issue in present electronic packaging industry. Besides the use of lead(Pb) containing solders for the interconnections of microelectronic subsystem assembly and packaging has enviromental problem. In this study, using Sn/Pb and Sn/Ag eutectic solder paste, in order to obtain decrease of solder joint strength with increasing aging time, initial solder joint strength and aging strength after 1000 hour aging at $100^{\circ}C$ were measured by peel test. And in order to obtain the growth of intermetallic compound(IMC) layer thickness, IMC layer thickness was measured by scanning electron microscope(SEM). As a result, solder joint strength was decreased with increasing aging time. The mean IMC layer thickness was increased linearly with the square root of aging time. The diffusion coefficient(D) of IMC layer was found to $1.29{\times}10^{-13}{\;}cm^2/s$ at using Sn/Pb solder paste, 7.56{\times}10^{-14}{\textrm}{cm}^2/s$ at using Sn/Ag solder paste.

An Improved Multi-resolution image fusion framework using image enhancement technique

  • This paper represents a novel framework for multi-scale image fusion. Multi-scale Kalman Smoothing (MKS) algorithm with quad-tree structure can provide a powerful multi-resolution image fusion scheme by employing Markov property. In general, such approach provides outstanding image fusion performance in terms of accuracy and efficiency, however, quad-tree based method is often limited to be applied in certain applications due to its stair-like covariance structure, resulting in unrealistic blocky artifacts at the fusion result where finest scale data are void or missed. To mitigate this structural artifact, in this paper, a new scheme of multi-scale fusion framework is proposed. By employing Super Resolution (SR) technique on MKS algorithm, fine resolved measurement is generated and blended through the tree structure such that missed detail information at data missing region in fine scale image is properly inferred and the blocky artifact can be successfully suppressed at fusion result. Simulation results show that the proposed method provides significantly improved fusion results in the senses of both Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) performance and visual improvement over conventional MKS algorithm.

Assessment of Subsoil Compaction by Soil Texture on Field Scale

  • It is necessary to assess soil physical properties and crop growth treated by compaction to establish the soil management standard. This study evaluated the bulk density, strength and crop growth after subsoil compaction for sandy loam and loam on the field in Suwon, Korea. The treatments were compaction and deep tillage. Sandy loam and loam were classified to coarse soil and fine soil, respectively, depending on clay contents. In coarse soil, bulk density of compacted plot was 8~17% greater than control and deep tilled plot. The root growth was worse in compacted plot compared with control. In fine soil, plow pan was not observed in deep tilled plot with 5~19% smaller bulk density than compacted plot and control. Deep tillage improved the crop growth. The soil physical properties by compaction were dependent on clay content and crop growth limit depended on the traffic driving.

  • As the great catastrophe in the modern and contemporary history of China, the Cultural Revolution(CR) is an object, which must have sutured the past of darkness. At the same time it is a continuous event and also a scar of memory. In other words, for history is "a dialog between the past and the reality"(E.H.Kar), CR intervenes in the reality and, on the contrary, the reality recomposes CR. From this point of view, CR is a historical event, which so far is not ended, and it is an object of memory, which is still being composed at the moment. As the saying: "Poetry is greater than history"(Aristoteles), artistic works more intensively reflect the past. The works related to CR can not be an exception. And CR is endlessly exposed in the contemporary Chinese fine arts and the works of the contemporary Chinese artists-Wang Guangyi, Yue Minjun, Zhang Xiaogang and others are proved to be those who suffer from the trauma of CR and who feel no liberty from CR. For example, CR probably is a symbol showing the "identity" of the Chinese artists. And the diversity of the symbol is the experience and pattern of the dialog between artistic works and CR (i.e., intervention in reality). For example, with withering of grand-narrative and appearance of micro-narrative, the CR critical works of Guan Zhoudao were the root of the Chinese fine arts in the late 70s and early 80s. In the contemporary cultural situation, the literary works about CR actively analyzed the history (CR) from the personal point of views and explained in the way of monolog and micro-method led the 1990s' works. In this way they tried to recompose the history "randomly", like looking at reality with their own eyes. In this process, CR is continuously exposing new features and the real facts are appearing before us as unfamiliar phenomena. This is a way of combination and "reappearance" of contemporary arts and reality. In conclusion, the purpose of this article is to make it possible to see a section of the contemporary Chinese fine arts through the study of the icon image of CR and to analyze the way of fine arts recomposing the history and the intervening in the reality. In this sense, the author has entitled the article "Icon and Form". It means how to reshape (the present) the typically formed icon of the CR (the past).

KOMPSAT-3·3A 위성영상 글로벌 융합활용을 위한 다중센서 위성영상과의 정밀영상정합 (Fine-image Registration between Multi-sensor Satellite Images for Global Fusion Application of KOMPSAT-3·3A Imagery)

  • 뉴스페이스(new space) 시대가 도래함에 따라 국내 KOMPSAT-3·3A 위성영상과 해외 위성영상과의 글로벌 융합활용 기술확보가 대두되고 있다. 일반적으로 다중센서 위성영상은 취득 당시의 다양한 외부요소로 인해 영상 간 상대적인 기하오차(relative geometric error)가 발생하며, 이로 인해 위성영상 산출물의 품질이 저하된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 KOMPSAT-3·3A 위성영상과 해외 위성영상 간 존재하는 상대기하오차를 최소화하기 위한 정밀영상정합(fine-image registration) 방법론을 제안한다. KOMPSAT-3·3A 위성영상과 해외 위성영상 간 중첩영역을 선정한 후 두 영상 간 공간해상도를 통일한다. 이어서, 특징 및 영역 기반 정합기법을 결합한 형태의 하이브리드(hybrid) 정합기법을 이용하여 정합점(tie-point)을 추출한다. 그리고 피라미드(pyramid) 영상 기반의 반복적 정합을 수행하여 정밀영상정합을 수행한다. KOMPSAT-3·3A 위성영상과 Sentinel-2A 및 PlanetScope 영상을 이용하여 제안기법의 정확도 및 성능을 평가하였다. 그 결과, Sentienl-2A 영상 기준 평균 Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) 1.2 pixels, PlanetScope 영상 기준 평균 RMSE 3.59 pixels의 정확도가 도출되었다. 이를 통해 제안기법을 이용하여 효과적으로 정밀영상정합을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • A two year's field experiment was conducted on newly reclaimed saline tidal lands to measure the effects of sand mulching on salinity of the soils and their relationship to crop performance. Hybrid sorghum cv. Pioneer 931 was grown under different mulching treatments using of medium sand and red earth (Fine loamy, Typic Hapludults). Salinity in the root zone was decreased markedly under soil mulching using of medium sand, especially during the dry season, and it caused a great increase in the root growth and R/T ratio. Seasonal values of electrical conductivity at sand mulching were 6.6 in April and 1.6 mmhos in August, but it was still high with a concentration of 12.7 (April) and 3.8 mmhos (August) in untreated check plot. Sand mulching increased plant growth and the rate of dry matter accumulation. However, treatment of red earth additionally over sand mulching produced lower dry matter yield than those of soil mulching using of medium sand only. Under salt stress sorghum plant showed a decrease in the leaf weight ratio (LWR) and it resulted in a low concentration of crude protein of the plant. Sand mulching enhanced leaf weight ratio and rate of protein synthesis.

  • The quality of raw, red and white ginseng and the contents of some minerals were examined using 6-year-old ginseng roots produced in different shades, thatch and polyethylene net (P..E.). The yield of first and second grade ginseng roots was higher in the thatch shade than in the P.E. shade. The smaller sizes of ginseng routs were probably due to loss of ginseng yield called by alternaria blight in the third and fourth years, and lower quality was dale to more rusty roots in the P.E. shading. For red ginseng. rates of heaven and earth grades were higher in the P.E. than thatch shade. producing red ginseng with less inside cavity Production of white ginseng was higher in the thatch shade than in the P.E. shade. showing a higher yield, better piece grade, lower inside crack and better quality index in the thatch. The contents of some minerals such as K, Ca, Mg and Mn of fine ginseng roots differed between the two shades, some of which had a significant correlation with the quality indices of white ginseng. Keywords Thatch shade, polyethylene shade, alternaria blight, rulsty root, quality of ginseng.

Preventing of Bone Loss in Ovariectomized Rats by Salvia miltiorrhiza Radix Root Extract

  • Salvia miltiorrhiza Radix root extracts (SMR) was evaluated for inhibition of the progress of bone loss induced by ovariectomy (OVX) in rats. We measured body weight and bone histomorphometry in sham, OVX and SMR-administered OVX rats. From light microscopic analyses, porous or erosive appearances were observed on the surface of trabecular bone of tibia in OVX rats, whereas those of the same bone in sham rats and in SMR-administered rats were composed of fine particles. The trabecular bone area and trabecular thickness in OVX rats were decreased by $50\%$ from those in sham rats, and these decreases were completely inhibited by administration of SMR for 7 weeks. In this study, the mechanical strength in femur neck was significantly enhanced by the treatment of SMR for 7 weeks. In OVX rats, free $T_3$ was normal in all cases, whereas free $T_4$ was significantly increased. Although there was no difference between OVX and SMR-administered rat in $T_3$ levels, we have found significant difference between them in $T_4$ level. These results strongly suggest that SMR may be beneficial for preventing bone loss in OVX rats.
