Effect of Mixed Grinding on Superconductivity YBaCu Composite Oxide

  • Effect of mixed grinding with a planetary ball mill of starting materials before heat treatment on the crystal structure and superconduction properties in the YBaCu composite oxide was studied. The size reduction of powders too place in the early stage of grinding, followed by aggregation of the resultant fine particles. The uniformity of the composition in the mixture was improved with grinding, which later decreased in the crystal grain size and well distribution of twin phase in the sintered bodies. The critical current density of the sintered bodies obtained from the mixture ground for 60 minutes showed the maximum value about 150 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$, while critical temperatures were around 90K and were independent of the grinding time.

  • In this study, the ultra precision centerless grinder for ferrule grinding was designed. As the good-qualified ferrule is required a precise and fine grinding, grinding machine for ferrule must have a high accuracy and a sufficient stiffness. The centerless grinder is composed of the high damping concrete bed, grinding wheel spindle unit, regulating wheel spindle unit, feeding table and dressing unit. For a newly developed centerless grinder, hydrostatic system with high precision feeding and high stiffness was proposed. The grinding and regulating wheel spindle units were composed of hydrostatic spindle and feeding table was hydrostatic table. The prototype of hydrostatic table was manufactured and tested.

  • One of the recent changes in machining technology is rapid application of micro- and high precision grinding processes. A fine groove generation is necessary for the fabrication of optics, electronics and semiconductor parts. Slot grinding is very efficient for the generation of micro ordered groove with hard and brittle materials. In the process of slot grinding, chipping at the sharp edges and microcracks of the ground grooves are inevitable defects. Chipping should be reduced for the improvement of surface integrity. Mechanical contact with diamond grits causes microcracks at the grooves. This damage resides subsurface, and can be the cause of failure of the punch die. This paper deals with chipping generation at the sharp edges, surface integrity of side groove and fracture strength is related to the microcracks in the slot grinding.

  • $BaTiO_3$ powder was synthesized by the solid-state reaction of fine $BaTiO_3$ and $TiO_2$ raw materials. Fine grinding media of 50 and 300 microns were used for obtaining fine particulate mixture of $BaTiO_3$ and $TiO_2$ with high homogeneity. Effect of the size of grinding media on the synthesis mechanism of $BaTiO_3$ was discussed on the basis of the particulate morphology and thermogravimetry data for the mixture powders. By using the finer grinding media, $BaTiO_3$ was formed at the lower temperature and the particle size with the relatively narrower distribution could be obtained. $BaTiO_3$ powder with the average size of 100 nm was synthesized by the solid reaction in vacuum atmosphere.

분쇄방식 및 분쇄율이 고령토 광물의 건식 정제에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Grinding Method and Grinding Rate on the Dry Beneficiation of Kaolin Mineral)

  • 볼 밀과 임팩트 밀의 분쇄율에 따른 단체분리(선택적 분쇄)와 공기 분급에 의한 고령토 광물의 성세특성을 조사하였다. 원광석을 볼 밀과 임팩트 밀로 분쇄하여 325 mesh 이하 미립자의 생성율을 유사하게 조절하였으며 미립자에 대한 화학성분을 분석함으로써 선택적 분쇄 특성을 조사하였다. 분쇄된 시료는 공기 분급기를 사용하여 미립자와 굵은 입자로 분리하고 각 산물에 대한 화학조성분석을 통하여 분쇄 방식에 따른 정제효과를 비교하였다. 볼 밀과 임팩트 밀 모두 분쇄율이 높아질수록 미립자의 고령토 품위는 낮아지는 경향을 나타내었다. 특히 볼 밀의 경우에서 석영, 장석과 같은 불순광물의 혼입으로 인해 미립자의 불순물 함량이 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 볼 밀의 경우 공기 분급기의 분급점을 $43\;{\mu}m$로 하면 정광의 생산율은 66.2 wt%이었으며 철성분 제거율은 5.3%, 칼슘성분 제거율은 34.6%로 나타났다. 반면 임팩트 밀을 사용하여 동일한 조건으로 분쇄 후 분급한 산물의 정광 생산율은 64.4 wt%이며 철성분 제거율은 34.2%, 칼슘성분 제거율은 67.6%, 티탄성분 제거율은 25.0%를 나타내어 임팩트 밀의 경우가 불순물의 제거에 우수한 결과를 보였다.

미세분쇄에 의한 감국(Chrysanthemum incidicum Linne) 추출물의 생리활성 (Biological Activity of Extracts from Chrysanthemum incidicum Linne by Ultrafine Grinding)

  • 감국 phenolic compound의 추출을 위한 최적 추출조건은 70% ethanol로 6시간 추출이 최적이었다. 그때 추출수율은 물 추출물이 $7.12{\pm}1.61$ mg/g, ethanol 추출물이 $7.51{\pm}2.14$ mg/g이었고 초미세분쇄 했을 경우 물 추출물이 $8.63{\pm}1.15$ mg/g, ethanol 추출물이 $9.33{\pm}1.35$ mg/g이었다. 감국 추출물의 항산화력 측정에서 DPPH는 일반분쇄 추출물이 83.52%, 초미세분쇄 추출물이 92.37%이었다. ABTS radical cation decolorization의 경우 일반분쇄, 미세분쇄 및 초미세분쇄 추출물 모두 90% 이상이었다. Antixodant protection factor(PF)의 경우 초미세분쇄 한 감국의 물과 에탄올 추출물에서 1.82 PF와 2.16 PF의 높은 항산화력을 나타내었다. TBARS도 일반분쇄 및 미세분쇄에 비해 초미세분쇄 한 감국 추출물에서 더 낮은 TBARS값을 나타내었다. 감국 추출물의 xanthin oxidase 저해효과는 초미세분쇄 물 추출물이 67.53%, ethanol 추출물이 83.45%였다. Xanthin oxidase 저해는 물 추출물보다는 ethanol 추출물이, 초미세분쇄 추출물이 일반 추출물에 비해 효소억제효과가 더 우수한 결과를 나타내었다. Angiotensin converting enzyme 저해효과는 초미세분쇄 추출물의 경우 물 추출물에서 24% 이상의 억제효과를 나타내었고, ethanol 추출물은 34%의 억제효과를 나타내었다. 감국 추출물의 elastase 억제효과는 미세분쇄 추출물의 저해율 20.34%에 비하여 초미세분쇄 추출물의 억제율이 25.56%로 더 우수한 기능성을 나타내었다. Hyaluronidase의 경우 감국 물 추출물에서는 억제효과가 관찰되지 않았으며, ethanol 추출물에서만 35%정도의 염증억제효과를 보여주었다. 감국 추출물에 의해 대식세포에서 iNOS와 COX-2 단백질 발현억제 효과를 Western blot analysis로 측정한 결과 감국 에탄올 추출물에 의해 iNOS와 COX-2 단백질 발현이 100 ${\mu}g/mL$의 농도에서 각각 40%와 15%의 발현억제를 나타내었고, 농도 의존적으로 억제됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과 초미세분쇄에 의한 감국 추출물은 일반분쇄 추출물에 비해 고혈압과 통풍억제 효과가 확연히 높아짐을 알 수 있었다.

  • Electrolytic in-process dressing grinding technique which enables application of metal bond wheels with fine superabrasives in mirror surface grinding operations has developed. It is possible to make efficient precision machining of hard and brittle material such as ceramic and hard metal by the employment of this technique. However, in order to ensure the success of performances such as efficient machining, surface finish, and surface quality, it is important to sustain the insulating layer that has sharply exposed abrasives in wheel surface. Using AE(Acoustic Emission) sensor, this paper will show whether the insulating layer sustains stably or not in real grinding time. And by comparing AErms value and surface roughness their thresholds for stable electrolytic in-process dressing grinding will be determined.

MLCC 절단용 초경합금 칼날의 나노표면 가공 기술 (Nano-surface Machining Technology of Tungsten Carbide Blade for MLCC Cutting Process)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine and propose a high quality blade manufacturing method by applying ELID grinding technology to machining the tungsten carbide blade edge for MLCC sheet cutting. In this study, experiments are performed according to the abrasive type of grinding wheel, grinding method and grinding direction using the non-stop continuous dressing ELID grinding technology. By comparing and analyzing the chipping phenomena and surface roughness of both the blade grinding surface and the processed surface, a method for machining the tungsten carbide blade for cutting MLCC sheet is proposed. From the analysis of the surface roughness and chipping phenomena, it is confirmed that the use of diamond abrasive is advantageous for the blade machining. In addition, it succeeds in the machining of $6{\mu}m$ fine blade without any chipping, by using the grinding wheel #4000 with the diamond abrasive.
