The government of Korea enacted the National Health Promotion Act in 1995, and set aside funds for national health promotion, endeavoring to reduce the smoking rate of its citizens. Consequently, smoking rates in all age groups of both sexes were lowered during the period of 1999-2003 when legal backing and financial support for no-smoking policies from the national health promotion funds were provided. The decrease in the smoking rate is attributed to the combined effort of the fact that enactment of related acts, their implementation, financial support, and education and publicity 'campaigns on no smoking. However, at the current pace of decreasing the smoking rates, it will be difficult to achieve the Health and Welfare Ministry's smoking rate goal of30% among adult males by 2013. Thus, related acts should be reshaped, corresponding support should be increased, and financial support should also be provided to implement comprehensive no-smoking policies. Also, budgets should also be alloted to establish a system of providing feedback on the monitoring and evaluation of both short-term and long-term no-smoking business planning and implementation.

As a result of the study, it was confirmed that education and training, human resource development, communication, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction are correlated within the Korean financial industry. Furthermore, organizational commitment was found to have mediating effects on education and training, human resource development, communication, and job satisfaction. Based on these results, this study emphasizes the importance of education and training for organizational commitment in the Korean financial industry. In particular, this study establishes the importance of a culture of trust within organizations through human resource development programs, communication for job satisfaction, and organizational performance to face changes in the post-COVID era. Financial geography is an evolving subdiscipline in economic geography. This paper identifies and reviews three important 'waves' constitutive of the current state of financial geography: including the 'first' wave before 1990s when finance was regarded as a byproduct of the over-accumulation process in production sphere in the Marxist geographical political economy tradition; the 'second' wave in the mid-1990s during which financial geography was firmly established as a subdiscipline, influenced by the cultural turn and poststructuralist thoughts; and the most recent 'third' wave after the 2008~2009 global financial crisis that urged financial geographers to take power and politics more seriously and 're-politicize' with the analytical ideas of governmentality and financial subjectification from a neo-Foucauldian perspective. These waves have helped financial geography become a practice-oriented academic discourse, in which different philosophical thoughts, foci of analytical level and object, renditions of the subject, perceptions of power and politics, and geographies of finance and financialization coexist and also compete and contest one another.

The Purpose of this study is to determine how Korean and United Sates families manage resourcese. Further, socioeconomic and social psychological determinants of frequency of family resoures management will be investigated for each country. Comparision of results well be made to find similarities and differences between Korea and the U.S. Most studies of family resource management have used urban samples, so this study adds to understanding of another segment of the populations. Family resource management variables, as dependent variables, were measured by asking respondents how often they used a variety of wasys to handle finances and time. Independent variables were : (a) total household income, (b) respondents education, (c) respondents ages, (d) householder size, (e) family adaptability, (f) family cohesion, and (g) interpersonal communications. Data for the Korean sample were collected in rural areas of South Korea during summer 1989, U.S. data were collected in two counties of Illinois. The data used in this study include 473 Korean samples and 301 U.S. families. In both samples, the respondent was the financial manager, the person who usually handled the finances and paid the bills. The data were analyzed by frequencys, t-test, and multiple regression analysis methods. As a results, U.S. respondents tended to engage in family resource management more frequently than Korean respondents. This could be attributed to a longer history of consumer education and financial management education taught in the public schools and through the Cooperative Extension Service in the U.S. Social-psycological variables were significant predictors of frequency of family financial management in both samples. the differences in both samples are that, in Korea, frequency of family financial management increased as household size and educational years increased, however, in the United States, the relationships of these variables were not significant. Some similarities and differences were found in Korea and the U.S. families, and this results represents that interpersonal communications are important determinants, even in different cultures. One hadn, the difference of socio-cultural factors result as the difference of some statisical differences. Findings from this study have important implications for research and education, and can be applicated to study of family resource management in other rural areas.

The implementation of physical or social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic has an implication on the shifting of conventional to online business activities. This study aims to explore how financial support, perceived benefits, external pressure determine social media marketing as well as understanding the role of internet and e-business technology (IEBT) that occurs in this relationship. This study adopted a quantitative study with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)-based variance Partial Least Square (PLS), which aims to enhance understanding of the relationship between variables. The surveyed population of this study came from 123 small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) owners in East Java of Indonesia, using an online survey and selected with the convenience random sampling method. The findings of this study indicated that the perceived benefits and external pressure have a positive effect on the adoption of IEBT. However, financial support failed in explaining SMEs' adoption of IEBT. This study confirmed that the adoption of IEBT has successfully mediated the influence of financial support, perceived benefits, and external pressure on social media marketing. Despite the samples solely collected from East Java, this study is the first step in research related to the social media marketing in SMEs in Indonesia.
