  • The video image in the movie has become more spectacular than ever, and the expression area and the subject have been infinitely expanded, but it can not be said that the range of imagination has expanded. Instead, the 60s and 70s, which were the epochs of popular culture, The film that implements the artististic visual style and expression style of the artist. Stanley Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange", which has been pursuing technological perfection and experimental style, was created using traditional video grammar and gained a great repercussion with outstanding material and high artistic expression technique at that time. These techniques have led audiences to rational observation through irony, rather than emotional sympathy for the situation, for extreme violence and sensational films. This is because the purpose of the director was not to be in technological perfection but to reveal the contradictions of the real society and to reflect on the meaning of the existence of society itself. These creative traditional visual grammar and expression methods are a good visual style that enables the intentionally transmitted message to be transmitted more intensely and effectively, and the artistic depth can be created at the same time by unconsciously perceiving the meaning present on the back to the audience.

A Study on the Improvement of Online Services for Movie Sound Effects: Focusing on the K-Sound Library (영화 효과음원 온라인 서비스 개선방안 연구 : K-Sound Library 를 중심으로)

  • In recent years, the film industry in South Korea has experienced a period of prosperity, evidenced by the numerous awards won at major international film festivals. Furthermore, growing global interest in K-content and the expansion of the OTT industry following the COVID-19 pandemic are providing favorable conditions for the development of the domestic film industry. Sound effects play a crucial role in conveying the atmosphere and emotions of a film, making them an essential element of film production. In response, the Jeonju IT & CT Industry Promotion Agency has been promoting the development of Korean-style sound effects since 2013. Furthermore, the agency launched an online service called the "K-Sound Library," a sound effect archive, in 2021. However, the service has not been widely utilized because of issues with the database's construction and the system's problems. Therefore, this study aims to identify the K-Sound Library's problems through interviews with sound effects specialists about the online service of the first sound effect archive in South Korea. Based on the interviews and analyses of foreign cases, the study suggests ways to improve the search services' usability and the sound effects classification system.

  • Director Lee Chang Dong said that it is the most important point for revealing the invisible beauty so that the audience could feel the unseen beauty through the . Discussing about how to find beauty that is not only visible but also invisible through the main character Mi-ja from the film, who makes a decision and reactions on her daily life by her perception that are difficult for others to take same. The film tells that how Mi-ja's ideal of a beauty can be taken the role for writing a poetry at the moment of the dead poet society, making a movie in the age of dying emotion and also when it lost fundamental values and about movie media. This study analyzed the performances of the main character Mi-ja in the film, and actress Yoon Jung Hee based on Director Lee Chang Dong's directed performance. The audience will be self-questioning and reflecting their life through the Mi-ja's an unidentifiable characteristic which something that someone cannot say, something that someone cannot express, something that tells something through Mi-ja's poem and actress herself finds the character's feelings.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate and analyse the characteristics and images of interior environment design in the living rooms, bed rooms and kitchen of the apartment, using the e-model houses of the apartments that will be constructed by 10 construction companies and be occupied after 2006. The 29 defined terms were used in this study to describe the interior image trend. They were systematized by a 5-point scale for the SD evaluation, and were used as a tool to analyse the images. The images were evaluated by methods, such as monitoring the image photos showing the individual rooms in their e-model houses and making their slide film, and reediting them to understand interior atmospheres completely. The image evaluation was performed by the group of 2nd and 3rd year students in the Housing & Interior Design of D University on December 9, 2005, and the data were analysed using SPSS Statistical Program 12.0 for Windows.

  • In order to analyze the characteristics of complicated TFT-LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) circuits, it is indispensible to use simulation programs. In this study, we present a systematic method of extracting the input parameters of poly-Si TFT for Spice simulation. This method is applied to two different types of poly-Si TFTs fabricated in our group with good results. Among the Spice simulators, Pspice has the graphic user interface feature making the composition of complicated circuits easier. We added successfully a poly-Si TFT model on the Pspice simulator, which would contribute to efficient simulations of poly-Si TFT-LCD pixels and arrays.

A Study on Pyroelectric Characteristics of PZT/Polymer Composite Material (PZT/Polymer 복합재료의 초전 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In the present investigation, ceramic PZT and Polymer were prepared. The former is Pb[(Sn1/2Sb1/2)0.1 Ti0.27Zr0.63]O3 including Pb(Sn1/2Sb1/2)O3 with good pyroelectric effect, and the latter PVA(Poly Vinyl Alcohol) with good plasticity. Then, they were fabricated to be flat by using 0-3 connectivity which is rather easily fabricated and capable of making thin film, extending surface area among the connectivities. Such were applied to the sample as variation of intensity of poling field, poling temperature, volume fraction between ceramic and polymer. Then dielectric constant, pyroelectric current, pyroelectric coefficient and the figure of merit were measured. And then their effects on pyroelectric characteristics were observed.

  • The flash temperature distribution on the contact surfaces between cam and roller-follower mechanism was analysed numerically. The elasto-hydrodynamic lubrication pressure and film thickness were used to get the accurate analysis results. The temperature distribution was obtained by numerical integration by making use of Carslaw and Jaeger's formulation to the whole contact surfaces. The maximum flash temperature was increased with both the increasing slip ratio of the contact surface and increasing external load Profile of the temperature distribution was affected by the sliding velocity of the surface.

  • Laser bonding between similar and dissimilar thermoplastics has been investigated by making use of laser transmission weld technique. Spot welding of two layers of plastic materials has been demonstrated by using of a high-quality diode-laser with 808nm wavelength. Weld areas increases according to power density, exposure time. The results of peel out test show that peel strengths increase with the area of molten plastics. Layers, which have the same chemical properties, have good bonding qualities. A bonding method which dye film is coated on the interface is used for laser bonding between plastics with high transmission for laser wavelength. Laser transmission bonding is worthy of attention because it is not in contact, requires a few tooling devices, allows a flexible energy delivery and produces nearly invisible welds

  • Recently, interactive media which maximizes audience engagement by making the audience appeal on a stage in digital media environment has been distributed more widely. In fact, there has been active movement to develop and promote a new participatory media genre with higher immersion by applying this kind of interactive media concept to advertisement, film, game and e-learning. In the conventional interactive media, digital media had to be enjoyed in particular environment where diverse sensors were installed or through a certain device to recognize a user's motion and voice. This study attempted to design and implement an image creation system which ensures interactions between a user and media in popular distribution-enabled web environment and through PC and smart devices to minimize the image producer-user constraints.

  • Piezoelectric materials have been investigated as vibration energy converters to power wireless devices or MEMS devices due to the recent low power requirements of such devices and the advancement in miniaturization technology. Piezoelectric power generation can be an alternative to the traditional power source-battery because of the presence of facile vibration sources in our environment and the potential elimination of the maintenance required for large volume batteries. This paper represents the new power source which supplies energy device node. This system, called "energy harvesting system", with piezo materials scavenges extra energy such as vibration and acceleration from the environment. Then it converts the mechanical energy scavenged to electrical energy for powering device This paper explains the properties of piezo material through theoretical analysis and experiments The developed system provides a solution to overcome the critical problem of making up wireless device networks.
