Anodic alumina with self-organized and ordered nano hole arrays can be a good candidate of an irradiation mask to modify the properties of nano-scale region. In order to try using porous anodic alumina as a mask for ion-beam patterning, ion beam transmittance of anodic alumina was tested. 4 Um thick self-standing AAO templates anodized from Al bulk foil with two different aspect ratio, 200:1 and 100:1, were aligned about incident ion beam with finely controllable goniometer. At the best alignment, the transmittance of the AAO with aspect ratio of 200:1 and 100:1 were $10^{-8}\;and\;10^{-4}$, respectively. However transmittance of the thin film AAO with low aspect ratio, 5:1, were remarkably improved to 0.67. The ion beam transmittance of self-standing porous alumina with a thickness larger than $4{\mu}m$ is extremely low owing to high aspect ratio of nano hole and charging effect, even at a precise beam alignment to the direction of nano hole. $SiO_2$ nano dot array was formed by ion irradiation into thin film AAO on $SiO_2$ film. This was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy that the $SiO_2$ nano dot array is similar to AAO hole array.

MnTe layers of high crystalline quality were successfully grown on Si(100) : B and Si(111) substrates by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Under tellurium-rich condition and the substrate temperature around $400^{\circ}C$, a layer thickness of $700{\AA}$ could be easily obtained with the growth rate of $1.1 {\AA}/s$. We investigated the structural, magnetic and transport properties of MnTe layers by using x-ray diffraction (XRD), superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometry, and physical properties measurement system (PPMS). Characterization of MnTe layers on Si(100) : B and Si(111) substrates by XRD revealed a hexagonal structure of polycrystals with lattice parameters, ${\alpha}=4.143{\pm}0.001{\AA}\;and\;c=6.707{\pm}0.001{\AA}$. Investigation of magnetic and transport properties of MnTe films showed anomalies unlike antiferromagnetic powder MnTe. The temperature dependence of the magnetization data taken in zero-field-tooling (ZFC) and field-cooling (FC) conditions indicates three magnetic transitions at around 21, 49, and 210 K as well as the great irreversibility between ZFC and FC magnetization in the films. These anomalies are attributable to a magnetic-elastic coupling in the films. Magnetization measurements indicate ferromagnetic behaviour with hysteresis loops at 5 and 300 K for MnTe polycrystalline film. The coercivity ($H_c$) values at 5 and 300 K are 55 and 44 Oe, respectively. In electro-transport measurements, the temperature dependence of resistivity revealed a noticeable semiconducting behaviours and showed conduction via Mott variable range hopping at low temperatures.
YSZ ($8mol\%$ yttria-stabilized zirconia)-modified LSM $(La_{0.85}Sr_{0.15}MnO_3)$ composite cathodes were fabricated by formation of YSZ film on triple phase boundary (TPB) of LSM/YSZ/gas. The YSZ coating film greatly enlarged electrochemical reaction sites from the increase of additional TPB. The composite cathode was formed on thin YSZ electrolyte (about 30 Um thickness) supported on an anode and then I-V characterization and AC impedance analyses were performed at temperature between $700^{\circ}C\;and\;800^{\circ}C$. As results of the impedance analysis on the cell at $800^{\circ}C$ with humidified hydrogen as the fuel and air as the oxidant, R1 around the frequency of 1000 Hz represents the anode Polarization. R2 around the frequency of 100Hz indicates the cathode polarization, and R3 below the frequency of 10 Hz is the resistance of gas phase diffusion through the anode. The cell with the composite cathode produced power density of $0.55\;W/cm^2\;and\;1W/cm^2$ at air and oxygen atmosphere, respectively. The I-V curve could be divided into two parts showing distinctive behavior. At low current density region (part I) the performance decreased steeply and at high current density region (part II) the performance decreased gradually. At the part I the performance decrease was especially resulted from the large cathode polarization, while at the part H the performance decrease related to the electrolyte polarization.
Purpose: Microfracture has been used as a first-line treatment to repair articular cartilage defects. In this study, a new technique using an extracelluar matrix biomembrane to cover the cartilage lesions after microfracture was evaluated in terms of cartilage repairability and clinical outcome compared with conventional microfracture technique in a prospective randomized trial. Materials and Methods: A total of 53 patients (59 cases) without osteoarthritis who had focal full thickness articular cartilage lesions were randomly assigned in two group. Seventeen patients (17 cases) underwent conventional microfracture procedure (control group) and thirty-six patients (42 cases) received microfracture and placing biomembrane cover (ArtiFilm$^{TM}$) concomitantly (experimental group). Clinical assessment was done through 6 months postoperatively using the subjective International Knee Documentation Committee IKDC questionnaire, and visual analog scale (VAS) for pain and satisfaction. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was performed at 6 months after the operation in all patients. Results: In clinical outcomes, the significant difference was observed between both groups in IKDC, but not in VAS for pain and for satisfaction (final outcomes of IKDC, p=0.001; VAS for pain, p=0.074; VAS for satisfaction, p=0.194). The MRI showed good to complete defect fill (67 to 100%) in 33 patients (78.6%) of experimental group and 4 patients (23.5%) of control group, respectively. In control group, 9 of 17 patients (52.9%) showed poor defect fill (less than 33%), whereas 5 (11.9%) in experimental group (p=0.001). Assessment of peripheral integration revealed no gap formation in 35 patients (83.3%) in experimental group and 6 patients (35.3%) in control group (p=0.001). No serious complications or adverse effects related to the biomembrane were found. Conclusion: Good short-term follow-up clinical results were obtained in the group whose cartilage defects in the knee joint were covered with biomembrane after the microfracture, with the MRI findings confirming the excellent regeneration of the defective cartilage area. This suggests that the surgery to cover the defective area with biomembrane (ArtiFilm$^{TM}$) after the microfracture procedure is a safe, more effective treatment to induce cartilage regeneration.

In this study, we have analyzed the effects of the membrane layer and the bragg reflector layers on the resonance characteristics through comparing the characteristics of the membrane type FBAR (Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator) and the one type bragg reflector layers with those of the ideal FBAR with top and bottom electrode contacting air by using equivalent circuit technique. It is assumed that ZnO is used for piezoelectric film, $SiO_2$ are used for membrane layer and low acoustic impedance layer, W are used for the high acoustic reflector layer and Al is used for the electrode. Each layer is considered to have a acoustic propagation loss. ABCD parameters are picked out and input impedance is calculated by converting 1-port equivalent circuit to simplified equivalent circuit that ABCD parameters are picked out possible. From the variation of resonance frequency due to the change of thickness of electrode layers, reflector layers and membrane layer it is confirmed that membrane layer and the reflector layer just under the electrode have the greatest effect on the variation of resonance frequency. From the variation of resonance properties, K and electrical Q with the number of layers, K is not much affected by the number of layers but electrical Q increases with the number of layers when the number of layers is less than seven. The electrical Q is saturated when the number of layers is large than six. The electrical Q is dependent of mechanical Q of reflector layers and membrane layer. Both ladder filter and SCF (Stacked Crystal Filters) show higher insertion loss and out-of-band rejection with the increase of the number of resonators. The insertion loss decreases with the increase of the number of reflector layers but the bandwidth is not much affected by the number of reflector layers. Ladder Filter and SCF with membrane layer show the spurious response due to spurious resonance properties. Ladder filter shows better skirt-selectivity characteristics in bandwidth but SCF shows better characteristics in insertion loss.
Biodegradable edible films were prepared from rice protein concentrates (RPC) made from rice wine meal by alkaline extraction and isoelectric precipitation. The effect of film forming solution pH and plasticizers were studied, and cross-linkers were added to improve mechanical properties and water vapor permeabilities (WVP) of films. Films could be formed within pH $8{\sim}11$ with tensile strength (TS) of 4.3{\sim}5.7\;MPa$. Films produced under pH 11 had the highest TS (5.7 MPa) and the lowest WVP $(0.44\;ng{\cdot}m/m^2{\cdot}s{\cdot}Pa)$. Added glycerol, polyethylene glycol 200 (PEG) and its mixture (GLY:PEG=50:50) as plasticizers also affected the mechanical properties and WVP of films. TS and elongation at break (E) of films at various plasticizer levels were $5.5{\sim}1.0\;MPa$ and $3.6{\sim}24.3%$, respectively. At the same plasticizer concentration, the highest TS was observed when glycerol was used whereas the highest E was measured when mixture was used as plasticizer. WVPs of films with thickness of $60\;{\mu}m$ were $0.39{\sim}0.54\;ng{\cdot}m/m^2{\cdot}s{\cdot}Pa$. WVP of films decreased as the ratio of glycerol/PEG 200 was decreased, and WVP increased as the total amount of plasticizer added to the films increased. Film strength was improved by the addition of small amount of sodium hydrogen sulfate, succinic anhydride, ascorbic acid and citric acid, whereas TS of films containing $0.5{\sim}2.0%$ of NaCl and $CaCl_2$ were lower than those without the salts. The highest TS (6.3 MPa) was achieved with films containing 0.1% of succinic anhydride.
Purpose : Since the mid cranial fossa is composed of various thickness of bone, the tissue inhomogeneity caused by bone would produce dose attenuation in cobalt-60 gamma knife irradiation. The correction factor for bone attenuation of cobalt-60 which is used for gamma knife source is -3.5$\%$. More importantly, nearly all the radiosurgery treatment planning systems assume a treatment volume of unit density: any perturbation due to tissue inhomogeneity is neglected, This study was performed to confirm the bone attenuation in mid cranial fossa using gamma knife. Materials and Methods : Computed tomography was performed after Leksell stereotactic frame had been liked to the Alderson Rando Phantom (human phantom) skull area. Kodak X-omat V film was inserted into two sites of pituitary adenoma point and acoustic neurinoma point, and irradiated by gamma knife with 14mm and 18mm collimator. An automatic scanning densitometer with a 1mm aperture is used to measure the dose profile along the x and y axis. Results : Isodose curve constriction in mid cranial fossa is observed with various ranges. Pituitary tumor point is greater than acoustic neurinoma point (0.2-3.0 mm vs 0.1-1.3 mm) and generally 14 mm collimator is greater than 18mm collimator (0.4-3.0 mm vs. 0.2-2.2 mm) Even though the isodose constriction is found, constriction of 50$\%$ isodose curve which is used for treatment reference line does not exceed 1 mm. This range is too small to influence the treatment planning and treatment results. Conclusion : Radiosurgery planning system of gamma knife does not show significant error to be corrected without consideration of bone attenuation.
$TiO_{2}$/Se : Te heterojunction for color sensor has been fabricated by RF reactive sputtering and thermal evaporation methods onto glass substrate. The optimum deposition condition of $TiO_{2}$ films was such that RF power was 120 W, substrate temperature was $100^{\circ}C$, oxygen concentration was 50%, working pressure was 50 mTorr for the $TiO_{2}$ film thickness of $1000{\AA}$. In this case, the optical transmittance of $TiO_{2}$ film at 550 nm-wavelength was 85%, resistivity was $2{\times}10^9{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$, refractive index was 2.3, and optical bandgap was 3.58 eV. The composition ratio of 0 to Ti by AES analysis was 1.7. When $TiO_{2}$ films were annealed at $400^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. in $O_{2}$ ambient, the optical transmittance of $TiO_{2}$ films at the wavelength range of $300{\sim}580$ nm was improved from 0 to 25%. When Se : Te films were annealed at $190^{\circ}C$ for 1 min., photosensitivity under illumination of 1000 lux was 0.75. The optical bandgap of Se : Te films was 1.7 eV. The structures of Se : Te films were the hexagonal with (100) and (110) orientation. The spectral response of a-Se was improved by the addition of Te, especially in the long wavelength region. The $TiO_{2}$/Se : Te heterojunction showed wide spectral response, and more improved one than that of a-Si film in the blue light region.
Webtoon has developed the method that makes it possible to express sound visually. Also we can also hear sound in webtoon through the development of web technology. It is natural that we analyze the sound that we can hear, but we can also analyze the sound that we can not hear. This study is based on 'dual code' in cognitive psychology. Cartoonists can make visual expression on the basis of auditive impression and memory, and readers can recall the sound through the process of memory and memory-retrieval. This study analyzes both audible sound and inaudable sound. Concise analysis owes the method to film sound theory. Three main factor, Volume, pitch, and tone are recognized by frequency in acoustics. On the other hand they are expressed by the thickness and site of line and image of sound source. The visual expression of in screen sound and off screen sound is related to the frame of comics. Generally the outside of frame means off sound, but some off sound is in the frame. In addition, horror comics use much sound for the effect of genre like horror film. When analyzing comics sound using this kinds of the method film sound analysis, we can find that webtoon has developed creative expression method comparing with simple ones of early comics. Especially arranging frames and expressing sound following and vertical moving are new ones in webtoon. Also types and arrangement of frame has been varied. BGM is the first in using audible sound and recently BGM composed mixing sound effect is being used. In addition, the program which makes it possible for readers to hear sound according to scroll moving. Especially horror genre raise the genre effects using this technology. Various methods of visualizing sound are being created, and the change shows that webtoon could be the model of convergence in contents.

Purpose: The present study was conducted to investigate the changes in the physical properties of RGP lenses induced by the polishing during the process of RGP lens manufacturing, and further evaluate the differences in the actual wearer's comfort and the tear film break-up time caused by these changes. Methods: RGP lenses (fluorosilicone acrylate material) were divided into 4 groups by the different lens-polishing time like 0, 25, 50 and 100 seconds and the thickness, the surface roughness and the wetting angle of those lenses were compared. Furthermore, the comfortability of the lens wear was surveyed after applying these lenses on the subject's eyes with normal tear volume and the non-invasive tear break-up time of the wearers was measured. Results: The central thickness of 4 RGP lenses made of different lens-polishing time was not significantly different however, the lens surface was changed smoother after polishing to be confirmed by scanning electron microscopy. The wetting angle of the RGP lens significantly decreased in accordance with the increase of polishing time. Thus, the difference of approximately $16^{\circ}$ between 0 second and 100 seconds-polishing was statistically significant. The actual wearing feeling of RGP lens was tended to improve in accordance with the increase of the lens wettability however, it was not proportional improvement. The non-invasive tear break-up time of the lens wearers showed different aspect compared with the changes in lens wettability and the actual feeling of RGP lens wear. Conclusions: In this study, better lens wettability, thinner lens thickness, and/or improved lens surface induced by physical stimuli in the process of RGP lens manufacturing was not well-correlated with the increase of actual subjective/objective satisfaction in RGP lens wear. Thus, the consideration of physical properties of the lens as well as the lens wearers' physiological factors in the process of RGP lens manufacturing may be suggested.
