  • Recently, local government has adopted the film location as the strategies for regional development and has established local film commissions for facilitating the film location. The film locations in Gyeongbuk have been grown gradually since Taejo Wang Geon, TV series was filmed in KBS on-location set of Mungyeong, and the government of Gyeongbuk established the Geeongbuk film commission in 2006. However, the film locations in Gyeongbuk are confined to filming some products in Gyeongbuk, and there's few film-related firms in Gyeongbuk. Furthermore, the film industries in Gyeongbuk is consumption-led and the capability of film-related firms is still weak. Therefore, Gyoengbuk film commission should play the wide roles, making the film-friendly institutions, creating local atmosphere of collaboration, fostering film-induced tourism, and maturing local film culture, as well as the general roles of film commission, offering the film location services, database services and networking.

  • To reduce the grain size and the media noise in a typical CrMo/CoCrPtB longitudinal media, a sputtering process which includes the exposure of oxygen onto the surface of CrW$_x$ (x=0, 25, 50, 75, 100 at.%) and CrTi$_{15}$ seedlayers with the thickness of 0.5 nm have been utilized. The main results are: (1) the media grain size and the media noise are reduced when using CrW$_x$ (x=0, 25, 50 at.%) seedlayers, and not reduced when using CrTils or CrW$_x$ (x=75, 100 at.%) seedlayers, (2) AES and RHEED results suggest that W seedlayer, which has the highest melting point, forms layer-like film with very small and dense island grain, due to its high free surface energy and low mobility. On the other hand, CrW$_{50}$ and Cr seedlayers, which have lower melting point than W seedlayer, form island film, (3) to effectively reduce the media grain size and improve the media signal to noise ratio, it is essential to utilize a very thin Cr-based seedlayer with high affinity for oxygen and which forms island-like structure, such as CrW$_{50}$ seedlayer.

  • Korea has the tenth largest film industry in the world; however, detailed analyses using the factors contributing to successful film commercialization have not been approached. Using big data, this paper analyzed both internal and external factors (including genre, release date, rating, and number of screenings) that contributed to the commercial success of Korea's top 10 ranking films in 2011-2015. The authors developed a WebCrawler to collect text data about each movie, implemented a Hadoop system for data storage, and classified the data using Map Reduce method. The results showed that the characteristic of "release date," followed closely by "rating" and "genre" were the most influential factors of success in the Korean film industry. The analysis in this study is considered groundwork for the development of software that can predict box-office performance.

  • Seawater amounts to 70% of the earth and represents a quite unlimited resource for the production of fresh water by desalination processes and for the extraction of dissolved salts present in it. Recently, the falling film evaporation has increased in interest as an efficient method for seawater desalination system. In the desalination system, the flow characteristics of the falling film is very important issue to make highly efficient system. So, this study is taken to investigate numerically the falling film thickness on the inlet Renold Number ranges are 400 to 700. Numerical simulations are performed using FLUENT6.3.26, a commercial CFD code.

  • In this study, cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) were modified through carboxymethylation or TEMPO-mediated oxidation and their effects on ionicity and characteristics of sheet, film, and foam were investigated. Carboxymethylation was carried out on pulp fibers as a pre-treatment before preparation of CNF. The gel-like and translucent CNF hydrogel was obtained by grinding of carboxymethylated cellulose fibers. Carboxymethylated CNF film and freeze dried sheet showed higher transparency than that of untreated CNF. The CNF sheet with high strength and the CNF foam without large ice crystals were obtained by using the carboxymethylated CNF. TEMPO-mediated oxidation was carried out as a post-treatment of CNF. The zeta potential and charge demand of TEMPO-oxidized CNF were increased with an increase in oxidation time and addition amount of NaClO. The density of sheet made of TEMPO oxidized CNF was increased with the amount of oxidizing agent. The TEMPO oxidized cellulose nanofiber (TOCN) which was obtained from supernatant after centrifugation could be converted to transparent film.

  • Nowadays, diseases related with breast are increasing rapidly and because of this high quality of resolution images is required to get clear detail specially for early detection and diagnosis. It has a tendency to use digital equipments than analog one in clinic. In this experiment, DR, CR, and Film are used for the resolution applied by AEC. Resolution phantom in DR was $7LP{\cdot}mm^{-1}$ in both verticality and horizontality. In CR, however, it was $6LP{\cdot}mm^{-1}$ in both which was lower this standard. The resolution stayed in range of standard in Film but it showed differences between $11{\sim}14LP{\cdot}mm^{-1}$ Overall, the difference of resolution was displayed Film, DR and CR, in order, which means the study is needed for more high quality of digital images.

  • The steel wire or steel bar processing process applied to the manufacture of various bolts and power transmission shafts was improved by applying in-line phosphate film treatment technology. By applying a polymer lubricant for a non-reactive metal forming process and a non-reactive non-phosphorus lubricating coating agent, the film formation for each process time was comparatively analyzed and reviewed. Compared to the nine processes applied previously, the in-line phosphate film treatment technology applied with only two processes has been effectively improved in terms of reduction of treatment time, reduction of facility installation area, prevention of water pollution due to wastewater, and non-use of ozone-depleting substances. In addition, it was found that it can have an important effect on productivity improvement and price competitiveness from the simplification of quality control and process control as well as improvement of the working environment.

  • This study focuses on analyzing the trend of Korean movies and the issues caused by industrialization and the alternatives. The results are as follows: first, there does not exist distinctive genre movie as most of the movie producers concentrate on thoughtless genre fusion of movie, simply hoping for box office success. Second, Giant companies that has large amounts of money and distributors tend to monopolize production, distribution, and running of movie. Consequently, the development of diversity and artistry is absolutely impeded. Third, the structure of Korean movie industry make some well-known movie stars survive the film world and staff members and actors except them face economic difficulty. The solution plans for the problems mentioned above can be drawn like this; first, genre film with distinctive features should be developed. Second, the monopolistic structure of the screen should be changed. Legal organizations are required to redesign the system of unfair Korean film industry. Third, it is suggested that quantitative expansion of special theaters of diversity film be urgently needed. Fourth, appearance fees given to popular movie stars, actors, and staff members have to be provided in a balanced way. Fifth, the way for revitalization of film production should be found through the legal examination of fund for film development. Last but not least, the profit from the additional film market ought to be made.

  • This study empirically identified and sought implications for the degree of desire by film crews to participate in overseas production and the factors affecting them, based on the recognition that the active participation of skilled film crews in overseas production and joint ventures can be an alternative to the poor treatment of domestic film industry sites and the reduction of job losses due to problems with career barriers. In order for respondents to verify research questions, binomial logistic and marginal effects analysis using SPSS and STATA, the data obtained by surveying 402 film crews operating in various areas. The notable findings are as follow: First, about 65%(263 people) of the respondents expressed their desire to participate in overseas activity, indicating that a considerable number of film crews are looking forward to opportunities with overseas productions. Second, major factors that have a positive effect on film crews' need to participate in overseas activities have been found to be professionality, artistic identity, Korean Wave persistence, and career barriers. In other words, the higher the professionality, the more clearly the identity of the artist, the more positive expectations of the possibility of the Korean Wave continuing, and the more serious the problem of career disability, the clearer was the desire to participate in overseas production and joint-work activities.
