Development of TIM Module for Construction PDM (PDM 구축을 위한 TIM 모듈개발)

  • In this paper, development of TIM Module for constructing PDM will be introduced. Technical information relevant product data influences cost, quality, precision and productivity. One of the very important feature of product data is organizing not by oneself but very closed to many technical information such as document, file, image and analysis sheet. To manage various technical information, several kinds of management system are used in multi level of production system. PDM and TIM systems are being developed for suitable purpose and are in need of Network technology, Information Technology, Database, sharing and distributing information. Developed TIM system is based on Web environment. By using this system, we can manage systematic technical information and reduce cost for constructing PDM system. And also we will put to practical use another technical information management system for mold plant.

  • Due to the emerging of high-speed network, lots of interests of access to remote data have increased. Those interests motivate using of Cooperative Caching that uses remote cache like local cache by sharing other clients' cache. The conventional algorithm like GMS(Global Memory Service) has some disadvantages that occurred bottleneck and decreasing performance because of exchanges of many messages to server or manager. On the other hand, Hint-based algorithm resolves a GMS's server bottleneck as each client has hint information of all blocks. But Hint-based algorithm also causes some problems such as inaccurate information in it, if it has too old hint information. In this paper, we offer the policy that supplement bottleneck and inaccuracy; by using file identifier that can search for the lookup table and by exchanging oldest block information between each client periodically.

  • Authority control enables us to retrieve information accurately by coordination and cross reference of headings. It is considered that authority control is needed in machine readable catalogs as well as in conventional catalogs. Taylor, Maxwell and Frost divided automated authority control systems into major vendor and network systems then available into two groups. The first group was defined as a system that processes a library's machine readable catalogs on the tape against an automated authority file. The second group offers an online access to catalogs and authority records. This group was further subdivided into linked or integrated systems and unlinked systems. If authority work is shared with many libraries the costs can be considerably reduced and the quality of catalog data base can be controled by standardization of headings used in participating libraries. The NACO is a project for sharing of authority records started in 1977 by L.C. And LSP furthers the ability to share authority records. A project as the NACO is necessary not only in America but also in the other countries The responsible organizations for national bibliographies of the countries must take much interest in these matters.

  • Peer-to-Peer(P2P) 시스템의 주된 목적은 공유 파일을 효과적으로 관리하며 공유 파일을 저장한 노드의 위치를 보다 효율적으로 검색하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Chord 기법을 기반으로 울트라피어 노드들로만 구성된 DHT 링과 그 하부에 또 하나의 서브 DHT 링을 가진 다중 링 구조를 사용하여 기존 DHT 프로토콜에 비해 보다 확장이 용이하며, 보다 효율적인 파일 공유 기법을 제시하였다.

  • Due to the increasing use of smart phones, using Wifi, Wibro of mobile devices spread. Accordingly, Need of using peer-to-peer file sharing between mobile devices is growing. However, common Peer-to-Peer(P2P) system is too complex and is not suitable to be applied to mobile devices. Thus, the need of research has shown to improve way in a mobile environment that has a constraints as mobility and the scope of communication. Among them, there is a Chord as contents look up algorithm. Chord is the issue. Chord as the DHT-based P2P protocol shares files, index-key and distributed key across the network. However, exist Chord doesn't consider the mobility. So, It has a lot of problems in the mobile environment. Thus, in this paper, I will try to explore an appropriate way of Chord in a mobile environment.

  • SAN(Storage Area Network)은 현재 폭발적으로 증가하는 데이터의 관리를 위해 대용량의 공유 저장장치를 사용하는 분산 환경의 고속 네트워크 저장 시스템이다. SAN 환경에서는 여러 호스트들에게 대용량 저장장치의 동시 접근을 허용함으로써 사용자에게 고 확장성과 신뢰성, 그리고 고 가용성을 제공해 준다. 그 결과 여러 호스트에 의해 공유되는 저장장치의 자료에 대한 비 일관성 문제가 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 여러 호스트에 의해 동시 접근되는 공유 저장장치의 데이터 일관성을 유지하기 위한 락킹 모듈을 리눅스 운영체제 기반에서 구현하고, 그 성능을 평가한다.

  • It is difficult to support collaborative design with a conventional ship CAD system which manages design information using files. In this research, file storage has been replaced with a database. This paper describes the OpenDIS which is an interface between the geometric kernel and the database. Its main purpose is to implement the CAD system which has the STEP database as the native storage. A prototype CAD system has been implemented using that OpenDIS interface which is implemented by OpenCascade geometric kernel and the Objectstore object-oriented database. The STEP methodology is used as the database schema. This CAD system has been applied to the hull design of a ship in order to verify the usefulness of the interface.

  • This study was conducted to develop the Apartment Information System. This integrated information system is designed to provide a large number of users with the convenient, economical, and safe life in the apartment complex. The characteristics of this system are as follows; 1) The system was developed by CAD technology using 2D and 3D methods with Web base. 2) This system has 2-Tire structures which are able to embody the geographic information on the Web base without special Spatial Engine. 3) Since the spatial data applied to this system is a vector file format, the speed of electrical transmission is fast and it makes possible to search spatially for the client method. The results of this study may contribute to make use of the information system for apartment complex as follows; 1) This system can be used together by the communities of apartment residence, maintenance company and construction company. 2) Also this system can help residence to communicate sharing information and can support the apartment management with open information and clarity. Expecially, the practical data gathering was made for this study only.
