Robust Fuzzy Logic Current and Speed Controllers for Field-Oriented Induction Motor Drive

  • This paper presents analysis, design and simulation for the indirect field orientation control (IFOC) of induction machine drive system. The dynamic performance of the IFOC under nominal and detuned parameters of the induction machine is established. A conventional proportional plus integral-derivative (PI-D) two-degree-of-freedom controller (2DOFC) is designed and analysed for an ideal IFOC induction machine drive at nominal parameters with the desired dynamic response. Varying the induction machine parameters causes a degredation in the dynamic response for disturbance rejection and tracking performance with PI-D 2DOF speed controller. Therefore, conventional controllers can nut meet a wide range of speed tracking performance under parameter variations. To achieve high- dynamic performance, a proposed robust fuzzy logic controllers (RFLC) for d-axis rotor flux, d-q axis stator currents and rotor speed have been designed and analysed. These controllers provide robust tracking and disturbance rejection performance when detuning occurres and improve the dynamic behavior. The proposed REL controllers provide a fast and accurate dynamic response in tracking and disturbance rejection characteristics under parameter variations. Computer simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed REL controllers and a robust performance is obtained fur IFOC induction machine drive system.

다이어프램형 밸브의 유량특성과 동적성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flow Rate Characteristic and Dynamic Performance on Diaphragm Solenoid Valve)

  • Solenoid valve has used in various industrial field extensively. A solenoid valve has different size, shape and method of operation accordantly to industrial field. Many researchers study on kinds of solenoid valve such as flow rate, dynamic, magnetic field, valve shape and operating method. But the flow rate characteristic and dynamic response time performance on the diaphragm valve are not studied. This paper describes the flow rate characteristic and dynamic response time performance on the diaphragm valve. At first, the diaphragm valve is simulated in AMESim simulation tool. AMESim model found that an effect of valve performance depends on parameter. The parameter is the diaphragm orifice area. And the performance test bench confirms the effect in this parameter. Finally, it finds out the flow rate characteristic and dynamic response time performance on the diaphragm valve.

  • The existing method s for curvature estimation have a common problem in determining a unique smoothong factor. we previously proposed two approaches to overcome that problem: a constrained regularization approach and a mean field annealing approach. We consistently detected corners from the perprocessed smooth boundary obtained by either the constrained eglarization approach or the mean field annealing approach. Moreover, we defined corner sharpness to increase the robustness of both approaches. We evaluate the performance of those methods proposed in this paper. In addition, we show some matching results using a two-dimensional Hopfield neural network in the presence of occlusion as a demonstration of the power of our proposed methods.

  • This paper describes the evaluation methods and criteria used verify field performance of automatic multi-coupler for the PMC rolling stock. Automatic multi-coupler was designed and manufactured by KRRI , Woojin electric machinery CO., and Yujinchajeon MFG.CO., LTD in 1999. Through field performance test of PMC rolling stock, vibration, brake system, assembly and disassembly of complex train were measured on the condition of service operation. As a result, test results meet the criteria proposed by KNR and KRRI.

The Flow Field of Undershot Cross-Flow Water Turbines Based on PIV Measurements and Numerical Analysis

  • The ultimate objective of this study is to develop a water turbine appropriate for low-head open channels to effectively utilize the unused hydropower energy of rivers and agricultural waterways. The application of a cross-flow runner to open channels as an undershot water turbine has been considered and, to this end, a significant simplification was attained by removing the turbine casing. However, the flow field of an undershot cross-flow water turbine possesses free surfaces, and, as a result, the water depth around the runner changes with variation in the rotational speed such that the flow field itself is significantly altered. Thus, clear understanding of the flow fields observed with free surfaces to improve the performance of this turbine is necessary. In this study, the performance of this turbine and the flow field were evaluated through experiments and numerical analysis. The particle image velocimetry technique was used for flow measurements. The experimental results reflecting the performance of this turbine and the flow field were consistent with numerical analysis. In addition, the flow fields at the inlet and outlet regions at the first and second stages of this water turbine were clarified.

저압 지중케이블 고장 위치 검출 실증 시험장 설계 및 구축 (Design and Construction of Test Field for Low Voltage Under Cable Fault Location Detection)

  • 전력 케이블의 고장에 대한 위치를 검출하기 위한 다양한 반사파 계측법들이 연구되고 있다. 하지만 대부분 관련 연구들이 시뮬레이션과 실험실에서의 성능 검증이 이루어지고 있고, 실제 현장과 비슷한 조건에서의 연구는 실증 시험장의 부재로 인해 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 케이블 고장 검출 장치의 표준화된 성능 시험과, 장비 운영 교육을 위한 실증 시험장을 설계 및 구축하였다. 구축된 실증시험장에서는 100m, 200m 거리에서 단선, 합선, 반단선, 접촉 불량 고장을 발생시켰고 최대 거리 측정 시험을 위해 1km 케이블을 설치하였다. 이러한 실증시험장은 향후 케이블 고장 검출 기술의 개발과 표준화, 그리고 장비 성능 검증 및 인증 시험 등을 위해 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • In this paper, we described about methods and results to verify the Tx/Rx beam characteristics of a planar active phased array antenna as using a near-field measurement. The near-field system can effectively measure multiple beams and predict the performance degradation due to the partial failure of individual elements. Also, it can accurately predict the EIRP relating to detection performance of the active phased array radar. We briefly described the near-field measurement method to verify the Tx/Rx beam characteristics, and then verified the effectiveness of measurement method by analyzing the measured results.

도시철도 직류 비접지 급전계통에서의 선택 지락보호시스템의 성능평가 (An Evaluation of Selective Grounding Fault Protective Relaying Technique Performance on the Ungrounded DC Traction Power Supply System)

  • This paper presents to verify the selective grounding fault protective relaying technique for the ungrounded DC traction power supply system. This system selectively blocks fault section when grounding fault occurred. In order to perform this verification, field test facilities have been installed on Oesam substation and Worldcup-Stadium substation, and field test process has been suggested. Also, selective grounding fault protective relaying components and rail voltage reduction device have been tested with the various trial examinations. In order to compare and evaluate performance of the selective grounding fault protective relaying function, field test system was modeled and the system fault simulation results were compared and evaluated with the field test result. Performance of selective grounding fault protective relaying function was evaluated with the above-mentioned process, and the fact that the system recognizes fault section irrespective of insulation between rail and ground and fault resistance from grounding fault.

리저버 탱크의 Die Turning Injection 적용을 위한 Multi-field CAE 해석 (A multi-field CAE analysis for die turning injection application of reservoir fluid tank)

  • In this study, die turning injection(DTI) mold design for manufacturing reservoir fluid tanks used for cooling in-vehicle batteries, inverters, and motors was conducted based on multi-field CAE. Part design, performance evaluation, and mold design of the reservoir fluid tank was performed. The frequency response characteristics through modal and harmonic response analysis to satisfy the automotive performance test items for the designed part were examined. Analysis of re-melting characteristics and structural analysis of the driving part for designing the rotating die of the DTI mold were performed. Part design was possible when the natural frequency performance value of 32Hz or higher was satisfied through finite element analysis, and the temperature distribution and deformation characteristics of the part after injection molding were found through the first injection molding analysis. In addition, it can be seen that the temperature change of the primary part greatly influences the re-melting characteristics during the secondary injection. The minimum force for driving the turning die of the designed mold was calculated through structural analysis. Hydraulic system design was possible. Finally, a precise and efficient DTI mold design for the reservoir fluid tank was possible through presented multi-field CAE process.

금속 폼 유로가 고분자전해질 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향 (Metal Foam Flow Field Effect on PEMFC Performance)

  • 고분자전해질 연료전지에서 분리판 유로 형상은 유체 공급과 물 및 열 확산, 접촉 저항 등에 영향을 주는 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 25 cm2 단위 전지를 이용하여 공기극에 구리폼을 적용한 분리판을 이용하여 연료전지 성능 평가를 수행하였다. 압력과 상대습도 조건에 대한 영향을 분극 곡선과 전기화학적 임피던스 분광법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 구리폼의 ohmic 저항이 높아 사형유로형상 보다 연료전지 성능은 낮았지만, 다공성 구조로 인한 균일한 연료 분포로 활성화 손실과 물질전달 손실이 적은 것을 확인하였다. 구리폼의 소수성이 높아 물 배출이 유리한 장점이 있지만, 저가습 조건에서는 사형유로에 비하여 전해질막 수화도가 낮은 것을 확인하였다. 다공성 금속 분리판은 균일한 압력 분포와 효과적인 수분 배출로 연료전지 성능을 개선할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 저항을 최소화할 수 있도록 금속폼의 물성에 대한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다.
