  • In this paper, we propose a Hopfield model for solving the part-matching in case that is the number of parts and positions are changed. The goal of this paper is to minimize part-connection in pairs and total path of part-connections. Therefore, this kind of problem is referred to as a combinatiorial optimization problem. First of all, we review the theoretical basis for Hopfield model and present two optimal algorithms of part-matching. The first algorithm is Traveling Salesman Problem(TSP) which improved the original and the second algorithm is Wdighted Matching Problem (WMP). Finally, we show demonstration through com- puter simulation and analyze the stability and feasibility of the generated solutions for the proposed con- nection methods. Therefore, we prove that the second algorithm is better than the first algorithm.

  • This paper presents a method of sensitivity analysis for the infeasible interior point method when a new variable is introduced. For the sensitivity analysis in introducing a new variable, we present a method to find an optimal solution to the modified problem. If dual feasibility is satisfied, the optimal solution to the modified problem is the same as that of the original problem. If dual feasibility is not satisfied, we first check whether the optimal solution to the modified problem can be easily obtained by moving only dual solution to the original problem. If it is possible, the optimal solution to the modified problem is obtained by simple modification of the optimal solution to the original problem. Otherwise, a method to set an initial solution for the infeasible interior point method is presented to reduce the number of iterations required. The experimental results are presented to demonstrate that the proposed method works better.

  • The purpose of this study evaluates a feasibility and economical efficiency of new renewable energy. According as weather change is serious problem now days, every people make attention to the reduction of greenhouse gas. The revitalization of new renewable energy creates the variety of energy source, stability of energy supply and reduction of greenhouse gas. In this study evaluates a feasibility and economical efficiency from new renewable energy of various photo voltaics, wind power, small hydro and biogas. Feasibility does in standard of technical characteristic, politic support, marketability, establishment present condition and development aim. Economical efficiency does in standard of developmental unit cost, utilization factor, equipment life, politic support cost, interest ratio. The results of this study were as follows photo voltaics, wind, small hydropower, biogas in order feasibility is high. Developmental unit cost, utilization factor, equipment life, politic support cost and analyzed the relationship of interest ratio fluctuation and economical efficiency. From all new renewable energy the utilization factor most is important in economical efficiency but necessary utilization factor is difficult because environmental problem.

  • Various methods have been used to solve the problem of the evaluation of the complex decision-making. In the case of public projects, used the AHP method to evaluate the pre-feasibility of the projects. In this paper, The pre-feasibility was referring to the 'General guidelines for the pre-feasibility' of the KDI and was used the AHP to evaluate for public projects of the H-city. In order to achieve this object, the structured hierarchical model and questionnaire developed based on the evaluation guidelines of the KDI. Also, the weight of evaluation factor was calculated based on the AHP method and was obtained the evaluation results for the project implementation alternative.

  • This study aims to examine the usefulness on the Evaluation Process for the Feasibility & Priority of A Certain Public Projects. and the Methodology used AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) which used pairwise comparisons of the alternatives and criteria for solving discrete alternative multicriteria decision problems. In this paper, we present a similar phenomenon, rank reversal problem, when we apply the AHP to group decision making process. The problem is identified by an example problem in that the previous rank order of Public Projects choices. we also present three different methods to prevent the undesirable characteristic of the original AHP in appling to Decision Making Process.

  • The choice of big public investment project needs an appropriate feasibility analysis before it is implemented, bemuse a rot wisely chosen one would bring about big and longrun societal costs. But the feasibility analysis for the big public investment project in Korea has been done without linking the economic benefits and environmental damages. Consequently social conflicts arose frequently during and after project implementation, owing to such concerns asincreasing costs and serious ecological damages. The recent social conflict over the Saemangeum Project is a typical case. This reclamation project began in 1991 and finished 60% of the whole process in 1999, when its feasibility was again assessed under the public pressure by the joint assessment team consisting of both citizen's and government's professionals. Even the assessment report by this joint team could not show the convincing results owing to the improper assessment procedure and failure to set proper feasibility criteria. This paper pointed out the limitations of our current procedure of feasibility assessment and identified the concrete problems that atosee during the recent reassessment process of the Saemangeum reclamation project by the joint team. In order to improve the current problem-ridden practices, it is concluded by the policy recommendation for establishing a right feasibility assessment procedure for the public investment projects.

  • The purpose of this paper is to find the most vital arc in the minimum cost flow problem. The most vital arc is the arc whose removal results in the greatest influence in the costs or the amount of demands in a given minimum cost flow network. This problem can be well applied to the conflict situations such as military logistics network or communications network. In this situation, network user wants to know which arcs are the most vital to him so that he can reinforce these arcs against attack, while interdictor wants to destroy these arcs which increase the distance of the shortest path most through the network. When one of arcs is removed from the network of the minimum cost flow problem, two kinds of situations can be occurred ; breaking feasibility and increasing cost. In case of breaking feasibility, the rank of arcs are determined using the amount of modified flow in a related network which is made of modifying the optimal alternative of the minimum cost flow problem. The rank of arcs with the increased costs are determined by using a method which finds the directed cycle with the minimum cost in a related network.

  • A stochastic dynamic lot sizing problem for multi-item is suggested in the case that the distribution of the cumulative demand is known over finite planning horizons and all unsatisfied demand is fully backlogged. Each item is produced simultaneously at a variable ratio of input resources employed whenever setup is incurred. A dynamic programming algorithm is proposed to find the optimal production policy, which resembles the Wagner-Whitin algorithm for the deterministic case problem but with some additional feasibility constraints.

  • Rail Route Alignment in hilly terrain is a difficult task to implement as several natural constraints poses threat to the safety and stability of the alignment. The conventional methods followed to find out the final location survey or the feasibility analysis for alignment is time taking consuming. Some times, due to inaccessibility of the terrain it becomes impossible to carry out such works. The construction works in hilly terrain, which are associated with the proposed alignment, are not same as carried out in plane areas due to a vast contrast between the two areas. Different geological structures such as faults, thrusts, synclines and anticlines are a big problem to carry out normal construction practices. Thus for a safe and stable railway route in the unstable hilly areas, it is required to carry out the feasibility analysis of the proposed alignment to assist the policy makers for a successful implementation of the alignment. In the present work Remote Sensing and GIS has been successfully used to carry out geological feasibility and slope stability analysis for rail route alignment work.

  • This study the problem of deposition uniformity observed during Mist-CVD deposition experiments. The TRIZ's ADRIGE algorithm, a problem-solving technique, is utilized to systematically analyze the issue and propose solutions. Through problem and resource analysis, technical contradictions are identified regarding the precursor's volume and its path when it encounters the substrate. To resolve these contradictions, the concept of applying the principle of dimensional change to transform the precursor's three-dimensional path into a one-dimensional path is suggested. The chosen solution involves the design of an enhanced Mist-CVD system, which is evaluated for feasibility and analyzed using computational fluid dynamics. The analysis confirms that the deposition uniformity consistently follows a pattern and demonstrates an improvement in uniformity. The improved Mist-CVD equipment is validated through analysis, providing evidence of its feasibility and yielding satisfactory results.
