PZT를 이용한 광 정보저장기기용 액추에이터의 트랙 추적제어 (Track-following Control of an Optical Pick-up Actuator Using PZT)

  • This paper proposes a swing-arm type dual-stage actuator, which consists of a PZT actuator for fine motion and a VCM(voice coil motor) for coarse motion, for an SFF ODD(small form factor optical disk drive), in order to achieve fast access speed and precise track-following control. Over the past few decades there have been a lot of researches related to the VCM and dual-stage actuator. In this paper, we focus our attention on the design and control of the PZT actuator. Due to the dual cantilever structure. the PZT actuator can generate precise translational tracking motion at its tip to which an optical pickup is attached. and the effect of hysteric behavior of the PZT element is reduced. The dynamic model of the PZT actuator is derived by using the Hamilton's principle, and verified by comparing it with the experimental frequency response. The sliding mode control is designed in order to be robust against modeling uncertainties. Simulations and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the suggested control scheme.

순차적 가설 검증을 이용한 수중 표적 판별 (Underwater Target Discrimination Using a Sequential Hypothesis Test)

  • 이 논문에서는 수중 표적추적을 방해하는 교란근원으로부터 추적표적을 판별해 내기 위한 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 이 표적 판별 알고리듬은 순차적 가설 검증을 이용한다. 교란근원은 추적표적으로부터 분리되어, 정지된 위치에서 거짓의 시선 거리와 도플러 측정을 발생시켜 표적으로 혼동되도록 한 것이다. 제안된 알고리듬은 표적운동과 교란근원의 위치를 추정하기 위한 확장 Kalman필터의 이노베이션으로부터 계산된 로그 공산비를 이용하여 판별을 위한 검증을 수행한다. 다양한 시나리오에 대한 수치실험을 통해 제안된 알고리듬이 빠른 시간내에 높은 성공률로 표적과 교란근원을 판별할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

퍼지기법을 이용한 영상분할 및 물체추적에 관한 연구 (A Study on Image Segmentation and Tracking based on Fuzzy Method)

  • 최근에 지능형 로봇분야에서 주위 카메라를 기반으로 실시간으로 환경인식 및 물체 추적 등 다양한 분야에서 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 환경인식 및 물체 추적은 결국 배경과 관심물체를 분리하는 것이라고 볼 수 있는 데, 차 연산을 이용하여 물체의 움직임만을 배경으로 분리하는 방법과 물체인식을 통해 배경으로부터 분리하여 추적하는 방법에 대한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 배경과 물체 사이에서 변화하는 색상의 변화를 퍼지기법을 이용하여 물체를 배경과 분리하여 실시간으로 물체를 추적하고자 한다. 실시간 물체 추적을 위해 전체영상에 대한 전역적 탐색을 통해 여러 후보 물체 중 관심물체를 배경에서 추출 후, 추출된 물체의 크기에 따른 지역탐색을 통하여 물체를 추적하는 방법이다. 그리고 본 논문에서는 ARM 프로세서를 이용한 카메라시스템을 제작하여 실시간으로 영상분활을 실험하였다.

A Fast and Accurate Face Tracking Scheme by using Depth Information in Addition to Texture Information

  • This paper proposes a face tracking scheme that is a combination of a face detection algorithm and a face tracking algorithm. The proposed face detection algorithm basically uses the Adaboost algorithm, but the amount of search area is dramatically reduced, by using skin color and motion information in the depth map. Also, we propose a face tracking algorithm that uses a template matching method with depth information only. It also includes an early termination scheme, by a spiral search for template matching, which reduces the operation time with small loss in accuracy. It also incorporates an additional simple refinement process to make the loss in accuracy smaller. When the face tracking scheme fails to track the face, it automatically goes back to the face detection scheme, to find a new face to track. The two schemes are experimented with some home-made test sequences, and some in public. The experimental results are compared to show that they outperform the existing methods in accuracy and speed. Also we show some trade-offs between the tracking accuracy and the execution time for broader application.

GPGPU 기반의 깊이 정보를 이용한 고속 얼굴 추적에 대한 연구 (A Study on High Speed Face Tracking using the GPGPU-based Depth Information)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴을 검출하고 GPU 기반으로 얼굴을 고속으로 추적하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 얼굴 검출에서는 깊이영상과 RGB영상을 사용하고, 기존의 방법인 Adaboost을 이용하지만 움직임 영역과 피부색 영역을 이용하여 Adaboost의 입력영상을 제한하여 얼굴을 검출하였다. 얼굴 검출과는 다르게 얼굴 추적은 깊이 정보만을 사용하였다. 기본적으로 얼굴 추적에서는 템플릿과 매칭 된 블록을 찾는 템플릿 매칭 방법을 사용하였다. 또한 고속으로 얼굴을 추적하기 위해서 GPU를 이용하여 템플릿 매칭을 병렬하여 연산하였다. 실험결과 CPU와 GPU을 비교 하였을 때 GPU 수행속도가 최대 49배까지 향상되는 것을 확인하였다.

Shear strength behaviors of grouts under the blasting induced vibrations

  • Umbrella Arch Method (UAM) often employed in the tunnel construction under poor rock mass conditions in Korea. Insertion of steel pipes at the periphery of the tunnel and infiltration of grouts along the pipes into the rock masses increases tunnel stability. There are two major effects of grouts expected at the tunnel face: 1) increase of face stability by enhancing the frictional resistance of discontinuities and 2) decrease of permeability along the rock masses. Increase of resistance and decrease of permeability requires a certain curing time for the grout. In Korea, we require 24 hours for curing of grout, which means no progress of excavation for 24 hours after infiltration of grouts. This step delays the tunnel construction sequences. To eliminate such inefficiency, we propose MTG (Method for Tunnel construction using Grouting technology), which uses extended length of steel pipes (14 m) compared to conventional pipe roof method (12 m). The merit of MTG is the reduction of curing time. Because of the approximately 2 m extension of the length of steel pipe, blasting can be done after infiltration of grouting. For this paper, we conducted experiments on the shear strength behaviors of grout infilled rock joint with elapsing of curing time and blasting induced vibration. The results show that blasting induced vibration under MTG does not influence the mechanical features of grout material, which indicates no influence on the mechanical behaviors of grout, contributing to the stability of tunnels during excavation. This result indicates that MTG is a cost effective and fast construction method for tunneling in Korea.

반능동 레이저 탐색기를 사용하는 유도무기체계의 레이저 조사기 연구 (A Study on the Laser Designator for the Missile System Using Semi-Active Laser Seeker)

  • Semi-active laser missile systems with high accuracy are necessary to asymmetric threats, such as UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). They are usually used to attack stationary or slow moving targets, therefore we should study on the laser designator which can detect and track fast moving targets in order to deal with UAV. In this study, design specifications are came up through performance analysis of existing laser designators, and laser designation method for fast moving target is developed. The detection and tracking performance of developed laser designator are verified through inside/outside tests on ground/aerial stationary/moving targets. Through this study, we obtain laser designator techniques that could be applied to actual semi-active laser missile systems.

  • WiFi는 엑세스 포인트(AP)를 발견하고 링크 층 핸드오프를 위해 스테이션과 AP간의 인증 및 새로운 BSS나 ESS로의 접속에 관한 절차를 정의한다 WiFi 핫스폿 서비스의 주요 문제점 중 하나는 "통과-이동체(Passing Object)"에 관한 것이다. WiFi는 BSS나 ESS에서 이웃하는 두 AP들 간의 메시지 교환을 기술하고 있다. 만일 링크 층 핸드오프를 완료하기 전에 이동체가 이웃 AP를 그대로 통과한다면 터널링된 패킷이 전달되어야 하는 목적지를 잃게 될 수 있다. 이 논문에서, 우리는 고속 이동체를 추적하기 위해 서비스 도메인에 "위치 관리 엔티티(Positioning Entity)"를 정의하고 기존 방법과의 이동 성능을 비교하였다.

Trajectory tracking and active vibration suppression of a smart Single-Link flexible arm using a composite control design

  • This paper is concerned with the trajectory tracking and vibration suppression of a single-link flexible arm by using piezoelectric materials. The dynamics of a single flexible arm with PZT patches as sensor and actuator is derived using extended Hamilton's principle. Resulting equations show that the coupled beam dynamics including beam vibration and its rigid in-plane rotation takes place in two different time scales. By using singular perturbation theory, the system dynamics is divided into two subsystems. Then, a composite control scheme is elaborated that makes the orientation of the arm track a desired trajectory while suppressing its vibration. The proposed controller has two parts: one is a tracking controller designed for the slow (rigid) subsystem, and the other one is a stabilizing controller for the fast (flexible) subsystem. The outputs considered for the system are angular position of the hub and voltage of the sensor mounted on the structure. To avoid requiring further measurements of beam vibration and also angular velocity of the hub for the fast and slow control laws, respectively, two sliding mode observers for estimating the unknown states are also designed.

고기동 표적 추적 성능 개선을 위한 연구 (Performance Improvement for Tracking Small Targets)

  • In this paper, a new realtime algorithm called the RTPBTD-HPDAF (Recursive Temporal Profile Base Target Detection with Highest Probability Data Association Filter) is presented for tracking fast moving small targets with IIR (Imaging Infrared) sensor systems. Spatial filter algorithms are mainly used for target in IIR sensor system detection and tracking however they often generate high density clutter due to various shapes of cloud. The TPBTD (Temporal Profile Base Target Detection) algorithm based on the analysis of temporal behavior of individual pixels is known to have good performance for detection and tracking of fast moving target with suppressing clutter. However it is not suitable to detect stationary and abruptly maneuvering targets. Moreover its computational load may not be negligible. The PTPBTD-HPDAF algorithm proposed in this paper for real-time target detection and tracking is shown to be computationally cheap while it has benefit of tracking targets with abrupt maneuvers. The performance of the proposed RTPBTD-HPDAF algorithm is tested and compared with the spatial filter with HPDAF algorithm for run-time and track initiation at real IIR video.
