This paper related with the performance of SE-MMA (Signed-Error MMA) that is the reduction of computational operation number in algorithm than MMA blind eualization algorithm which are possible to elimination of intersymbol interferance in the band limited and time dispersive nonlinear communication channel. In MMA algorithm which are possible to reduction of amplitude and phase rotation by intersymbol interference that is occurred in channel without using the training sequence, it uses the error signal that is the difference of the equalizer output and constant modulus, the statisticlly characteristic of transmitted signal. But in SE-MMA, it uses the polarity of the error signal, then it is possible to reduce the updating the tap coefficient and to simplify the H/W implementation. The computer simulation were performed in order to compare the performance of SE-MMA and conventional MMA algorithm. For this, the recovered signal constellation that is the output of the equalizer, the convergence performance by MSE, MD (maximum distortion) and residual isi characteristic learning curve, SER were used. As a result of simulation, the SE-MMA has more fast convergence speed than the MMA. But in the other index after reaching the seady state, it gives more worst performance values in the used index.
A $Li_2O-2SiO_2$ ($LS_2$) glass was investigated as a lithium-ion conducting oxide glass, which is applicable to a fast ionic conductor even at low temperature due to its high mechanical strength and chemical stability. The $Li_2O-2SiO_2$ glass is likely to be broken into small pieces when quenched; thus, it is difficult to fabricate a specifically sized sample. The production of properly sized glass samples is necessary for device applications. In this study, we applied spark plasma sintering (SPS) to fabricate $LS_2$ glass samples which have a particular size as well as high transparency. The sintered samples, $15mm\phi{\times}2mmT$ in size, ($LS_2$-s) were produced by SPS between $480^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$ at 45MPa for 3~5mim, after which the thermal and dielectric properties of the $LS_2$-s samples were compared with those of quenched glass ($LS_2$-q) samples. Thermal behavior, crystalline structure, and electrical conductivity of both samples were analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and an impedance/gain-phase analyzer, respectively. The results showed that the $LS_2$-s had an amorphous structure, like the $LS_2$-q sample, and that both samples took on the lithium disilicate structure after the heat treatment at $800^{\circ}C$. We observed similar dielectric peaks in both of the samples between room temperature and $700^{\circ}C$. The DC activation energies of the $LS_2$-q and $LS_2$-s samples were $0.48{\pm}0.05eV$ and $0.66{\pm}0.04eV$, while the AC activation energies were $0.48{\pm}0.05eV$ and $0.68{\pm}0.04eV$, respectively.

A 2D/3D complex optical system and its vision inspection algerian is proposed and implemented as a single probe system for high speed, precise vision inspection of the solder pastes. One pass un length labeling algorithm is proposed instead of the conventional two pass labeling algorithm for fast extraction of the 2D shape of the solder paste image from the recent line-scan camera as well as the conventional area-scan camera, and the optical probe path generation is also proposed for the efficient 2D/3D inspection. The Moire interferometry-based phase shift algerian and its optical system implementation is introduced, instead of the conventional laser slit-beam method, for the high precision 3D vision inspection. All of the time-critical algorithms are MMX SIMD parallel-coded for further speedup. The proposed system is implemented for simultaneous 2D/3D inspection of 10mm${\times}$10mm FOV with resolutions of 10 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for both x, y axis and 1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ for z axis. Experiments conducted on several nBs show that the 2D/3D inspection of an FOV, excluding an image capturing, results in high speed of about 0.011sec/0.01sec, respectively, after image capturing, with $\pm$1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ height accuracy.

A doppler shift is generated by moving a transmitter or receiver operated in communication systems. The doppler frequency shift between a transmitter and a receiver or the frequency offset present in transceivers must be removed to get the wanted system performance. FTS is used for preventing an accident from operating abnormally and for guaranteeing public protection. A launching vehicle's initial velocity is very fast in order to escape the earth and the amount of doppler shift is large. Recently many studies to adopt the next generation FTS are ongoing. To introduce new FTS, the effects of doppler shift on the performance of the new FTS must be studied. In this paper the doppler effect caused by launching vehicle's velocity affecting the performance of FTS receiver is investigated into two cases, one is for EFTS as a digital FTS and the other is for FTS using a tone signal. Noncoherent DPSK and noncoherent CPFSK are considered as the modulation methods of EFTS. In the cases of the doppler frequency shift of 200Hz present in EFTS using noncoherent DPSK and noncoherent CPFSK are simulated. Simulation results show that $E_b/N_o$ of 0.5dB deteriorates in the region of near BER of about $10^{-5}$ in RS coding. And there is no performance variation in $E_b/N_o$ or $E_b/N_o$ is worsened about 0.1dB in the same BER region for the case of using convolutional and BCH coding. Quadrature detector used in FTS using tone signals is not influenced by the doppler frequency shift.
In order to investigate the interaction characteristics of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) with various solvents such as water, ethanol, and iso-propanol, Inverse Gas Chromatography(IGC) at finite concentration, which is a very fast, accurate, and thus promising technique in thermodynamic study of polymer systems, is employed. By measuring the specific retention volumes of the probes, the interaction parameters are calculated by means of the Flory-Huggins equation. From the results, the interaction parameters of the probes are, as expected due to the hydrophobicity of the polymer, found to be of large positive values (2$2.0{\times}10^{-3}mol/g$. For the linear PDMS, interpretation of the space distribution of molecules is performed by the Kirkwood-Buff-Zimm(KBZ) integrals, which give intuitive information about physical properties. From the KBZ integrals, water does not show the tendency of preferential solvation with the PDMS but formed self-cluster. The larger solvent molecules show a stronger tendency to distribute more randomly in the mixture.
Electrolessly deposited Co (Re,P) was investigated as a possible capping layer for Cu wires. 50 nm Co (Re,P) films were deposited on Cu/Ti-coated silicon wafers which acted as a catalytic seed and an adhesion layer, respectively. To obtain the optimized bath composition, electroless deposition was studied through an electrochemical approach via a linear sweep voltammetry analysis. The results of using this method showed that the best deposition conditions were a $CoSO_4$ concentration of 0.082 mol/l, a solution pH of 9, a $KReO_4$ concentration of 0.0003 mol/l and sodium hypophosphite concentration of 0.1 mol/L at $80^{\circ}C$. The thermal stability of the Co (Re,P) layer as a barrier preventing Cu was evaluated using Auger electron spectroscopy and a Scanning calorimeter. The measurement results showed that Re impurities stabilized the h.c.p. phase up to $550^{\circ}C$ and that the Co (Re,P) film efficiently blocked Cu diffusion under an annealing temperature of $400^{\circ}C$ for 1hr. The good barrier properties that were observed can be explained by the nano-sized grains along with the blocking effect of the impurities at the fast diffusion path of the grain boundaries. The transformation temperature from the amorphous to crystal structure is increased by doping the Re.

We prepared γ-alumina beads using the amorphous alumina, obtained by fast calcination of gibbsite, and its were immersed in aqueous solution of the mixture of 21.87% nitric acid and 28.57% acetic acid. The beads thus were hydrothermaly treated at 200$^{\circ}$C for 3h, and were investigated changes of crystal, pore characteristics, $N_2$ adsorption and desorption isotherms, mechanical strengths and thermal resistance. Acicular platelet crystals of 0.1∼0.3${\mu}$m were transformed into acicular boehmite crystals of 1∼2${\mu}$m having the same crystal structure. Through this changes, we found that reversible phase transformation due to hydrothermal reaction took placed between boehmite and ${\gamma}$-alumina. In comparison to the ${\gamma}$-alumina bead before hydrothermal treatment, $N_2$ adsorption capacity was increased from 450㎖/g to 670㎖/g, and pore volume between 100${\AA}$ and 1000${\AA}$ was increased form 0.15㎖/g to 0.77㎖g, and mechanical strength was increased form 1.4MPa to 2.2MPa. Also, it showed the remarkable thermal resistance which sustained ${\theta}$-alumina crystal structure and pores between 100${\AA}$ and 1000${\AA}$ at 1000$^{\circ}$C in 40vol% steam.
In order to identify PCP glucose conjugates transformed from PCP in soybean and rice cell suspension cultures, the purified metabolites were acetylated, purified twice by HPLC using a normal and a reversed phase column, and then subjected to fast atom bombardment(FAB) mass spectrometric analysis. As were the conjugates, their acetylated derivatives of the glucose conjugates formed at the early stage(48 hr) of metabolism were separated by HPLC into three fractions. FABMS analysis of each fraction revealed that, at least in two fractions, the locations of the spectral peaks were practically coincident with those deducible from the structures of pentachlorophenyl and tetrachlorophenyl ${\beta}-D-glucopyranosides$. Based on information obtained from mass spectral and chromatographic analysis of not only the water-soluble metabolites but also aglycones and glycone, it is concluded that PCP is primarily metabolized to glucose conjugates, which account for more than 50% recovery of the PCP-conveyed radioactivity from the water soluble metabolites : The conjugates are mainly made up of pentachlorophenyl ${\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$, tetrachlorophenyl ${\beta}-D-glucopyranosides$( probably 2 or more isomers), and 2-hydroxy-3,4,5,6-tetrachlorophenyl ${\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$.

The purpose on this study was to develop a new improved chromatographic method for determination of trace phenols from environmental waste water. The research was carried out with selected 8 phenols, and solid-phase extraction was employed as sample pretreatment method. The coupling of XAD-4 and Dowex $1{\times}8$ resin as preconcentration column increased the selectivities toward interferences coexisted in matrix. Automation was accomplished with on-line process of pretreatment and HPLC system. After elution of sample through XAD-4 column, phenols were adsorbed by dispersion force, then displaced from it by ACN basified, simultaneously and selectively readsorbed via anion exchange on Dowex $1{\times}8$. Dowex $1{\times}8$ column was washed by water. Phenols readsorbed were removed from Dowex $1{\times}8$ column by a minimum volumn of methanol containing HCl. Each pretreatment step was connected by switching valves and the eluate was directly on-line injected to obtain fast and reliable results into the HPLC. Recovery of phenols was greater than 90%. To examine utility of this method, analysis of phenols from laboratory waste water sample which was added some organic pollutants to find with phenols on environmental waste water were also accomplished without their interference effects.
The retention behaviors of natural gas components were studied on a single column by gas chromatography. The dead time, $t_0$ was obtained by using extrapolation of homologous series to determine capacity factors. The plots of retention data for homologous series and carbon number at different temperatures were shown to converge into a single point, which point was determined as a dead time. The results of the effect of temperature on the column efficiency for n-butane exhibited the plate number, N incerased with temperature, but the resolution among the fast eluted components decreased. The adsorption enthalpy (${\Delta}H^0{_{ads}}$) for each component on 28% DC 200 stationary phase was determined, and in order to investigate the retention behaviors of natural gas components the regression analysis of log $t_R$, log k' and log ${\alpha}$ vs. van der Waals volume(Vw), molecular connectivity index(X) and hydrophobic fragmental constant(f) were carred out. Good correlation was found between log k' vs. Vw, and log k' vs. f. The correlations between the physical properties of natural gas and the physical parameters were investigated by the linear regression analysis. The relationships between Vw vs. molecular weight and heating value(${\Delta}H_{comb}$), X vs. boiling point, and f vs. molecular weight, boiling point and heating value exhibited the high correlation coefficient more than 0.99. Using the regression equation between the heating value of natural gas and Vw the predicted heating values from $C_6$ to $C_{10}$ showed good agreement with those reported in the literature within 0.2% relative error.
