The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of environmental education for early childhood children based on the environment-friendly life style and to improve the possibility of application of it at home and kindergarten. This study reviewed reflectively the early studies on the concepts of ecocentrism, the emerging process of it, the importance of environmental education for early childhood children based on the ecocentrism, and the practice of these kinds of education at home and kindergarten. The main concepts connected to the environment-friendly life style based on ecocentrism, that is, 'preservation of nature', 'interdepentence', 'wholeness', 'equilibrium' are the foundations of environmental education for early childhood children. When these kinds of concepts are considered, the aims of environmental education for early childhood children should be focused on the life style that attaches great importance to the symbiosis of human being and nature. The educational contents and methods in harmony with ecocentrism are as follows: The educational methods should be connected to the education based on ordinariness, the learning through adults' model, the family-community-centered activities, and ways of thinking of the unity of knowledge and conduct. And educational contents should include all of the life styles in clothes, food, and shelter. And the educational methods also should be connected to the education through joint working of children and teacher, play-centered education, activities considering ages and individual variations, and education connected home. And educational contents should include many different kinds of activities of experiencing nature outside home and kindergarten.
The purposes of this study were to measure the correlation between leadership style and job satisfaction in family restaurants, and to compare the effectiveness of two different styles of leadership: transformational and transactional. The questionnaire used in this study was designed to measure all variables in the research model, and was made two kinds for employees and for managers. It was distributed to 550 employees and 12 managers in 16 stores of 4 family restaurants, from September 10 to October 7, 2004. A total of 303 usable employees' questionnaires were received, giving a 55.0% response rate, and all of managers responded. Statistical data analysis was completed using SPSS Win(11.0) for the following analyses: descriptive, reliability, factor, ANOVA, correlation and cluster. The results were as follows. First, the most influential leader was the senior staff in most of the hierarchies that were studied. Second, transformational leadership had a positive correlation with job satisfaction for family restaurant employees, while transactional leadership had a negative correlation. Third, using cluster analysis, four leadership groups were identified: transformational(44%), transactional(29%), a combination of both styles(4%), and unidentifiable style(23%). Fourth the transformational leadership group produced e highest rates job satisfaction for family restaurant employees. The transactional leadership group produced the lowest job satisfaction. According to the results, the most reasonable leadership style in family restaurants is transformational leadership.
This study analyzed the relationships among the components of home management system. Through this it make to explain relationship between values and planning exactly and partially to test empirically system model to home management 650 housewives were adapted as data. Cluster analysis \chi$2 and ANOVA were used as statistical analysis. The resultes are summarized as follows 1) Goal-centered planning level was higher than that of resource-centered By 2 plannings subjects were classified into 4 planning styles : active morphogenic resource-reorganized demand-reorganized passive morphostatic style. 2) A difference between terminal value patterns and planning styles was no significant but a difference between instrumental value patterns and planning styles was significant. Family life satisfaction showed significant differences by not value patterns but planning styles. Because of high family life satisfaction as output of management active morphogenic style was successful. For succ ssful planning, it was suggested that homemarkers should possess values related broadminded loving and forgiving.
This study aimed at providing basis data to understand homemanagement by patterning of the life styles of housewives and by analysing the disposition of homemanagement behavior and characterstics of the behavior pattern to the difference of the life style patterns of housewives. The result can be summarized as follows: 1. By utilizing factor analysis and cluster analysis, the life style types of housewives were classified into 4 types, namely, self-fulness type (28.4%), negative stagnation type (22.7%), fashion-convenience type (23.3%), innovation-urging type (25.6%). 2. The life style types of housewives which were classified, differed significantly according to all of the demographic variables except family size variable. 3. The disposition of homemanagement behavior which were classified into inner-directed type and other-directed type, differed significantly according to the husband's age variable. 4. The patterns of homemanagement behavior which were classified into market pattern and service pattern, differed significantly according to the all of the demographic variables. 5. The disposition and the pattern of homemanagement behavior differed significantly according to the life style types of housewives.
The main objective of this dissertation is to find out the measurement methods of household work organization and manger style and the quantitative analysis methods of influential factors on household work organization and manager style. Subjects were homemakers living in metropolitan , medium and small cities. Questionnaires were sent to subjects and usable responses were 1139 out of 1239 received questionnaires. Data collected through both preliminary and main survey were analyzed by using frequencies, percentage, analysis of variance, chi-square test and pearson's correlation analysis. Results are as follows; 1) The degree of household work organization was distributed on upper middle level exceeding middle score. Among subsystems of household work such as task assignment , test regularization, task arrangement and task standardization. subjects show the highest positive attitude in task standardization. 2) The characteristics of management in household work have task centered orientation. By the prority of task centered orientation, the order was integrated style. dedicated style. It means that the most ideal style is an integrated style which accounts for one-third of the total homemakers. 3) Household organization's subsystems and household work manager style are related with socio-demographic variables. Integrated style is significantly related with homemaker's employment and having helpers for household work. homemakers who are employed and have helpers for household work exhibit high scores in task assignment and task arrangement. Dedicated style is significantly related with homemaker's age and the number of children. Homemakers who are older and have many children exhibit high scores in task assignment. Related style is significantly related with marriage duration, education level and income level. Homemakers who have a long marriage duration exhibit high scores in task assignment and who have high education and income level exhibit high scores in task regularization. Seperates style is significantly related with homemaker's age m marriage duration an family life cycle. homemakers who ar older, have a long marriage duration and are of late stage in family life cycle exhibit seperated style and high scores in organization. To summarize research findings, household work manger and household work organization are related with family life experiences, and task assignment is an influential variable on manager style. in conclusion, it is evident that household work organization emphasizes efficiency as cognitive component and such organization. Finally it is necessary to broaden this research considered social psychological variables. And also it needs to build household manger style models appropriate fro the characteristics of each style.
Information on the planning of the housing unit for three generation family is required for developing nuclear families and increasing elderly person. This study deal with the life style, it's characteristics and housing needs of the elderly who lived with other two generations. Specifically, this study attempted to find the basic information of the detailed planning and the establishment of criteria of the housing unit for three generation family. The results of this study were as follows. 1. Planning of the housng unit for three generation family, it had to be taken over residency areas for elderly especially for keeping privacy each other. 2. It was necessary the criteria of housing standards for eldery based on their housing characteristics. 3. Considering the psychological characterstics and life style of the elderly, it should be suggest that they could live easily with their next generation in the samecommunity. Also, the public policy should take over the housing unit for three generation family.

With the change of family type and diversify of life style, residents need various unit plan in Quality. A rate of economically productive women has increased, and generally double-income households will continuously increase in the future. So a research is requested to consider the double-income households's satisfaction for a unit plan based on their life characteristics. The purpose of this study is to find out double-income households's lifestyles, and to search and analyze users' needs for spatial composition according to their lifestyles, and then, embody spatial composition of Apartment Unit plans. The findings are as follows. (1) Housing lifestyles of users living in apartment are categorized into 5 types: seeking the way to make housework easy and comfortable, making the best use spatial composition, pursing the universalism, housework oriented, pursing the leisure. (2) The type of seeking the way to make housework easy and comfortable requests facility with home appliances and a shower bath, the type of making the best use spatial composition requests storage space and trial about new plan, the type of pursing the universalism is concerned about the protection of environment and a memorial service, the type of housework oriented wants a talk with their family and discuss some problem, and the type of pursing the leisure requests division of household with their family and likes traveling and sports.
The Health Promotion Model by Pender(l987) was used as the conceptual framework for analyzing the health promotion behaviors. The purposes of this study were to describe health promoting life style behaviors in 245 women between the ages of 35 and 59 living in Seoul and other cities and to find their predictive factors. Data were collected from 1st to 23th. June. 1998. The tool used for this study was structured questionnaire with consisted of 8 items on general characteristics. 5 items on health related characteristics. 43 items on health promoting life style. 28 items on menopausal symptoms. 5 items on family support. and 28 items on self-efficacy. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS. yielding descriptive statistics. ANOVA. Pearson's Correlation. stepwise multiple regression. The findings of this study are as follows. 1) The mean score of health promotion behavior(3.25) is not high. The mean scores of this self actualization (3.73). interpersonal support (3.68). and nutrition (3.57). regulation of stress (3.22) in domains are higher than health responsibility (2.90). exercise (2.63). 2) The results of the comparison between the health promotion behaviors and general variables showed a statistically significant difference in education (P=.0061), domestic economy status(P=.0001). perception of health status(P=.0001) but. age. state of menstruation. perception of weight is not significant difference. 3) The correlation between health promoting life style and self-efficacy(P=.0001). family support(P=.0001) is significant. But. there is no correlation between health promoting life style and age. number of family. perception of weight. 4) In the cognitive-perceptual factors. self-efficacy (P=.0001) is very significant predictor (accounted for $39.7\%$) and in the modifying factors. family support(P=.0001) is very significant (accounted for $9.0\%$). It is same to other research results.

Work and family life affect each other. Especailly in a corporate-centered society the impact of work on the family is very strong. Organigational sexrole culture is used not only as a method of business management, but also as a style of family living. The Purpose of this study was to analyze an effect of occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husband on the family life. Data for 214 husbands were gathered from the structured questionnaire and time diary. The major findings of this study were as follows; (1) According to the occupation, organizational sexrole culture of husbands is very different. (2) The occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husbands have an important effect on their life time structure. (3) The occupation and organizational sexrole culture of husbands effect on their participation rate of household labor. These results suggested that husbands’ occupation and organization sexrole culture have a significant effect on the family life.
This paper is a part of "A Case Study on The Dwellings and Settlement of Korean Immigrants to North-Eastern Province of China". Among various subjects from the study, this paper covers with the spaces and life style in the dwellings of Korean Immigrants. The purpose of this paper is to discribe how their dwelling culture has been moved and changed to a new environment. One rural village of Korean Immigrants named "Ch'ang-ts'ai" in Yen-pien Province was selected where we investigated more than 110 households. From the formal interview, I collect the data on the family structure, family economic state, dwelling spaces and its use, and dwelling facillities and furniture. From informal interview with key informants, I analyze how they have changed their dwelling spaces and life style since they moved here. Based on the analysis of the data, I conclude that major features of their dwelling and life style has been moved from Korean penninsula, specially from 'Hamkyong' Province where their ancestor has lived. This features are summarized as follows: a. Dwelling spaces and its functions are simillar to typical dwelling type of Hamkyong Province. b. They use "Chong-ji" for both a cooking space and a major living space. c. They have a life style of sitting on the floor. d. Bedrooms are differentiated with male and female. e. Most of their dwelling facillities and furniture arc different from those of Chinese in the same province. Since they immigrated, there has been some social changes which could influence on making their dwelling culture. But they have preserved their cultural identity on their dwellings and life style. So I suggest that the dwelling culture of a society would be seldom changed by immigration, as long as they will be given similar conditions such as the independent ethnic community, the same ecosystem, and economical autonomy.
