Recently, in computer graphics, researches on 3D animations have been very active. one of the important research areas in 3D animation is animation of human being. The creation and animation of 3D facial models has depended on animators' manual work frame by frame. Thus, it needs many efforts and time as well as various hardwares and softwares. In this paper, we implements a way to generation 3D human face model easily and quickly just with the front face images. Then, we suggests a methodology for mesh data simplification of 3D generic model.
The fact that Disney studio produced several propaganda animations for the U. S. Government during World War II, is not widely known to the public. Der Fuehrer's Face that this essay centrally deals with totally includes the characteristics of signification and aesthetics in Disney animation. And, Der Fuehrer's face shows the tendency that represent the connotative theme of the work and myth to the audience, based on the typified character and the imagery of spaces in the work. Therefore, from this perspective, the semiotic studies on Der Fuehrer's Face is ultimately the approach to the characteristics of Disney animation's representation and communication that is established, through experimental trials and efforts.

Real human digital models appear more and more frequently in VR/AR application scenarios, in which real-time markerless face capture animation of personalized virtual human faces is an important research topic. The traditional way to achieve personalized real human facial animation requires multiple mature animation staff, and in practice, the complex process and difficult technology may bring obstacles to inexperienced users. This paper proposes a new process to solve this kind of work, which has the advantages of low cost and less time than the traditional production method. For the personalized real human face model obtained by 3D reconstruction technology, first, use R3ds Wrap to topology the model, then use Avatary to make 52 Blend-Shape model files suitable for AR-Kit, and finally realize real-time markerless face capture 3D real human on the UE4 platform facial motion capture, this study makes rational use of the advantages of software and proposes a more efficient workflow for real-time markerless facial motion capture of personalized 3D real human models, The process ideas proposed in this paper can be helpful for other scholars who study this kind of work.

Along with the advance of digital technology, various methods are adopted for capturing the 3D animating data. Especially, in 3D animation production market, the motion capture system is widely used to make films, games, and animation contents. The technique quickly tracks the movements of the actor and translate the data to use as animating character's motion. Thus the animation characters are able to mimic the natural motion and gesture, even face expression. However, the conventional motion capture system needs tricky conditions, such as space, light, number of camera etc. Furthermore the data acquired from the motion capture system is frequently corrupted by noise, drift and surrounding environment. In this paper, we introduce the post production techniques to stabilizing the jitters of motion capture data from the low cost handy system based on Kinect.
Realistic facial animation research field which communicates with human and computer using face has increased recently. The human face is the part of the body we use to recognize individuals and the important communication channel that understand the inner states like emotion. To provide the intelligent interface. computer facial animation looks like human in talking and expressing himself. Facial modeling and animation research is focused on realistic facial animation recently. In this article, we suggest the method of facial modeling and animation for realistic facial synthesis. We can make a 3D facial model for arbitrary face by using generic facial model. For more correct and real face, we make the Korean Generic Facial Model. We can also manipulate facial synthesis based on the physical characteristics of real facial muscle and skin. Many application will be developed such as teleconferencing, education, movies etc.
In this paper, we present a FAES(a Facial Animation with Emotion and Speech) system for speech-driven face animation with emotions. We animate face cartoons not only from input speech, but also based on emotions derived from speech signal. And also our system can ensure smooth transitions and exact representation in animation. To do this, after collecting the training data, we have made the database using SVM(Support Vector Machine) to recognize four different categories of emotions: neutral, dislike, fear and surprise. So that, we can make the system for speech-driven animation with emotions. Also, we trained on Korean young person and focused on only Korean emotional face expressions. Experimental results of our system demonstrate that more emotional areas expanded and the accuracies of the emotional recognition and the continuous speech recognition are respectively increased 7% and 5% more compared with the previous method.
According to the survey done among the 20s of university students in Oct. 2002, the female animation characters from Korea and Japan have almost no distinction. Speaking of the features of the characters, they have big eyes, a long nose, an oval face. However, their eyes and mouths are expressed exaggeratedly, which makes them hard to get a good impression from the people. It seems that the identity of Korean female animation characters is disappearing in terms of the copycat from western animation characters. Through the research, the features of 20s of Korean and Japanese girls are compared and they were reviewed from the ideal and biological point of view. Then, the animation characters, which physiognomy has been applied, are created based on result, which I am trying to find the standard model of Korea female animation character. As an ideal point of view, it turns out that Korean has a positive reaction on the female animation characters with the cute & introspective characteristics. On the contrary, Korean has a negative reactions on the ones that were created in a biological viewpoint and has a highly sensitive and discontented characteristics. This shows that Korean do not prefer the female animation characters with highly sensitive and discontented characters. According to the survey, 73.5% of people could find the same 7 kinds of female characters which are shown frequently in the animation. This means that the oriental physiognomy is an effective way to approach to the features of the character's face depending on the characteristics of each female characters. The characters in this study are based on real face of female, but we can create the various animation characters if we apply the partial feature of distinctive each personal face.

In this paper, we propose a method of image-based three-dimensional modeling for realistic facial expression. In the proposed method, real human facial images are used to deform a generic three-dimensional mesh model and the deformed model is animated to generate facial expression animation. First, we take several pictures of the same person from several view angles. Then we project a three-dimensional face model onto the plane of each facial image and match the projected model with each image. The results are combined to generate a deformed three-dimensional model. We use the feature-based image metamorphosis to match the projected models with images. We then create a synthetic image from the two-dimensional images of a specific person's face. This synthetic image is texture-mapped to the cylindrical projection of the three-dimensional model. We also propose a muscle-based animation technique to generate realistic facial expression animations. This method facilitates the control of the animation. lastly, we show the animation results of the six represenative facial expressions.

In this paper, we present a new approach to creating speech animation with emotional expressions using a small set of example models. To generate realistic facial animation, two example models called key visemes and expressions are used for lip-synchronization and facial expressions, respectively. The key visemes represent lip shapes of phonemes such as vowels and consonants while the key expressions represent basic emotions of a face. Our approach utilizes a text-to-speech (TTS) system to create a phonetic transcript for the speech animation. Based on a phonetic transcript, a sequence of speech animation is synthesized by interpolating the corresponding sequence of key visemes. Using an input parameter vector, the key expressions are blended by a method of scattered data interpolation. During the synthesizing process, an importance-based scheme is introduced to combine both lip-synchronization and facial expressions into one animation sequence in real time (over 120Hz). The proposed approach can be applied to diverse types of digital content and applications that use facial animation with high accuracy (over 90%) in speech recognition.
Recently, performance-driven facial animation has been popular in various area. In television or game, it is important to guarantee real-time animation for various characters with different appearances between a performer and a character. In this paper, we present a new facial animation approach based on motion capture. For this purpose, we address three issues: facial expression capture, expression mapping and facial animation. Finally, we show the results of various examination for different types of face models.
