The subjects of this study were the place of 1m, 10m, 50m, 100m from 4-lane road ofT apartment and 233 residents lived in the low-rise multi-family houses in Athens. The results of this study were as follows. 1. The average noise level at 1m, 10m, 50m and 100m was 55.5dB, 46.7dB, 43.0dB, 43.0dB and 41.2dB respectively from 4-lane road of T apartment. From the view of the standard in this study, the physical noise was good. 2. The results of the residents subjective response on the noise were as follows. The external noise residents felt - that was a noise by operating machines, and traffic noise - ware as 2.57 on average. The noise by the daily activities, the noise of nature are a little as 2.38 on average. They were disturbed a little by the external noise. They felt the solid born sounds(average 2.49) more than airbone sound(average 2.23) by the internal noise. They are suffered worse from noise in summer and they worse from 8-12 oclock due to external noise and 16-20 oclock due to internal noise. Comparing the noise environment of Korean with that of American, I found a meaningful difference of nature and the noise of daily activities of external noise and all internal noise.
Shoulder MRArthrography was performed to get an accurate diagnosis about complex anatomical structure in shoulder joint. We carried out how the changes of anatomical rotations in shoulder joint could bring certain diagnosis effects on MRI images for various shoulder humerus positions; Neutral position, Internal rotation position and External rotation position. In addition, we prepared an aid tool in oder to maintain the right posture of a patient. This aid tool was made by adapting Modeling Design Program. By virtue of this aid, we obtained the following result. Shoulder MR Arthrography by the External rotation position for anatomical structure diagnosis was the most suitable in diagnostic evaluations of important anatomical structures in shoulder joint such as Biceps tendon, Supera-spiatus tendon, Sub-scapularis tendon, Labrum and Sub-acromial space.
Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate anti-atopic dermatitis effect using ato-tang.Methods : Ato-tang was external treatment to NC/Nga mice for 4 weeks, where atopic dermatitis was induced by DNCB at 1% and 0.4% for 3 weeks. Atopic dermatitis index score was measured using eye observation and picture evaluation. The histopathological change of dorsal skin was observed by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. Cytokines including IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 were measured by Luminex or reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis and immunoglobulin E (IgE) was measured by ELISA reader. Results : The dorsal skin of Ato-tang group showed decrease in erythema, pruritus, dry skin, edema, excoriation, erosion and lichenification level through naked eye observations. Immunoglobulin cell infiltration and the thickness of epidermis were significantly decreased in the dorsal skin compared to control. Production of Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, IL-13) and IgE level in serum were all significantly decreased, in comparison with control. In addition, mRNA expression level of Th2 cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, IL-13) in spleen was decreased, in comparison with control. Conclusion : The results indicated that external treatment of ato was improved skin barrier function in the symptoms of atopic dermatitis disease. Also, atopic dermatitis factors where cytokine as well as immunoglobulin E in serum and mRNA expression were decreased, respectively, in comparison with control. Therefore, we suggest that ato could be effectively used as a external therapeutic drug based on atopic dermatitis factors.
Concrete filled tubular structure should be installed diaphragms for moment connection. However internal and through diaphragm should be special welded when connected to column tube. The other hand, that has become increase of stress concentration and extend of construction error. Therefore, In this study the seismic performance of beam to column connections with External Diaphragms and implement cycle loading experiment. we had evaluated seismic performance with mentioned experiment which is concrete filled or not, variable shapes, to be welded or not of diaphragm. Also, formula of strength of external diaphragm was analyzed and looked into adequacy with regard to formula of tension strength.

To optimize and limit the axial length of the baffle of the KSR-III engine, stability rating tests using pulse gun as one of artificial disturbance devices have been done. Generally a rocket engine can be considered to be dynamically stable if a certain imposed external perturbation or pressure oscillation in rocket combustion chamber could be suppressed within a short time period. Decay time and other parameters for the evaluation of stabilization ability of an engine to external perturbation have been analyzed to quantify stabilization capacity of engine, in other words, dynamic stability margin. Baffle not covering flame zone enough which can be considered as collision region of injector wasn't be able to suppress external perturbation sufficiently. The limit of combustion stability margin of engine is assumed to be 50 mm length baffle of the KSR-III engine.
Glenohumeral internal and external rotation with shoulder abducted in the frontal plane often causes impingement of the supraspinatus tendon. whereas similar activity in scapular plane does not cause impingement. The Purpose of this study was to determine if assessment among the three positions as 30 degrees, 60 degrees, 90 degrees abduction in the sitting position of the scapular plane could be affected the comparison between intemal and external peak torque, total work, average power. In this study, Isokinetic shoulder rotational strength was evaluated in twenty healthy male university students, using the Cybex NORMTM System (CYBEX Division of LUMEX, Inc., Ronkonkoma, New York). Test data was gathered in the plane of the scapular, 30 degrees of horizontal flexion anterior to coronal plane, and the subjects performed the test with the arm 30, 60, and 90degrees abducted in the sitting position. also, test speed was set at deg/sec. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 7.5 for Windows software and mean and standard deviations were calculated. ANOVA was used to analyze the difference of the values in the three test positions. A paired t-test was used of examining the difference in the means peak torque between external and internal rotation. Not any significant difference was found among three abduction positions in scapular plane, even though there was a consistent pattern of greater strength in the abducted position of 60 degrees. Internal relation strength peak torque and total work were greater than those of external rotation in every test positions.

In this study, the anchoring performance of 57mm headed bars anchored at the external beam-column joint under cyclic loading was evaluated. A total of 6 external beam-column joint test specimens were planned, and anchorage performance was evaluated by setting concrete compressive strength, side covering thickness, lateral reinforcement ratio, and fracture type as major experimental variables. As result of cyclic loading test, it was found that the factors that had the greatest influence on the anchoring capacity of the large-diameter headed bar anchored at the joint were the side cover thickness and the transverse reinforcing bar. It was confirmed that the 57mm large-diameter headed bar anchored at the external beam-column joint showed sufficient anchoring capacity even under cyclic loading.

With the steady increase in the annual number of earthquakes in South Korea, the need to apply seismic reinforcement on public facilities has recently increased. To reinforce seismic capacity, spaced full-column-height steel bars are attached to column faces. In this study, nonlinear finite element analysis was conducted to analyze the effect of external reinforcement steel bars on the seismic capacity of RC columns with a square or rectangular cross-section. For verification, the analysis results were compared with test results. Results showed that the finite element analysis reasonably predicted the actual structural behavior of RC columns with steel bars. In addition, both the analysis and the test results showed that the failure mode was converted from brittle failure to ductile fracture, owing to the external reinforcement steel bars. Both loading capacity and ductility were increased as well. Therefore, the external reinforcement steel bar can effectively enhance the seismic capacity of existing RC columns. This study is expected to contribute to relevant research areas such as the development of design methods.
One of the major roles of concrete lining is the supplementary support of ground load. Therefore, if there are cracks or deformation found in the lining, the causes should be carefully examined. Tunnel Soundness Evaluation System (DW-TSES) was developed to meet such requirements. Main facility of the system was intended to find the probable causes on the basis of the apparent changes in lining and the environmental conditions. It also includes facilities for evaluating the soundness of a tunnel and indicating the method for repair or reinforcement. The characteristic feature of damages is used for reasoning in case of deterioration and leakage, and artificial neural network is used in external pressure. This process depends on the results of the case analyses and FDM, which have a collection of the typical features of different types of damages as well as the unusual changes caused by the external pressure. The comparison of the outputs of this system with those of expert's diagnoses draws the following conclusions. 1) Artificial neural network was a suitable tool to find to causes of damages by external pressure. 2) The environmental conditions improved the accuracy in reasoning. 3) The result of finding causes and evaluating soundness was helpful to suggest effective methods concerning tunnel maintenance.

Harbor and Fishery Design Criteria defines that ship routing should be designed to ensure safe ship navigation and easy maneuvering. The design of the channel width is one of the critical conditions in routeing of ships. For the criteria of the channel width, qualitative evaluation criteria are used in South Korea, whereas quantitative evaluation criteria are used in other countries. Environmental factors, such as winds, tidal currents, and waves directly or indirectly affect ship resistance when sailing. Depending on their strength the environmental factors may pose a threat to the safe navigation of ships. Thus, vessel traffic control was regulated in South Korea according to the Beaufort scale. In order to design the channel width to reflect the environmental factors closely related to the safe navigation of ships, quantitative evaluation criteria reflected with environmental factors were presented in other countries, however, these external factors were not considered in South Korea. This study analyzed the relationship between the channel width actually used by ships and environmental factors by using the trajectories of ships entering and leaving Mokpo Port. This study also suggested the required channel width according to tidal currents and compared it with the channel width design criteria of other countries.
