Trust-based business model in trust economy: External interaction, data orchestration and ecosystem value

  • The aim of this study is to formulate a trust-based business model of Internet services in so called the "trust economy." For it, firstly concepts of trust and trust economy are discussed. Then, we present previous literatures' review of trust in social science prism and trust economy in economic prism. This study classified the literatures' stances with two viewpoints of the 'system' and the 'user'. With this backdrop, we discuss three contradictory stances: Internal optimization vs. external interaction, personal data control vs. orchestration, and end-user vs. ecosystem value. In the result, we formulate a trust-based business model framework with three trust issues in user perspective and suggests three strategic directions related three issues along with representative use cases.

  • Till now, the roles of a tradition market were a circulation of the necessities of life, a employment market of local society, a center of community, and a main structure of local economy. Recently, these tradition market is on the decline because it couldn't cope with the internal and external changes. It is recognized that these phenomenon is a factor of economy unbalance. So, to activate the local economy, tradition market should be promoted. Therefore, external changes such as the increase of competition intensity and the changes of consume pattern, internal changes such as the deterioration of facility and old fashioned management were analysed. The activation plan of traditional market were suggested through the decision index for the tradition market in this study.

  • The economics of big data knowledge, especially cloud computing and statistical data of consumer preferences, has attracted increasing academic and industry practitioners' attention. Firms nowadays require purchasing not only external private patent knowledge from other firms, but also proprietary big data knowledge to support their new product development. Extant research investigates pricing strategies of external private patent knowledge and proprietary big data knowledge separately. Yet, a comprehensive investigation of pricing strategies of these two types of knowledge is in pressing need. This research constructs an overarching pricing model of external private patent knowledge and proprietary big data knowledge through the lens of firm profitability as a knowledge transaction recipient. The proposed model can help those firms who purchase external knowledge choose the optimal knowledge structure and pricing strategies of two types of knowledge, and provide theoretical and methodological guidance for knowledge transaction recipient firms to negotiate with knowledge providers.

외부활동, 온라인활동, 미디어이용, 미디어정보평가, 가계경제변화가 코로나블루에 미친 영향 (Effects of External Activities, Online Activities, Media Use, Media Information Evaluation and Household Economic Changes on Corona Blue)

  • 코로나블루 발생 원인을 분석해 우리 사회의 정신건강 증진 방안을 찾아보았다. 여성이 남성보다 코로나블루가 더 심했으며, 연령에 따른 차이는 없었다. 코로나19 이후 외부활동이 줄고, 가계경제는 어려워져 코로나블루가 늘었다. 늘어난 미디어이용량과 부정적인 미디어정보문제는 코로나블루를 증가시켰다. 온라인활동은 코로나블루에 영향을 주지 않았다. 미디어이용으로 증가한 사회문제관심은 미디어이용이 코로나블루에 영향을 주는 과정에서 부분매개효과를 갖고 있었다. 우울증을 줄이기 위해서는 개인의 외부활동을 늘리고, 여성과 경제적 약자의 사회 경제적인 여건을 더 개선하고, 미디어의 재난정보 품질을 높이고, 수용자는 미디어를 적정하게 이용해야 한다고 강조했다.

Inspecting Monetary Policy Rules in a Small Open Economy with Financial Frictions

  • In this paper, we address how the monetary authority should react to financial market status and exchange rate movements in a small open economy New Keynesian model with financial frictions due to asymmetric information between savers and borrowers. We show that the small economy with financial frictions is more susceptible to the exogenous shocks under the fixed exchange rate regime than under the flexible exchange regime. The small economy experiences a more prolonged and deeper economic recession under the fixed exchange rate regime than under the flexible exchange rate regime. The monetary policy taking into account external finance premium is better than the interest rate rule without considering the financial market status.

인과지도로 본 한국의 성장의 한계: 인구, 경제, 자원, 환경, 식량 위기요인을 중심으로 (Korea's Limit to Growth from Circular Causation Perspective: Focusing on Crisis Factors, Population, Economy, Resources, Environment, and Food)

  • The paper examines dynamic relationship among 'Limit to Growth' factors in Korea using causal loop diagram. It also aims to explore policy implications for Korea in overcoming current difficulties and future crisis we may face. For this purpose, five factors -economy, population, resource, environment, food- used in the were adopted as an analytical framework. Findings show that Korea is fragile to external shock such as world economic crisis, food price surge, and resource price -including energy price- hike. High dependency of energy, food and resource on foreign market was found to be a major source of limit to growth in Korea. Furthermore, environmental problems like global warming could be a major external shock that could hit Korea harder than the rest of the world. Policy implications and measures for these problems were discussed too.

국내 지역별 도로운송네트워크가 지역경제에 미치는 영향: SNA 및 공간패널회귀모형의 적용 (A Study on Road Transport Network And Economy effect in Korea: Application of SNA and Spatial Panel Regression)

  • This study analyzes the effects of road transportation networks on the local economy in korea. The analysis methods are SNA and spatial panel regression model. The subjects of this study are inland areas of Korea, and the research period is from 2010 to 2019. The network analysis showed that the connection centrality of Gyeongg-do was high internally and externally. Gyeonggi-do has played a central role in the domestic road freight transportation industry. The results of spatial panel regression analysis showed that there was economic competition between regions. Domestic road transportation industry has been competitive among regions and has economic ripple effect. And Internal cargo has been shown to boost the economy of the region. But internal cargo has been shown to lower the economy of surrounding regions, but external cargo has been shown to increase the economy. In order to revitalize the local economy, it is necessary to increase road cargo.

Present and Future of Risk Management of Construction Practice in Asia

  • Owning to rapid infrastructure development, Asia is experiencing dramatic economic growth. There are not a few cases in which, however, economic growth is achieved by increasing the external diseconomy. Pursuit of sustainable development is one of the most important issues for mankind. Under the post-industrial capitalism society, however, there seems a big risk of increase in the external diseconomy worldwide. The objectives of this manuscript are to discuss importance of risk management of construction practice in present and future. Regarding the latter, a particular attempt is made to discuss how project risk communication should be done to reduce the external diseconomy. Presently, one of the important issues in implementation of infrastructure projects is practice of risk management to properly manage time, cost, quality, and safety: mainly maximization of internal economy. Multi-party risk and uncertainty management process (MRUMP) is one of tolls to assist it. The idea on MRUMP can be used to reduce the external diseconomy through identifying, sharing, and tuning people's rhythms.

리츠 유통산업의 경제적 파급효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Economic Impact Analysis of REITs Distribution Industry)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to provide a political registration point for analyzing the economic impacts on the national economy from the REITs distribution industry in our country. The REITs distribution industry was introduced in 2001 to accelerate the corporate restructuring process and advance the real estate market. During its establishment, the REITs distribution industry faced difficulties; however, the industry grew rapidly through interest from institutional investors, thus mitigating the establishment problems by 2006. In Korea, more than 108 REITs were operating as of the end of June 2015. REITs contribute significantly to the national economy. The economic impacts on the national economy of the REITs distribution industry was analyzed using input-output (I-O) analysis with respect to production, imports, value-added, and employment. Research design, data, and methodology - The research used an I-O analysis of the activities of the REITs distribution industry in the national economy. The I-O analysis methodology analyzes the economic effects that influence other industries with respect to one unit of external investment. The data for this analysis were the I-O table of 2013 as published by the Bank of Korea in 2014. Results - The findings of this study are as follows. First, if an external input to the REITs distribution industry is 1 won, the overall impact of the product is 1.3869 won, the import induction is 0.0002 won, and the value-added induction is 0.7656 won. A new investment of 659.9 billion won into the REITs industry was estimated to produce a gross effect of 915.2 billion won. Second, if an external input to the REITs distribution industry is 1 billion won, the employment-inducing effects are estimated at 19.6394 individuals. The employment-inducing coefficient of 19.6394 for the REITs distribution industry indicates that the industry created significant employment-more than other industries-because the coefficient was 2.2 times the 2013 industry average employment-inducing coefficient of 8.8. Third, the investment effects of the REITs distribution industry on production induction, value-added induction, and employment induction are assumed to be large in business support services, financing, communications and broadcasting, and professional, scientific, and technical services. Conclusions - The REITs distribution industry was analyzed as having a strong employment inducing, high value added effect. The REITs distribution industry is an excellent alternative for the government authority to create multilateral jobs. Because the REITs distribution industry has a significant positive impact on the national economy, it should be developed. However, the I-O methodology has restrictions with respect to the fixation and timing of the input coefficient. Follow-up research is expected to supplement the analysis method at a specific point in time.

  • 본 연구는 수출을 기반으로 성장을 하는 우리나라 벤처 기업의 수출성장에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 기존 연구에 대한 문헌조사를 통하여 수출과 관계된 기업의 존속여부와 성장성(매출액 성장성)은 기업내부의 여러 가지 요인 및 기업을 둘러싸고 있는 외부적 환경과의 일정한 상관관계와 인과관계의 틀 속에서 기업의 존속여부와 성장성(수출액 성장성)이 결정된다고 생각할 수 있다. 또한 기업을 둘러싸고 있는 외부적환경은 기업 스스로의 힘과 의지에 의해서 통제될 수 없는 부분이라고 생각할 수 있는바 기업의 존속여부와 성장성(수출액 성장성)은 기업내부의 요인에 의하여 결정된다고 판단 할 수 있다. 기업의 성장성(수출액 성장성)을 결정하는 중요한 요인에는 어떤 것이 있으며 그러한 요인이 어느 정도의 영향력으로 기업의 성장성(수출액 성장성)에 영향력을 미치는가를 요인간의 모형으로 설정하고자 한다.
