The purpose of the research is analyzing how the emotional factors of the external apartment design can be influenced by the consumers' emotional reaction, and analyzing how the emotional reaction of the consumers will affect the expenditure of the apartment in the upcoming future. For this purpose, first, external surrounding factors of the apartment are extracted and then classified into three major design categories (instinctive, behavioral, and reflective design), and each factor is evaluated by the emotional evaluation. The scope of the research is restricted to the apartments in Daegu city which are built by Top 3 construction companies from the analysis of construction-working rank (May, 2010). The residential-expenditure data are extracted from D-univ. students, in accordance with the satisfaction of the external surroundings and emotional-reaction against the emotional-design factors of the apartment. This research is done by the statistic analysis program SPSS17.0. This shows that difference of emotional design by the apartment external space requisites will be significance as fundamental data for development of application and planning and apartment external space of emotional design by the apartment external space in the future.

This literature review focuses on external treatments for the throat, as found in the classic Korean text, Hyang-Yak-Jib-Sung-Bang Throat. Sections of the text related to external treatment of throat disorders were reviewed. Examples of frequently used external methods include gargling, application of powder, and brushing of the throat. These methods are still used in modern Korean Medicine treatments for Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) disorders. This discussion is provided with intention to invigorate the ancient practices of throat treatments, by highlighting benefits and results of the therapeutic protocols described in Hyang-Yak-Jib-Sung-Bang Throat. Discovering new effective herbal medicines and developing more precise external treatments will advance ENT treatment in Korean medicine.

Study on flexural retrofitting of RC beams using external bars with additional intermediate anchorages at soffit is reported in this paper. Effects of varying number of anchorages in the external bars at soffit were studied by finite element analysis using ANSYS 12.0 software. The results were also compared with available experimental results for beam with only two end anchorages. Two sets of reference and retrofitted beam specimens with two, three, four and five anchorages were analysed and the results are reported. FE modeling and non-linear analysis was carried out by discrete reinforcement modeling using Solid65, Solid45 and Link8 elements. Combin39 spring elements were used for modeling the frictional contact between the soffit and the external bars. The beam specimens were subjected to four-point bending and incremental loading was applied till failure. The entire process of modeling, application of incremental loading and generation of output in text and graphical format were carried out using ANSYS Parametric Design Language.

This clinical research was conducted to test patients with Atopic Dermatitis by external application with Hwangryeonhaedok-Tang in cosmetics. We gave scores to 31 patients who visited the Dept. of Oriental Medical Opthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology of Semyung University Jecheon Oriental Medical Hospital from May 15th, 2008 to June 26th. Fifteen patients were treated with the ointment that contain Hwangryeonhaedok-Tang (experimental group) and sixteen patients were treated with normal ointment that doesn't have Hwangryeonhaedok-Tang (control group) for 4 weeks. We observed change of total IgE, eosinophil count, Skin Temperature, Transepidermal Water Loss(TEWL), Skin Hydration and Skin pH. Also Clinical Index of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD Index) and global assesment of efficacy were used to evaluate the effects of Hwangryeonhaedok-Tang. Statistical analysis was performed by using frequency analysis and descriptive analysis. Statistical significance was achieved if the probability was less than 5%(p<0.05). After 4 weeks of external application treatment, SCORAD Index in experimental group was significant statistically decreased compared with control group. After 4 weeks of external application treatment, total IgE of both groups were decreased and eosinophil count in control group was decreased but experimental group was unstatistically decreased. Unstatistically, both groups didn't showed significant effect on Skin Temperature. Transepidermal Water Loss(TEWL) in both groups were increased but experimental group was significant decreased compared with control group. Skin Hydration in experimental group was significant statistically increased compared with control group. Statistically, both groups didn't showed significant effect on Skin pH. Only experimental group showed little increase. After 4 weeks of external application treatment, experimental group showed significant effect on global assesment of efficacy. Considering the above results, we can speculate that cosmetics with Hwangryeonhaedok-Tang has some therapeutical effects in mitigating the symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis.

In a typical living space, windows are directly exposed to the external noise environment. The best way to reduce outside noise is to block it from the outside, not the inside. Exterior blinds for blocking sunlight are commercialized in various ways. However, it has not yet been actively utilized in Korea. In the previous study, an experiment was conducted in an accredited laboratory to verify the sound insulation performance of an external motorized blind manufactured for shading. And it was verified that there is a sound insulation performance of 6 dBA compared to the reduction performance of a general window. In this study, we tried to confirm the reduction performance by applying the sound insulation performance of external electric blinds to windows in actual living spaces. In addition, an improvement plan was sought to increase the effective noise reduction performance. As a result of the measurement, the reduction performance of the external motorized blind itself was insufficient at the level of 1 dBA to 3 dBA. However, additional reduction performance of the 2 dBA level was confirmed by filling the gap between the blind slits.

The computer is an important tool to design an engineering system and CAD systems are widely used for various design practice. To meet the market requirements, the old mass production system is being changed into the mass customization system. As for CAD systems, it is increasingly required to extend, automate, and customize a wide range of functionality. This article describes the state-of-the-art of the principal technologies for customizing CAD systems. And we have implemented an application that enables the parametric design by directly inputting numerical values of parameters for a CAD model. Based on this application, we have developed another system that makes it possible sharing of part family data between SolidEdge and Pro/Engineer. Through customization of CAD systems, it is possible to improve the product quality using external knowledge-based systems or to integrate with external system such as CAE tools. This paper can be a guide for engineering designers who want to customize CAD systems.

External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. Especially, Zhao-Xue-Min(趙學敏) had thought that there are useful treatments of wander doctors. So, the "Chuan-Ya(串雅)" had been written by Zhao-Xue-min in 1759. The book had included treatments of wander doctors. it had included various external treatments. Therefore we would like to bring out it's external treatments in the part of ophthalmic, otolaryngologic and surgical diseases. We have researched external treatments of "Chuan-Ya", and then we have arrived at following conclusions. "Chuan-Ya" has 56 sentences that have related to external treatments in the part of ophthalmic, otolaryngologic and surgical diseases. And then, the treatments were, for the most of the part, bathing therapy, application therapy.

Applying an external electric field across air filter media is one of methods to improve the filtration performance. Metal wire meshes have been commonly used as electrodes situated on both sides of a thick filter pad. For a thin filter medium a short circuit, known as the biggest drawback for applying an external electric field to air filter, can occur at the closest point between electrodes. In this study several types of insulated meshes were prepared by coating #50 meshes with a dielectric material, Nylon 66, and the filtration property of air filter was evaluated at the presence of external electric field using those insulated meshes as electrodes and compared with that of filters using bared meshes. The collection efficiency of tested filter was increased from 78% to 95% for singly charged 100 nm particles by application of external electric field. As a result, there was no significant difference in collection efficiency between filters with insulated and bared electrodes. Similar results could be also seen from the tests using polydisperse particles. Finally, through this study, we found that the insulation of mesh electrodes doesn't affect the filtration performance of fibrous air filter under external electric field.

As social interest in acne treatment has grown, various external preparations have been developed and studied. So, we investigated the external prescription which can treat acne in medical classics, then reviewed and divided it by dynasty. The data for analysis of Herbal formula was taken from 'medicine Dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions(中醫方劑大辭典)'. 31 external medicines were searched, 3 were before song(宋) dynasty, 11 were Song(宋) dynasty, 11 were Yuan(元) dynasty, 7 were Ming(明) dynasty and 7 were Qing(淸) dynasty. The recipe and usage were only making them pill(丸) and paste(膏) using grinded medicinal herbs, then rubbing to face. As the age developed, unique manufacturing process(i.e fermentation method), and usage(i.e time-based usage, herbal medicine extracts for wash) were proposed. The external application with oriental medicine for acne used with Angelicae Gahuricae Radix(n=12), Bletillae Rhizoma(n=8), Syzygii Flos, Saposhnikoviae Radix(n=7) and so on. In particular, Bletillae Rhizoma was searched with high frequency in this study, but it was not included or studied in patent composition. The results of this study will provide basic data for future experiments and clinical studies.

And treatments of wander doctors had been disregarded by general doctors and the public. But Zhao-Xue-Min(趙學敏) had thought that there are useful treatments in it. So, the "Chuan-Ya(串雅)" had been written by Zhao-Xue-min in 1759. The book had included treatments of wander doctors. Especially, it had included various external treatments. Therefore we would like to bring out it's external treatments theory 2) Conclusions We have researched external treatments of "Chuan-Ya", and then we have arrived at following conclusions. "Chuan-Ya" has 48 sentences that have related to external treatments in internal medicine. And it had recorded fire conducting method(引火法) to explain process of external teratment principle.
