전래 시장옥(市場屋)의 기능적 변화특성에 관한 연구 -경북 울진군 매화1리 매화장시를 중심으로- (The Functional Transition of Traditional Shop House in Modern age of Korea - Focused on Maehwa Marketplace in Uljin -)

  • This paper aims to clarify the spatial form and functional transition of Korean traditional shop house in Maehwa marketplace, Uljin. The general form of Korean traditional shop house of Maehwa marketplace was the timbered house of the tin roof built in the 1960s. As the scale of a building being comparatively small-scale, building area is $60m^2$ and the yard was mainly made behind the building. When the spatial form of Korean traditional shop house is considered, the composition of 4 by 2 is most. And in the front of a building, the shop is located, and when the back of a building prepares a residence, integration of a sales function and a habitation function is seen. The shop of Korean traditional shop house is converted into living space by change of the function, and the position is the middle of a front of building. This is considered as what inherited the Korean lifestyle. And the last, Although it is not different from the appearance of the shop house of other areas, since there are few grades of the change in comparison, the extension situation of Korean traditional shop house is recognized as an example important for future research.

폐교의 시설 특성을 활용한 노인복지시설 구축에 관한 연구 - 경기 북부지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Establishment of Welfare Facilities for the Aged Using the Facilities Characteristics of Closed Schools - Focused on the Northern Area of Gyeonggi-Do -)

  • Changes in the population structure caused by a decrease in the birthrate and an extension of life expectancy cause problems in utilization inefficiencies of closed schools and shortage welfare facilities for the aged. The closed schools have location characteristics that are close to the existing residence and facilities such as land and school buildings, so it is expected that the schools will be used as welfare facilities for the aged in the community. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the facility characteristics of closed schools in northern Gyeonggi-Do and present the types of aged welfare facilities that can be built, providing basic data for developing customized aged welfare facilities. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1) The proportion of aged people in northern Gyeonggi-Do is higher than in southern Gyeonggi-Do, but welfare facilities for the aged are insufficient, so it is necessary to expand welfare facilities for the aged in northern Gyeonggi-Do. 2) Urban areas such as Paju and Goyang City have a lot of residential proximity, Dongducheon and Yangju have a lot of residential proximity, while schools located in urban and rural areas such as Yeoncheon have a lot of residential proximity. 3) Closed schools in urban areas such as Goyang City and Paju City are desirable to use them as residential facilities for senior citizens, day and night protection and short-term protection facilities, while closed schools in Namyangju City, Pocheon City, and Gapyeong County are desirable to use them as senior citizen centers and medical welfare facilities.

정화논에 의한 벼 친환경재배단지 발생 영양염류 저감효과 (Effects of Purifying Rice Paddy in Reducing Nutrient Loadings from Rice Paddy fields area using Free Range Ducks and Rice Bran)

  • To manage the effluent nutrients amounts from rice paddy fields using free range ducks or rice bran, we evaluated the effects of a purifying paddy field which is no fertilizer, no pesticides, and dense rice seedling having a concept of constructed wetland. The experimental paddy field was located at downstream in the watershed of ducks using rice culture area in Milyang. The purifying paddy of land design were treated with seeding method, and vegetation type. As land design, direct seeding on plane, and direct seeding on high-ridge field in 2007. Planting rice only, and planting rice with water hyacinth were treated as vegetation type in purifying paddy in 2008. The purifying paddy fields were effective to reduce amount of T-N and T-P contents in effluent to 33.2~45.3%, and 53.1~55.4%, respectively. The direct seeding on high-ridge treatment, having long residence time of effluent water was more effective than plane plot as T-N 0.29 $g^{-1}m^{-2}d^{-1}$, and T-P 0.031 $g^{-1}m^{-2}d^{-1}$. The planting rice with water hyacinth treatment was effective than planting rice only as T-N 0.23 $g^{-1}m^{-2}d^{-1}$, and T-P 0.049 $g^{-1}m^{-2}d^{-1}$. The optimum area of purifying paddy field to treats all effluent were found out 3.2~4.7% of rice culture area using free range ducks, and rice bran at upper stream.

Comparison of Viral Hepatitis-Associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma Due to HBV and HCV - Cohort from Liver Clinics in Pakistan

  • Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the first cause of death in cirrhotic patients, mostly due to viral hepatitis with HCV or HBV infection. This study was performed to estimate the true prevalence of viral hepatitis-related HCC and the demographic and clinical-pathological associations with the two virus types. Materials and Methods: This cross sectional observational study enrolled clinical data base of 188 HCC patients and variables included from baseline were age, sex, area of residence, clinical-pathological features such as underlying co-morbidity, presence or absence of liver cirrhosis, macrovascular involvement, tumor extension and metastasis, liver lobes involved, serum alpha-fetoprotein level, and hepatitis serologies. Results: Overall prevalence of HCV- and HBV-related HCC was 66.0% and 34.0%, respectively. Patients with HCV were more likely to develop HCC at advanced age ($52.4{\pm}11.9$ vs. $40.7{\pm}12.09$ years), with highly raised serum AFP levels (${\geq}400ng/ml$) 78.2% (HBV 67.1%), large tumor size (HCV-66% >5 cm, HBV-59.3%), and presence of portal vein thrombosis (8.06%, HBV 1.56%). A binominal multivariate analysis showed that HCV-HCC group were more likely to be cirrhotic (OR=0.245, 95%CI: 0.117, 0.516) and had more than two times higher rate of solitary macrovascular involvement (OR=2.533, 95%CI: 1.162, 5.521) as compared with HBV associated HCC. Conclusions: Statistically significant variations were observed from baseline to clinical-pathological characteristics in HCV vs HBV associated HCC. Our study suggests prompt and early screening for high risk patients so that the rate of progression of these chronic viral diseases to cirrhosis and cancer can be decreased.

경안천 유역 수변구역 경관구조 변화 분석 (Analysis of Landscape Structure Change for Riparian Buffer Zone KyangAn Watershed)

  • 하천과 인접한 수변구역은 생태학적 중요성과 더불어 친수공간 제공 및 하천 수질 보호에 있어서 매우 높은 잠재적 가치를 가지고 있다. 본 연구는 경안천내 수변구역을 대상으로 경관 구조 지수를 정량적으로 분석하여 향후 수변구역 관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석자료는 과거 1966년부터 2000년까지 36년간의 항공사진을 기하보정하여 수변구역의 토지이용현황에 대한 시계열 자료를 이용하였고, 분석도구는 ArcView의 Extension 모듈로 운영되는 FRAGSTATS를 이용하였다. 분석결과 토지이용변화는 농경지 지역은 감소하고 시가화 건조지역은 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 기타 토지이용은 미미한 변화를 나타내고 있다. 경관의 구조 지수 변화 분석 결과 경관규모에서는 NP는 1966년에 437개에서 2000년의 토지이용 패치 수(NP)가 695개로 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타났고, 클래스 규모에서도 같은 결과를 나타내고 있어 인위적인 요인에 의한 토지이용변화가 큰 것으로 판단된다. MPS도 9.441에서 5.934로 작아지고 있어 이 지수 역시 토지이용이 많이 진행되고 있음을 나타내고 있다. 산림지역의 경우 감소하고 있는 추세이나 큰 변화는 없는 것으로 판단된다. 전체적인 지수분석 결과 패치 형태지수는 가장자리가 복잡해지고 있으며, 분산지수에서도 패치의 분산도가 커지는 것으로 나타나 토지이용이 변화되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 이는 수질관리측면에서 수변구역의 주요 기능인 오염물질 차단기능을 약화시키는 결과를 초래할 수 있어 수변구역 관리에 더 많은 노력이 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 향후 각 토지이용도별 각 패치의 분포 형태와 변화 양상 분석과 더불어 토양피복종류의 인접성 등을 고려한 수변구역 관리에 실질적인 자료를 제공할 수 있는 연구가 필요하다.

서울 북촌한옥의 변화양상에 관한 연구 - 북촌 가꾸기 사업에 따른 2002~2007 한옥 대수선 사례를 대상으로 - (A study on the Changes in form and spatial uses of Urban Hanok in Bukchon, Seoul)

  • This study focused on changes in form and spatial uses of Urban Hanok in Bukchon, Seoul. There are 10 representative cases which have been renovated through the policy of 'Preservation & Regeneration of Bukchon' by Seoul metropolitan government and other experts. Changes in form and spatial uses of Urban Hanok in Buckon are as follows. First, Changes of scale. Trough removing extension parts, facade of renovated Hanoks are 'transformed' into recovering their identity. Using basements or lofts, intensive application of spaces is transformation which promotes the vitality of Hanoks. Second, changes of space organization. As Hanok changes its function from residence to commercial or cultural use, il a1so changes space character or reorganizes space organization. It is important that deciding function of Hanok has to adjust its scale and organization. Third, changes of construction performance. Through introducing new material and constructing method, performance of wall has been changed respecting its wooden structure and interior-exterior figure. However, technical studies must back it up not to destroy its value of eco-friendly architecture. Fourth, changes of facility systems, like floor heating system. They changes floor level of Hanok equally, and then sections of Hanok have became simple. Furthermore, inserting new facility space, such as boiler room, stand-up kitchen, bathroom and toilet, organization of space also changed. It is necessary that wise alternative proposal through the method of transformation or mutation must be presented. These four changes can be classification into method of 'transformation' and 'mutation'. Changes of scale are method of transformation and changes of space organization are method of mutation. Also, while changes of construction performance are mutation, changes of facility systems are transformation. Recently, as price of lots have been increased, a lot of Hanoks have been commercialized. Thc commercial energy threat 'the identity of Bukchon as residential area'. From now on, to operate 'identity' and 'vitality' complementary, it is necessary to make up for the preservation policy of Hanok and consolidate renovating standards of Hanok which correspond to character of particular region and building usage.
