  • This research aims at exploring what Korean teachers of English need for their effective professional development, particularly from the perspectives of peer trainers who are school teachers as well as teacher trainers. The research is based on an assumption that despite the critical roles of peer trainers in the changing process of English education, very little attention has been paid to listening to their voices. Having an awareness of the meaningfulness of their voices in teacher education, the researcher collected and analyzed the data, employing a questionnaire responded by 32 peer trainers and in-depth group interview with 6 peer trainers who responded the questionnaire. The research findings suggest that the majority of peer trainers believe that the priority should be put on teaching practice rather than language competence for Korean English language teacher development. It has been found that they believe that teacher learning within the workplace with some support from outside experts is the most effective way of making classroom change possible and keeping teachers' professional development sustainable. Finally, the research suggests school-based professional development as an alternative strategy to satisfy their needs on effective and sustainable professional development.

  • With the recent revised curriculum, the importance of exploring children's play through new teaching media is increasing in kindergarten. In this study, it is to use the robot 'Bee-bot' for early children to uncover the changes that children have through free exploration and play. As a result of comparing the change of scientific problem-solving ability of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, there were significant changes in all three sub-elements. We propose to us scientific problem-solving ability test tools, propose and apply ideas for problem-solving, conclusion on problem-solving Building. Through this, it was found that unplugged play using 'Bee-bot' is meaningful as a play environment and as a teaching medium for children aged 3, 4 and 5 years old.

  • In this paper we apply statistical reliability tools to manage and seek improvements in the strengths of medium density fiberboard (MDF). As a part of the MDF manufacturing process, the product undergoes destructive testing at various intervals to determine compliance with customer′s specifications. Workers perform these tests over sampled cross sections of the MDF panel to measure the internal bond (IB) in pounds per square inches until failure. We explore both graphically and statistically this "pressure-to-failure" of MDF. Also, we briefly comment on reducing sources of variability in the IB of MDF.

  • This study investigates the psychological effects of positive/negative valence order in repeated exposure to a suspenseful text. Specifically, the study seeks to understand how the order in which positive and negative elements are presented in a narrative impacts the experience of suspense, arousal, and enjoyment in readers or listeners. Using a suspenseful short story, participants were exposed to narratives with varying valence orders in a repeated-measures design. The study employed self-report questionnaires and psychophysiological measurements to capture participants' psychological responses. The results supported the hypothesis that repeated exposure impacts suspense, with negative valence enhancing suspense and arousal. Moreover, the order of valence influenced participants' psychological responses, indicating that positive valence can mitigate the impact of repeated exposure. However, the influence on enjoyment was not significant. Psychophysiological measures, specifically skin conductance level (SCL), revealed trends of habituation over repeated exposure. The findings underscore the significance of negative valence in heightening suspense and suggest directions for future research in exploring diverse factors that contribute to suspense in both fictional and real-life contexts.

  • In the context of exploring how Artificial Intelligence(AI) can revolutionize the entertainment industry, more and more film and television productions have begun to try to intervene AI technology in various aspects of content creation. However, despite the fact that AI can generate a large amount of textual content and dynamic visual effects, it still faces challenges in terms of plot expression and delivery. This thesis explores the strengths and weaknesses, innovations, and future developments of AI technology in plot production by analyzing existing film and television productions and production practices generated using AI technology. The study proves that as AI technology continues to improve, its use in short-form production will become more and more prevalent in the future, helping human creators become more efficient and even able to produce Short Dramas in full flow.
