This paper considers subway routing problem. Given a schedule of train to be routed by a railway stock, the routing problem determines a sequence of trains while satisfying turnaround time and maintenance restrictions. Generally, the solution of routing problem is generated from set partition formulation solved by column generation method, a typical integer programming approach for train-set. However, we find the characteristics of metropolitan subway which has a simple rail network, a few end stations and 13 departure-arrival patterns. We reflect a turn-around constraint due to spatial limitations has no existence in conventional railroad. Our objective is to minimize the number of daily train-sets. In this paper, we develop two basic techniques that solve the subway routing problem in a reasonable time. In first stage, we formulate the routing problem as a Min-cost-flow problem. Then, in the second stage, we attempt to normalize the distance covered to each routes and reduce the travel distance using our heuristic approach. Applied to the current daily timetable, we could find the subway routings, which is an approximately 14% improvement on the number of train-sets reducing 15% of maximum traveling distance and 8% of the standard deviation.
Recently the Microsoft Windows OS(operating system) is widely used for the internet banking, games etc. The kernel functions provided by the Windows OS can perform memory accesses, keyboard input/output inspection, and graphics output of any processes. Thus, many hacking programs utilizes those for memory hacking, keyboard hacking, and making illegal automation tools for game programs. Existing protection mechanisms make decisions for existence of hacking programs by inspecting some kernel data structures and the initial parts of kernel functions. In this paper, we point out drawbacks of existing methods and propose a new solution. Our method can remedy those by modifying the system service dispatcher code. If the dispatcher code is utilized by a hacking program, existing protection methods cannot detect illegal operations. Thus, we suggest that protection methods should investigate the modification of the dispatcher code as well as kernel data structures and the initial parts of kernel functions.

There was a study for biological characteristics, except for physico-chemical and mineralogical properties, on the natural bentonite that is considered as a buffer material for the high-level radioactive waste disposal site. A bentonite slurry that was prepared from a local 'Gyeongju bentonite' in Korea was incubated in a serum bottle with nutrient media over 1 week and its stepwise change was observed with time. From the activated bentonite in the nutrient media, we can find a certain change of both solid and liquid phases. Some dark and fine sulfides began to be generated from dissolved sulfate solution, and 4 species of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) were identified as living cells in samples that were periodically taken and incubated. These results show that sulfate-reducing (or metal-reducing) bacteria are adhering and existing in the powder of bentonite, suggesting that there may be a potential occurrence of longterm biogeochemical effects in and around the bentonite buffer in underground anoxic environmental conditions.
The technique which stores cache data in EXT2 or UFS designed for general purpose is not suitable for satisfying the speed required for web cache due to the general purpose file system. This study shows that there is the better solution by optimizing the file system using the characteristics of web file. It is impossible that the suggested RawCFS changes the size of cached object and the access authentication, and this results from the existence of up-to-dated object in the original server. This file system is proved in the capability test that it is faster than the technique by 40% which stores in each file by object unit. This can be used in the design of high end web server such as shoppingmall or Internet Broadcasting station which should provide objects like image or HTML as well as cache server to the client for the fast service.
In this paper, we propose a deterministic algorithm to solve the resource discovery problem, that is, some subset of machines to learn the existence of each other in a large distributed network. Harchol et al. proposed a randomized algorithm solving this problem within O($log^2\;n$) rounds with high probability, which requires O($nlog^2\;n$) connection communication complexity and O($n^2log^2\;n$) pointer communication complexity, where n is the number of machines in the network. His solution is based on randomization method and it is difficult to determine convergence time. We propose an efficient algorithm which improve performance and the non-deterministic characteristics. Our algorithm requires O(log n) rounds which shows O(mlog n) connection communication complexity and O($n^2log\;n$) pointer communication complexity, where m is the number of links in the network.
This study is to establish the consistency of Subject-Verb agreement in quantifier phrase. Absence of consistency in English grammar is critical to the grammaticality. We focused on the grammar part, specifically, S-V agreement rule in quantifier phrase. We believe the existence of exceptional rules in quantifier S-V structure is not necessary as the basic grammar rule on S-V agreement is sufficient enough and adding exceptional rules just make it more difficult and confusing. We argue specific features indwelt in each quantifier are linked when quantifiers are used pronominally and the ${\pm}$feature plays an important role in quantifier S-V agreement structure. This study shows the solution to eliminate the ungrammaticality in typical English text books by simplifying quantifier S-V agreement to make it solid and systematic.

The IETF has created the v6ops Working Group to assist IPv6 transition and propose technical solutions to achieve it. But it's quite problem which security consideration for a stage of IPv4/IPv6 transition and co-existence. There are new security problem threat that it caused by the characteristics of heterogeneity. In this paper, we describe IPv6 transition mechanisms and analyze security problem for IPv6 transition mechanism. also we propose security consideration and new security mechanism. We analyzed DoS and DRDoS in 6to4 environment and presented a address sanity check as a solution. We also showed an attack of address exhaustion in address allocation server. To solve this problem, we proposed challenge-response mechanism in DSTM.
For any given function f, we focus on the so-called prescribed mean curvature problem for the measure e-f(|x|2)dx provided thate-f(|x|2) ∈ L1(ℝn+1). More precisely, we prove that there exists a smooth hypersurface M whose metric is ds2 = dρ2 + ρ2d𝜉2 and whose mean curvature function is ${\frac{1}{n}}(\frac{u^p}{{\rho}^{\beta}})e^{f({\rho}^2)}{\psi}(\xi)$ for any given real constants p, β and functions f and ψ where u and ρ are the support function and radial function of M, respectively. Equivalently, we get the existence of a smooth solution to the following quasilinear equation on the unit sphere 𝕊n, $${\sum_{i,j}}({{\delta}_{ij}-{\frac{{\rho}_i{\rho}_j}{{\rho}^2+|{\nabla}{\rho}|^2}})(-{\rho}ji+{\frac{2}{{\rho}}}{\rho}j{\rho}i+{\rho}{\delta}_{ji})={\psi}{\frac{{\rho}^{2p+2-n-{\beta}}e^{f({\rho}^2)}}{({\rho}^2+|{\nabla}{\rho}|^2)^{\frac{p}{2}}}}$$ under some conditions. Our proof is based on the powerful method of continuity. In particular, if we take $f(t)={\frac{t}{2}}$, this may be prescribed mean curvature problem in Gauss measure space and it can be seen as an embedded result in Gauss measure space which will be needed in our forthcoming papers on the differential geometric analysis in Gauss measure space, such as Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem and its application on positive mass theorem and the Steiner-Weyl type formula, the Plateau problem and so on.
This study starts from interests on an endeavor of each economy unit, especially the enterprises, for the survival and sustainability of themselves. Competition, how to get it, maintain it and advance it! Agreeing the perceivedness of industries, scholars and public; what the core competition of manufacturer is an competitiveness of product, this study focuses on the PLM system as the key solution for obtaining the competitiveness of product with reviewing the contents and studies of PLM formulated. PLM is highlighted as the one of top tier ICT solution for the product development domain of manufacturing industry today. First of all, this study deals with the opinion of actual work-site and management of our small&medium business for the benefits of PLM based on product development; the impact on the performances of management, which is the key objective of the existence of enterprises. In conclusion, the answers for these questionnaires shows positive perception of actual work-sites and managers for the PLM system. They agree some useful effects on shortening the term and downsizing the cost of product development due to Data integration and Process management, even if they have not full confidence on the effectiveness of the individual functionality of the PLM system.
The whole plant of crop maize was chopped and ensiled in airtight 1-L capacity glass jars to determine the influence of residual sugar on anaerobic yeast growth and on the fermentation of lactic acid by L. buchneri in whole crop maize silage. There were a total of six treatments used in this experiment as follow: added 25 g de-mineralised water per kg chopped maize serving as control (con), 37.5 g glucose solution containing 12.5 g glucose ($g_1$), 75 g glucose solution containing 25 g glucose ($g_2$), 25 g L. buchneri suspension intended for $10^6$ cfu $g^{-1}$ (L.b.), $g_1+L.b.$ and $g_2+L.b.$ All silos were stored in the dark at $20^{\circ}C$ until end of experiment. Jars were opened on duplicates at day 2, 7, 14, 28, 56 or triplicates at day 91 after ensiling for measuring the pH, microbiological enumeration and fermentative products. Results indicated that acidification rates for all silages were very fast, no difference occurred among treatments before day 28. After day 28 the pH values for silages inoculated by L. buchneri. with or without sugar tended to increase especially for treated only with L. buchneri, resulting in higher (p<0.01) finial pH than uninoculated silages. Compared with control silage, the added sugar significantly (p<0.01) increased dry matter (DM) loss, L. buchneri enhanced (p<0.01) DM loss further at different sugar existence. Silages inoculated by L. buchneri only or in combination with sugar addition contained less (p<0.01) lactic acid than the correspondent silages without inoculation with L. buchneri. In comparison with control, ethanol production is about 3 or 6 fold higher due to addition 12.5 or 25 g glucose per kg chopped maize at ensiling. The added sugar resulted in less acetic acid concentration (p<0.01) than control, but inoculation with L. buchneri increased (p<0.01) acetic acid than correspondent uninoculated silages at different sugar levels. No butyric acid and propionic acid were found in uninoculted silages, silages inoculated with L. buchneri. produced more propionic acid, 1-propanol and butyric acid. Lactobacilli counts were not influenced by added sugar, but increased (p<0.01) with inoculation of L. buchneri. The added sugar increased significantly (p<0.01) the yeast count, whereas L. buchneri showed the contrary effect. No differences were found in the aerobic stability among all treatments. In conclusions, 1) the added sugars encourage the growth of yeast and yeasts convert extra sugar into ethanol in maize silages. 2) The added sugars and L. buchneri do not influence the aerobic stability of silages stored in anaerobic silos.
