This study aims to identify and analyze how the No Gun Ri massacre records are incorporated in social memory. As a theoretical study, it discusses the characteristics of social records. First, they are social products that have an influence on personal memory. Second, they reflect variability of memory. Third, they can be used in proving an event. To analyze the memory and records of the No Gun Ri massacre, this study overviews the outline of the killings and divides it into three eras: countermemory era, memory struggle era, and formal memory era. Furthermore, this study reviews the transformation process and characteristics of each era. The representative records produced in each era are as follows: oral, and personal records in the first period; records related to committee activities, legislative activities, and research activities in the second period; and official records on the special law, and the construction and operation of a peace park in the third period. The third period shows the scalability of the records through a variety of cultural records production to remember the No Gun Ri incident.
The most important environment of human being is the human being itself. So we have been sensitive to the appearance of ours and others at the same time. This writing aims for locating origins of the face and discerning differences [1] between the face of humans and those of other animals [2]. The face assumes a substantial significance not merely as a body function, but, above all, a means of expressions and features being looked at. The face is an important means of communication to humans as social animals. Knowledges about the various faces of the face are useful to become a efficient specialist as an extensive generalist because the face is a regular patron to the plastic surgery. The face in Korean consists of two elements of eol (the soul or the mind) and gul a residing place). When Wittgenstein says "the face is the soul of the body," his semantics corresponds to the Korean meaning. The meaning of the face in Korean is summed up in five ways. (1) the head or the front of the face with the eye, the nose and the mouth, (2) reputation or honor, (3) the general description of the psychological state, such as "the face of sadness", (4) a figure person representing a particular area, such as "Sun Dong-yul is the face of the Korean baseball community," (5) the primary imagery of the things and the event, such as "He is the face of the 4.19 Revolution." As such, the word "face", referring to a body part, extends its usages in a wide variety of contexts. What image do you convoke when you think of a person? With rare exceptions, you are most likely to invoke the face of the person. The face has come to be a byword for one's reputation or honor, and a pronoun for an expression of the essence of the thing and the event. This is presumably true of other languages. That is because human beings are equipped with the universal rule of language. A comprehensive understanding of the face is a must for cosmetic surgeons whose main responsibility is to sculpt and repair the face (Fig. 1).
The study as explained above has been progressed as follows: Through the theoretical required for projecting the corporate's exhibition at exposition, the justifiability of this study was recognized. To approach the pavilion of exhibition the importance of marketing communication at the corporate and its forming process were suggested, and the public information of the corporate as a medium of its marketing communication was under-stood. - With regard to the exhibiting event as its method, general constituents and contents of it were closely looked into, and on the exposition, as a kind of corporate's event and a place for the reciprocally exchangeable communication between the corporate and the public, a general study was done. - The importance of identification of the corporate's image for the corporate to participate in an exposition and its analytic method were refined in the stages of 'basic image' and 'serve image', and the general process in which the corporate is processing the image of its own pusiness since its participation in exposition was suggested in terms a model, dividing it into the stages of inspection & analysis and design.

Career building can be challenging for young surgeons, especially when topics such as lifestyle, work-life balance and subspecialization arise. Suggestions and advice from senior colleagues is very valuable but many young surgeons do not have such opportunities or are limited to a few senior surgeons. The International Microsurgery Club (IMC), in collaboration with the World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, organized a combined webinar for this topic and invited world renownedmicrosurgery masters polled by the IMCmembers to join, including Prof. Peter Neligan (Emeritus from University of Washington, United States), Prof. Raja Sabapathy (Ganga Hospital, India), Dr. Gregory Buncke (The Buncke Clinic, United States), Prof. Isao Koshima (Hiroshima University Hospital, Japan), Prof. David Chwei-Chin Chuang (Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan), and Prof. Eric Santamaria (Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez, Mexico) on May 1, 2022. Prof. Joon-Pio Hong (Asan Medical Center, South Korea) and Prof. Fu-Chan Wei (Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan) were also selected but unfortunately could not make it and were therefore invited to another event in April 2023, summarized in a recently published paper. There is ample literature reporting on different aspects of developing a microsurgical career but the goal of this session was to offer an opportunity for direct exchange with experienced mentors. Moreover, insights from experienced microsurgeons from different part of the world were more likely to offer different perspectives on aspects such as career building, failure management, and team culture. This webinar event was moderated by Dr. Jung-Ju Huang (Taiwan), Dr. Susana Heredero (Spain), and Dr. Wei F. Chen (United States).
This festival study is based on visitors' evaluation on the Danwon art festival. It was founded as follows; The major visitors of this festival were family and they were interested in educational programs. This festival was evaluated as the art and educational type experience oriented event for family. Visitors satisfied about organization of this event with 4.86 on Likert 7 point and positive percentage was 61.7%. The accessbility was evaluated the secondly satisfied program among 13 evaluation items. The average point was high with 5.34 and positive percentage was high with 79.3%. The highest satisfaction was educational evaluation with average point of 5.37 which was the highest satisfaction. Also the positive percentage was 84% which showed the highest positive opinion. The satisfaction of program interesting was average point of 4.84 which was relatively positive satisfaction. Visitors' positive percentage was 57.3% and negative percentage is only 8.3% which showed satisfaction of program interesting. But visitors unsatisfied about event variety, guiding facility, guiding pamphlet, guider service, parking facility, and foods service. there should be more improvement on the programs. Especially, improvement on public relationship, food quality, and parking for visitors should be implemented. in terms of interesting programs, visitors were most interested in the experience of blacksmith's shop among programs. It was founded that experience based festival programs were popular among this festival visitors and most festivals here in Korea at the moment. So more experience based programs are recommended for this festival.
Background The prevalence of flap necrosis after palatoplasty in patients with cleft palate. The prevalence of mucoperiosteal flap necrosis after palatoplasty remains unknown, and this complication is rare. This event is highly undesirable for both the patient and the surgeon. We present here a new scale to evaluate the degree of hypoplasia of the palate and identify patients with cleft palate at high risk for the development of this complication. Methods In this case series, a 20-year retrospective analysis (1994-2014) identified patients from our records (medical records and screening day registries) with nonsyndromic cleft palate who underwent operations at 3 centers. All of these patients underwent operations using 2-flap palatoplasty and also underwent a physical examination with photographs and documentation of the presence of palatal flap necrosis after primary palatoplasty. Results Palatal flap necrosis was observed in 4 cases out of 1,174 palatoplasties performed at these centers. The observed prevalence of palatal flap necrosis in these groups was 0.34%. Conclusions The prevalence of flap necrosis can be reduced by careful preoperative planning, and prevention is possible. The scale proposed here may help to prevent this complication; however, further studies are necessary to validate its utility.
Purpose: Tarsal tunnel syndrome is characterized by pain and paresthesia of the entire posterior tibial nerve and its branches of the lower extremity. The cause of the tarsal tunnel syndrome is usually unknown but, rare case of space occupying benign tumors such as a ganglion may be one of the causes. We report our experiences of surgical treatment of the tarsal tunnel syndrome caused by ganglion we have encountered recently. Methods: A 54-year-old male patient presented with paresthesia, burning pain, positive Tinnel's sign without preceeding trauma, infection or any other causes of event. With surgical intervention, we completely removed the space occupying ganglion and with performed surgical release of the posterior tibial nerve and its branches. Results: At a 14-month follow up examination, the symptoms of paresthesia, burning pain, sensory disturbance was much improved compared to the preoperative conditions. Takakura's rating scale was elevated from 4(Poor) to 8(Good). Conclusion: We report our surgical experience of a rare case of tarsal tunnel syndrome caused by a ganglion, with a review of literature.
From the ancient civilization, Japanese have maintained a homogeneous domestic culture while they have constantly received external ideas. They have received many conflicting and contradictory ideas and phenomena and surprisingly, they blend them successfully into their own culture. For them, the series of impacts from other civilizations have dissolved each equivalent individual elements for their successive culture. The introduction of Portuguese arquebus in the mid 16th century was a monumental event of Japanese technological development based on military initiatives. In terms of the Japanese import of western civilization from the time onward, the Meiji restoration could be explained the extension of the process modernization. Modern Japanese design is a unique case created through the close relationship between industry and cultural traditions. Such a role of traditional values and an alliance between political decision and economic program in post war years show two-fold implications

ISPs and Enterprises are equipping their networks with sufficiently high speed facilities and provide large bandwidths members. However the high speed enterprise network does not have satisfying end-to-end network performance within the network in spite of under utilization. The root cause of this performance degradation is a micro-congestion, which is a short-live event of traffic congestion. A micro-congestion causes packet loss, delay and packet reodering, and finally results in end-to-end network performance degradation. In this paper, we propose a micro-congestion detection method and find out the characteristics of performance degradation by analyzing traffic archives which is collected from a network link when a micro-congestion occurs.
Vascular endothelial cell injury or dysfunction has been implicated in the onset and' progression of cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis. A number of previous studies have demonstrated that the pro-oxidative and pro-inflammatory pathways within vascular endothelium play an important role in the initiation and progression of atherosclerosis, Recent evidence has provided compelling evidence to indicate that interleukin-4 (IL-4) can induce proc inflammatory environment via oxidative stress-mediated up-regulation of inflammatory mediators such as cytokine, chemokine, and adhesion molecules in vascular endothelial cells. In addition, apoptotic cell death within vascular endothelium has been hypothesized to be involved in the development of atherosclerosis. Emerging evidence has demonstrated that IL-4 can induce apoptosis of human vascular endothelial cells through the caspase-3-dependent pathway, suggesting that IL-4 can increase endothelial cell turnover by accelerated apoptosis, the event which may cause the dysfunction of the vascular endothelium. These studies will have a high probability of revealing new directions that lead to the development of clinical strategies toward the prevention and/or treatment for individuals with inflammatory vascular diseases including atherosclerosis.
