  • When the signals from satellite vehicles are blocked, it is impossible to provide positioning information. Integrating CDGPS with INS, the performances of output can be greatly improved. In the CDGPS/INS integrated system, the error growth in INS can be efficiently suppressed due to CDGPS. On the contrary, the search range of integer ambiguities can be reduced with the aids of INS. Furthermore, cycle slips in carrier phase measurements can be easily detected using INS. The paper presents a CDGPS/INS integrated system that utilizes CDGPS aided with INS.   • This paper handles synthesis and investigation of a neural network guidance law based on pursuit-evasion games. This work considers two-dimensional pursuit-evasion games solved by using the gradient method. The procedure of developing a guidance law from the game-optimal solutions is deeply examined, and important features of the neural network guidance are investigated. The proposed neural network guidance law takes the range, range rate, line-of-sight rate, and heading error as its input variables. By reconstructing the trajectory, the accuracy of the neural network approximation is verified.   • The purpose of this research is to build a quality-improved occupancy grid map for path-planning of an autonomous mobile robot(AMR) based on the measurements from a single ultrasonic sensor, which are acquired when the autonomous mobile robot explores unknown indoor environment. The AMR navigates in the unknown space by following the wall and gathers the range data using the ultrasonic sensor, from which the occupancy grid map is constructed by associating the range data with occupancy certainties. In order to increase the quality of the map we modify the Bayesian probability updating rule, reject non-systematic measurement errors and correct the predictable error of the AMR itself. These procedures are implemented and tested using an AMR, and primary results are presented in this paper.

  • In this work, a Voltage-to-Frequency Converter.(VFC) in which the output frequency is proportional to the input voltage is proposed. To obtain temperature stable characteristics the VFC is designed by using two bandgap references. The difference between simulated and calculated values is less than about 5% in output characteristics. In the VFC using BiCMOS the temperature variation of sample output frequencies is less than $\pm$0.5% in the temperature range -$25^{\circ}C$ to 75$^{\circ}C$. And the CMOS VFC has error less than $\pm$0.8% in the temperature range -$25^{\circ}C$ to 75'$^{\circ}C$.

듀얼 스테이지 서보 시스템을 이용한 영상 추적장치의 정밀제어 (Dual Stage Servo Controller for Image Tracking System)

  • In this paper, a dual stage servo mechanism has been developed for image tracking system to improve control performances such as small rise time, small overshoot, small settling time, small stabilization error etc. A secondary stage, a platform, actuated by a pair of electro-magnets is mounted on a conventional elevation gimbal. In this mechanism, the gimbal provides large range but slow motion and the platform provides small range but fast positioning. A sliding mode control is applied to the platform positioning to attain robust performances and stability in the presence of the disturbance related to dynamic coupling of the gimbal and the platform. Results from experiments illustrate that the suggested dual stage mechanism controlled by the sliding mode control is effective in improving responses and attenuating the disturbance response related with dynamic coupling.

저비중 SMC 외장패널의 피로특성 평가 (An Evaluation of the Fatigue Properties for External Panel Using Low Density SMC)

  • A research for application of LDSMC(Low Density Sheet Molding Compound) composite is in progress for lightening the weight. This paper has performed fatigue test and simulation of external panel for Korean commercial vehicle. Before the fatigue test, static test was carried out. From the test, the structural safety was investigated using Goodman diagram. After the static test performance, the fatigue test was conducted at a range of load frequency 5Hz, a stress ratio(R) of 0.05 and an endurance limit of $10^6$ to obtain the S-N curve. The S-N curve is applied to the fatigue analysis of the external panel assembly. The result of FEM analysis was in accord with the experimental result within 83% confidence. It showed that the process to set up the safety range of allowable error is required in process of the design and simulation verification.

  • Nowadays, the two microphone method is accepted as the standard as specified in ASTM E1050-90 for measuring in-duct acoustic properties. However, research results on using the least square method with multiple measurement points and broadband excitation have been reported for enhancing the frequency response of the two microphone method. In this paper, the effects of varying the relative measurement positions on errors in the estimation of the acoustic quantities is studied for the multiple microphone method. Both of the theoretical and experimental results show that, among every possible sensor positioning configurations, the equidistant positioning of sensors yields the smallest error within the effective measurement frequency range. In addition, it is noted that the measurement accuracy can be increased and the effective frequency range can be widened by increasing the number of equidistant sensors. Measurement examples are shown and the results support the findings.

  • This paper presents the theoretical development and qualitiative evaluation of a new concept in the mathematical modeling of dynamicstructures. We use both test data and analytical approximations to identify the parameters of an incomplete model. The model has the capability of prodicting the response of the points of interest on the structure over the frequency range of interest and can be used to predict the changes in natural frequencies and normal modes due to structural changes. The theory was tested by running simulated tests on a relatively simple structure, identifying the parameters of the incomplete model, and using this model to predict the effects on frequency and mode shapes of several mass and stiffness changes. The conditions of the test were varied by selecting different numbers of points of meansurement, varying the frequency range, and by including assumed measurement error. It is recommended that the theroetical development be continued and that applications to more complex structures be carried out in order todevelop a better understanding of the limitations and capabilites of the method. A successful, more definitive evaluation could lead to immediate practical applications.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the classified advantages and weak points of each landscape predictable simulation methods & techniques and to examine the suitability of through or selecting the predictable method suitable for present skill range and on studying the case of resident district unit plan. Therefore, we examined and evaluated through the case study of two sites. The results are as follows. It was very available to process the skill of mapping and picture combining method together at once. But, there was a limitation that is not flexible in the range of error on accuracy, so it was necessary to practically use the equipment and to study the theory. Providing the standard suitable for regional landscape character in each evaluation standard was also necessary.

MATLAB을 이용한 부동소수점 연산의 특이사항 분석 (Analysis of Some Strange Behaviors of Floating Point Arithmetic using MATLAB Programs)

  • A floating-point number system is used to represent a wide range of real numbers using finite number of bits. The standard the IEEE adopted in 1987 divides the range of real numbers into intervals of [$2^E,2^{E+1}$), where E is an Integer represented with finite bits, and defines equally spaced equal counts of discrete numbers in each interval. Since the numbers are defined discretely, not only the number representation itself includes errors but in floating-point arithmetic some strange behaviors are observed which cannot be agreed with the real world arithmetic. In this paper errors with floating-point number representation, those with arithmetic operations, and those due to order of arithmetic operations are analyzed theoretically with help of and verification with the results of some MATLAB program executions.
